I usually steer clear of designated diaper bags and have traditionally used a large or medium tote bag from another brand with pockets on the inside. Although I didn't need another bag, I saw this and decided to take the plunge. I have 2 kids in diapers. A 2.5+ year old and a 10 month old. The best part about this bag is it is wider than it is tall. This ensures that nothing gets totally lost on the bottom. The only other designated diaper bag I've bought in the past couple years was taller than it was wide and I could never find anything. The fact that it is a backpack allows me to have my hands free and wrangle my two kids. In the photos, I have a change of clothes for each kid, 6 or so disposable diapers, various wipes, bibs, a changing pad, and a couple blankets I use as burp cloths and whatever else is needed. There is ample room in the bag for more. I've easily stuffed coats, toys and lots of other things for a day out. We also cloth diaper and there is ample room for a wet bag and quite a few diapers. I use the front upper pocket for my wallet, keys, and other necessities. The changing pad that comes with it is pretty terrible so I've cast it aside. I use one of my washable ones I sew and it fits great rolled up inside. I use the back "laptop sleeve" as a pocket and due to the flexibility of the bag, I fit diapers and wipes back there. There are also two good size slip pockets in the main compartment. I love the small zipper pouch that's included for organizing small items. The cooler bag is actually pretty well insulated for an insulated compartment. Usually they're so flimsy and don't actually insulate but this one actually does the job. I throw a small ice pack and usually one or 2 8 oz bottles in it. They stay pretty cold, though I feel like if it was warmer out I'd definitely go back to my lunchbox and more ice packs. Works fine for trips out during New England winter right now though. The side water bottle pockets fit my toddlers 12 oz water bottle and my 16oz stainless bottle. The front slip pocket is great for my phone and some tissues. By far my favorite bag I've ever used as a diaper bag. Great quality zippers and the bag itself is well made. Doesn't scream diaper bag and can definitely be used for many years.

This diaper bag can hold as much as any person is willing to carry. It is fabulous for day to day, trips to the beach, on the plane, etc. The massive inside can hold ooodles of diapers, comes with a small zipper pouch, and padded changing mat, a nice padded sleeve to slip your laptop or tablet into, and 2 smaller pockets for things like diaper cream, snacks, etc. there's a smaller pouch with a lanyard to attach your keys that also fits my wallet and cell phone nicely with a pair or 2 of sunglasses. The cooler can easily hold 5 narrow Dr. Brown type bottles, and there is a sleeve in it as well. There's 2 outer water bottle sleeves, and a large sleeve in the front to slide something in quickly. The clips on the straps are great for attaching to a stroller, wagon or shopping cart. The material is durable, easily wipes down, and lightweight. I can fit everything I need for my family of 4 easily into here for a nice little day trip. I absolutely love this bag, the only thing would be a chest clip, and a cooler part big enough to fit a wide mouth bottle.

I wanted so bad to see more reviews before I purchased this bag. I pulled the trigger and bought, and I am happy I did. I pack for a 6 month old and 5 year old with Autism. So I have LARGE pull ups, and size 3 diapers. This bag fits 3 of each, a wipes pack, a 10 inch kindle, toys, a packing cube with clothing options, and a small blanket, a packing cube with a harness, and 2 yetis - a 12 oz, and a 18 oz. I am not the biggest fan of the cooler on the front, I wish it was a mom pocket, but I feel like it was designed well. Very easy to put on and off, easy to hook to a shopping cart, wagon or stroller. I wish that we could add a chest strap, or a messenger strap. The website pictures suck, there are 2 slip pockets inside, a bag, changing pad, and slip pocket for laptop. there is a pouch with key leash on the front above the cooler. there is a pocket in the cooler, and on the outside. overall 5/5 - and I have literally tried and returned dozens of diaper bags. I'm keeping this one.

I bought this actually to be the bag for my service dog, and it's been perfect. Exceeded my expectations.

We needed a new diaper bag for our 1 yo as are other one broke. Tried the llbean bag and definitely did not disappoint. It is HUGE which is what I wanted. Enough space for all the essentials plus extra space for toys and whatever you may need. Plus I feel this bag could also double as a weekender bag down the road. I w received many compliments on it from other parents ever since I bought it too. Would buy again for sure.

Was looking for a diaper bag that was big enough to store belongings for two kiddos and this one does just that with room to spare!

Love this diaper bag. I know it's on the bigger side but it holds a lot of items and still fits under the stroller. I also love all the different pockets and compartments.

Bag is great for needs of mom of two - toddler and baby. Big enough and sturdy. The handles are nice when picking up the bag. Backpack is actually comfortable for size as well!! Comes w a zip back and diaper mat. Appreciate this. Feels very well made and sturdy

Got this diaper bag over two years ago for my first kid, now we've had our second and it has worked like a charm. It's a big backpack, very wide and a lot of pockets. We can be out for a whole day of adventures and survive out of this bag. Love the insulated cooler pocket for bottles for the baby and food for my toddler.

Our old diaper bag was busting at the seams. I have twin babies and a toddler. I am an over-packer for myself, so you can imagine how bad I am with 3 kids. It holds everything our old bag did and there is still space to add whatever I need. I also love the shape of it; I can find things easily. The water bottle pockets are so stretchy and secure. Some people complained that the bottle pouch is too padded. I only put two at a time in mine, and it's fine for me.

this is an awesome personal item bag as a Flight Attendant . It's the one I've been using for the past couple months. It's awesome. The stroller straps work OK to hold it on my roller board, but it would be awesome. If it had a trolley sleeve that would make us bag perfect

I'm not really a big LL Bean shopper but this bag may change that! We have a newborn and toddler, so honestly, we carry a lot of stuff. We've done multiple bag prior to this, including the viral ones that are twice the price and it's not even close this bag is the best. Why? 1. Lightweight materials. The stuff in the bag weighs enough. 2. It is wider and shallower so you can easily find stuff. This bag holds a lot so you want to be able to look around. 3. Light colored interior, so again, you can easily find stuff 4. High quality 5. The pockets and zippers make sense! Everything has a place and the pockets are all the right so to be useful without overwhelming. 6. Unisex so my husband and I both carry it w out the need to switch bags. I wish we'd found this bag with our first but we love it now!

Highly recommend this diaper bag- if you're considering it, just buy it. You won't regret it! Like one of the other reviews mentioned, I don't understand why it doesn't seem to show up on lists of the best diaper bags. It is very high quality as expected from LL Bean, reasonably priced, and a great size. I received one as a gift from my baby registry and then loved it so much that I bought a second one in the new blue color to carry everything I need for pumping when I'm at work. I work in healthcare and this is able to hold everything I need for pumping as well as my lunch bag for my 24 hour shifts away from home with room to spare. I also love that it doesn't explicitly look like a diaper bag- I definitely plan to use both of mine as carry ons/luggage in the future. My ONLY complaint about it is the ridiculously narrow insulated pocket- it is a tight fit with a flexible ice pack and one of our 8 oz glass baby bottles. This isn't a dealbreaker for me personally as I would typically plan to have a dedicated cooler bag with me if I was going to be out and about long enough to need multiple bottles anyway, but it is a bit disappointing nonetheless.

We are now six months into using this diaper bag, and it is truly a 10/10. We have flown and travelled with it without any issues. It's a wider diaper bag which is awesome, you can see everything and it has dividers in the main pocket. Also, love the cooler function on the front. I usually just throw a slim ice pack in there with the bottles of EBM made, and it keeps them cold. We would buy this diaper bag over and over again, actually we plan to do just that with each little one that comes along! It's worth the money.

I looked at so many diaper bags! I ultimately chose this knowing I wanted at least a backpack and maybe another bag. I have yet to buy another bag because this one is perfect. It has great compartments for multiple storage. It holds a lot! I don't see myself using another bag anytime soon.

I've had quite a few high end diaper bags, and this one tops them all! Super durable, I love the layout, and absolutely the most comfortable to wear!

I love this diaper bag and how much stuff I can fit in it. The top opens enough so I can see everything which is a great improvement from the last diaper bag I used.

Awesome diaper bag. Very durable and large. I like that it is more wide than deep so you can find everything easily when it is unzipped. Would buy again. The only issue I have with it is the front small zipper has thick padding, I'm not really sure what it is used for (maybe like an iPad?) and it is hard to store stuff because the padding is so thick.

We got this bag after debating between some otherswhich were on the pricier side. My husband somehow found this one (loden) and we went to the local store in THE NEXT day because they had one in stock. We just wanted to see it in person but immediately we both were like "this is THE bag". We wanted one that my husband wouldn't mind carrying, one that would last & be durable with our Vermonty lifestyle, the cooler pocket is a huge plus, and this thing packs a punch in size too. We pack everything we need for an outing and then some for our little family of three. This bag isn't talked about enough. For the quality and price it's wild to me that this isn't viral. I do wish they had more color options but we wanted green anyways. We also got a matching expandable lunchbox in thyme to match it for snacks/milkies for lil guy. 10/10 recommend!

Ordered this in camo green for my niece when she just had her first baby. It's the best diaper bag I've ever seen! Wasn't sure that she would like this color, as the all-black looks very sharp online! She loves the green with the contrasting orange zipper. And she is very impressed with all the features of the bag itself! I'm so glad I saw this diaper bag on the website. This is very durable and will last through many babies!

It has so much room and so many pockets. It truly might be the best diaper bag in the world.

I have 3 kids under 4 and I have gone through 4 different diaper bags. This one is by far my favorite. It fits everything you need in one convenient pack. It has an insulated pocket that fits a variety of differently shaped bottles with room for a slim ice pack. It's roomy enough to contain a set of clothes for each of my kids who are all young enough to still have occasional accidents plus all my baby gear. It also has room for my items so I don't have to carry a separate bag for mom stuff. I have never not been able to fit everything I think I might need for any particular outing. This diaper backpack is the best. No regrets.

Best diaper bag after going through 3-4 others. I am not sure why more people dont mention this bag in lists, but this beats any of the bags that people have recommended. The bag has a lot of space making it easy to find things. It feels ver comfortable and sturdy to wear as well. The insulated pocket is great and the smaller, quick access pocket works well.
