Great pack. We did have a tear in the shoulder strap after 3 months, but LL Bean happily gave us a new pack. So 5 stars for the pack and LL Bean.

Love the pockets. My last backpack lasted through 18 years of abuse. This is a different model but I expect this to wear well.

Large, adjustable and tough. My son loves it. They have no lockers and he has to carry everything. This backpack is strong enough to carry it all without zipper damage like his previous two.

Love this backpack. Big and roomy. Carries at ton. Straps are supportive.

Great backpack with lots of room! My 12 year old loves it and has plenty of room for lunch bag, big binder, Chromebook and extra things.

My 13 year old daughter loves this backpack. It has plenty of room for everything she needs and even a padded laptop spot. No more carrying two bags around campus. It's great looking too.

Absolutely love this bag! So many compartments to carry all of my different items to and from work every day. Very comfortable on my back, even when fully loaded. My 32 ounce Nalgene water bottle fits in the outside pocketsLOVE THAT!!!! :-)

It's really the perfect size for a middle and/or high schooler. It can fit a laptop or chrome book and several binders without being overly bulky and heavy

Fits a lot. My middle schooler carries a laptop, several notebooks and textbooks, and soccer equipment/cleats. He says it's very comfortable.

Great sturdy backpack. The pockets on the side for beverages are deep enough to keep water bottles from slipping out.

I like this backpack as it has lots of room, many pockets, is easy on my back with the padded straps. I can fit all my school books, computer, lunchbox, water bottle.

Perfect backpack for my daughter. She has a large binder for school, one for music classes plus her computer and lunch pail. She has room to carry it all with this backpack! Pretty color, spacious, great quality!

This back pack is a great size for high school students. My high school senior has been carrying this backpack for 4 years and it is still in great shape. This year, my freshman needed a new back pack and she wanted another brand (NF). Against my better judgement, I caved and bought it for her but, I ended up having to return it because it didn't hold all of her binders and books. I went back to LL Bean and ordered the Comfort Carry Portable Locker Pack, 42L... took a little while to receive it but when we finally did, she loves it!! It has great organizational pockets and holds everything she needs to carry everyday.

Since our school is being renovated there are no lockers! My daughter has to carry an astonishing amount of stuff all day. We replaced her previous backpack with this one and it is so much more comfortable for her. Great back support and doesn't add too much weight. She loves it!

Very durable. Slight (tiny) rip on the shoulder strap where it attaches to the bag (doesn't affect the ability to carry anything) but I assumed it would have a bit of ripping because I'd seen the reviews. Our other backpack from another store ripped in 10 different places (completely across the top) and was duct taped and sewn back together (by myself) all in less than 2 weeks of school. This LL Bean backpack is awesome. It carries a lot, has the option to attach it across the chest and waist which make carrying all the heavy books so much easier. It also connects on the sides to bring the weight back to the center instead of the bottom and pulling you back. It has a big open flap in the front that my son drops his pencils and pens down into and doesn't have to worry about losing them. I've been watching the tiny rip since it first appeared where the shoulder strap attaches to the top of the bag and it hasn't gotten any bigger. I waited 4 weeks for the bag to come in because it was on back order. Customer service was awesome and kept me updated whenever I called. I give this bag 5 stars and know my son (12 years old-7th grade) will be able to use it through MS and HS too.

Very large and perfect for all Highschool and then College needs!

My son in 8th grade loves this backpack! The water bottle holder accommodates his tall, slender aluminum water bottle. He says it is comfortable and fits all his things for school (binged, chromebook, etc). Very happy!
