Grandson LOVED his new bag. We decided to upgrade him to something good after his other backpacked got ripped at school.

Love this bag! Only two negatives in my few months use so far--the straps are wide-set for sure. Others noted this in their reviews, which I saw before I purchased it, but I decided to go for it anyways. Definitely wide, but not a huge issue in my opinion. Also, minor thing--the pencil/pen pockets are way too skinny to fit a normal pen in. Seems odd. Positives--I love the Olive color I got!!! Professional, yet cute and my favorite color. The laptop sleeve fits both my laptops perfectly. The other pockets are spacious, so I can easily use it as a weekend trip bag. It has the chest and abdominal straps for support, which I like, and is overall very comfortable to wear! The straps do have less padding than my previous backpack from here. Oh, and the water bottle pockets are a great size! I didn't have those on my previous bag, and I am so glad they included them on this style!

My teenager - who doesn't use a locker in high school and whose emotional expressions are... muted - LOVES this bag. He carries his gear comfortably on his walk to and from school daily (about a mile each way). He carries his laptop, books, notebooks, etc. He reports it is super comfy to wear (his words!) and that it is "indestructible". Win!

So far so good. I'm and adult man, about 6'2". This bag is a little small on me, but I wanted it not to be a big monster. I use it to carry my laptop(s) and travel essentials as I negotiate airports and hotels. It's my office in a bag that doesn't scream "laptop backpack." Its small enough to "place under the seat in front of you" on the plane, so I can get to my things throughout the flight easily. It's light but strong similar to a trail backpack which is exactly what I wanted. The zipper openings don't go way down the sides of the bag, which I like. It's a semi-top-loader. You can get to your stuff without the zippers wandering down, the bag opening up, and everything spilling out. It has a few pockets/compartments, but not so many that you forget where you put stuff. Its not huge; it might not have suited me in high school or college when I had a payload of textbooks and 3-ring binders; however, now I can be more of a traveling minimalist, and I didn't want huge. It's a good blend of day-hike trail bag and a compact work/school bag.

Comfortable, roomy, durable, compact but expandable, and cool-looking. All the important stuff you need in a backpack.

I absolutely love this backpack! It fits everything I need for college and for weekend trips (with compression bags), as well! The waist strap is fantastic and it is really great in balancing a heavy load. The color is also excellent! Can't say enough good things about it! Perfection!

Granddaughter asked if we could buy her a bigger backpack for high school and she loves it!! Has great back support. She is happy so are we.

We bought this for our son going in as a Freshman in high school. So far works great and as his 2 older Bean backpacks got him all the way from Kindergarten thru 8th, we expect this new one to see him thru high school and beyond.

All my children lives I have bought them LL. Bean backpacks. Not like it's been many, because they last several years. My son is on his 4th backpack, going off to college. Not that his other backpack wore out. He just wanted a new one for college. Well constructed and crafted.

I recently bought this backpack for an upcoming trip as a carry on for the plane. There were so many pockets, it kept everything extremely organized and the pockets were situated in perfect places that I was easily able access items I needed without having to dig through the backpack. The zippers zipped and unzipped easily which was nice when I was having to go through security and customs without having to take my backpack off. The straps were comfortable. On the way back, it was stuffed to the brim and to my surprise it still slid easily under the seat in front of me on the airplane without having to stuff it under the seat or really pull to get it out. Overall this is a great backpack for traveling and I was able to fit a lot into it!

I purchased this backpack for my middle schooler and it's nice and large and spacious. It has enough compartments to fit his needs and it looks great too.

Looks are deceiving.....this backpack holds a lot more than U think it will!:) My high schooler loves it:)!
