Beautiful boot, true quality. Perfect.

Excellent shoes - I have always had trouble finding shoes that fit me and I always spent as little as possible on myself. It was suggested by a friend that I try Zappos to see if they had what I could wear. I tried and I got 8 w and it was perfect. I ordered a second pair and they didn't have that size but did have a 7.5 – ww. Got them and they fit perfect. I put them on and wore them all day at my job where I am on my feet a lot. Fit like a glove. Perfect. I ordered again but couldn't find same as I had so ordered and got wrong fit. I returned it for free. That was great. Ordered one morning and had shoes by next day. Unbelievable.

Comfortable, nice looking, but scuffs easily - I ordered these shoes after reading reviews admiring this shoe for its comfort and appearance. I have wide feet and was looking for a comfortable brown shoe and the Newports are fabulous. Very comfortable and they go great with jeans. My only complaint is they scuff easily, especially as I am a mom of a 2 year old and am kneeling down quite a bit. My next step is to find out how to care for them cosmetically, but besides that, they're great shoes. (P.S. Upon reviewers' advice, I ordered 1/2 size larger than usual and am glad I did.)

Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! I first ordered these shoes in what I thought was my size, but it turned out my feet had changed. I returned them for the correct size and they fit perfectly! There was no breaking in time needed-the minute I put them on they were comfortable. I did remove the insoles and put in my own orthotics and they felt better in these shoes than in other shoes I have used them in. I would buy more of this shoe if it came in other colors. These shoes work perfectly for me and I would recommend them to anyone who is considering this style.

Love these shoes - This is my second pair of these shoes. My first pair I wore to death - even got them re-soled. Wore them till they fell apart. Now use them for my lawn-mowing shoes! What I love the most is that they are comfortable immediately. No need to break in. I highly recommend these shoes.

I purchased the brown shoes about two years ago, and they became my favorite pair of shoes. I decided that I *needed* the black pair as well. They aren't the prettiest things, but they are quite functional for work shoes. They are comfortable to stand in for long periods of time and do not make my Achilles Tendonitis flair up. That's hard for me to find in a shoe. My mom likes them also. She has them in brown, but Santa might be getting her some black ones for Christmas.

My favorite - I can't remember where I bought my first pair, but they were brown and I wore them to work almost every day. I teach and am on my feet all day. They are a little plain, but the comfort makes up for that. I wore out my first pair, then purchased two new pairs - one brown and one black pair.

Excellent everyday shoe - I love this shoe. It is a very practical shoe that can be worn everyday (with pants.) They seem a little stiff at first but even that doesn't take away from the comfort and the all day wearability from the first time I put them on.

Fantastic and Comfy-Great Shoe - I bought a pair of these shoes in Brown Leather about 4 years ago and they are finally wearing out! After you break them in, this is the one and only shoe you will wear for the rest of your life. They are fast to slip off/on and look great with a pair of jeans. I will be buying them over and over again. I couldn't find them in the store so I came to Zappos and found my shoes. Great shoe and price!

Nice shoe - This shoe is very comfortable, and fits well on a wide foot. It is great for casual wear and to wear to work. Only drawback is that it's better for cold weather. The shoe makes your foot quite warm.

Eastland Newports - I bought these shoes for my sister as she (and myself) have trouble finding our sizes in shoe stores in our area. I am happy to report that my sister loves them! She wears them to work where she has to stand on a hard surface everyday and do physical labor. She informs me that they protect her feet and are very comfortable. Two thumbs up!

My favorite shoe - I love these shoes. I have had them almost 4 years and they are still my favorite. My 2 nieces, their husbands and my nephew and his wife have these shoes.

I love these shoes - I also bought the same style in brown. I had previously owned a pair that last almost 3 years, so you really get your money's worth. They are stylish with pants and extremely comfortable. I had to order a half size larger than I usually wear.

Great basic shoe - I wore these all day the first day I got them---feel great---a little stiff at first but very comfy. I have wide feet and have problems finding shoes that come in wide widths without looking like orthopedic shoes. They are a little plain but they go with jeans wonderfully. The delivery times are AWESOME---great service!!!

Fantastic - I love these shoes so much I searched stores in two states before I got wise enough to go to the internet, where I searched a good deal of sites before finding them. It was worth it. I love the look, the comfort, and the sturdiness of the Newport shoe. I still wear the pair I've had for three years around town and I save my new ones for work.

Practical Work Shoe - After years of wearing heels, I'm now working in a vocation where it's just not practical to do so. My new job required that I wear all black shoes and black pants. While not the most attractive or stylish shoes in the world, these shoes do exactly what they need to. I can be in them all day. They are a basic work shoe that are ideal with pants or even jeans on the weekend. The sole may be a little chunky for some, but I like the width and stability. If you are looking to wear these with a sock, you may want to consider going half a size larger. They are fine with stockings, thin socks, or knee-his.

Has the sizing changed in recent years? I've had a pair of brown Newports for several years and they're my favorite. I love the comfort, the fit and the style, and they look as good as the day I first wore them. However, I recently came back for a black pair but found that the same size (7W) no longer fits, either in length OR width! Has the sizing changed? Or does the size differ between the brown and the black? I was sad to have to return this shoe and am reluctant to order the next size up.

Eastland Newport - More comfortable than sneakers. They feel like slippers. They are a good walking shoe and they have great support. Actually I keep looking for something a little dressier to wear with pants, but I keep coming back to these, because comfort is my priority!

I do like this shoe and it is the second pair I have owned, however they are not beautiful, yet very rugged. I use these for very casual, especially if I am walking in rough terrain. They do look nice with jeans. Somewhat narrow along the sides of feet, but roomy in toe area, so if you do not like a tight fit shoe go a size larger or a width up.

Excellent shoe – I have always loved this shoe. The color and fit are outstanding. This is probably the 3rd pair I have had of this shoe.

I bought the brown ones - Very nice shoe. Dressy enough but yet casual for comfort. If you have a high instep, this shoe can be al little snug over the top of your foot.

Great everyday shoe - Overall am very pleased with these shoes. They're a little too casual for dress slacks, but work well with khakis and jeans. They do scuff very easily. I've only had them a couple of weeks and they are already all scratched up at the toes and sides.

My old favorite - My last pair of Newport's, I completely wore out. They are the perfect throw on shoe - with a sweater and jeans, or khakis and a nice shirt. Comfortable. Not too clunky - understated because the leather is so plain.

Great Shoe - I had to order another pair of these, as my puppy got a hold of mine and chewed it. I had worn these shoes for the past 3 years and I can wear them all day and my feet never hurt. That's why I came here and ordered another pair. Another 5 stars to Zappos too, ordered on a Monday, had them on Tuesday and they matched a price at another site. You cannot beat Zappos.
