These are the warmest socks I own. They are fluffy on the inside and hold the heat in and keep the draft out. Very comfortable and very durable. I have had a few pairs for years and they have been washed hundreds of times. Love them!

It's nice to purchase something that's made in the USA. These socks are quality made and great for the up-coming winter. I purchased these for someone that works out-doors and he loves them.

Amazingly warm, thick and comfortable! I only bought 1 pr. to try them out and now I want a few more. I've bought other socks too and am very satisfied with them. I had surgery on one leg and the plates that were put in make it difficult to be comfortable in shoes. The socks help a lot. I rate this item a 10.

I use these year round - Have bought for everyone in the family - to keep them from taking mine - which is why I'm purchasing again! These keep your feet DRY, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. THICK - great for my narrow feet even in my narrow original LLBean Duck boots; Caution if you have average to wide feet, these socks will probably give you a tight fit - so adjust your boots or socks accordingly.

used two pair of these on AT Thruhike (2012 ). great performance, rugged, comfortable, and they really pull the moisture from your feet. when it rains for days and your feet are soaked, you can wring these out and your feet keep from getting blisters and foot rot. The only issue I had with these socks is that the elastic band on at the top started rip away after 3.5 months of hiking. I stopped in to LLBeans in Hanover NH and they replaced them, no questions asked. Note I also had a pair of 'darn tough socks" that I also like. performance is equal, and warranty is equal.

these socks look good, I'll be sending them to my son, he'll be deployed in Afganistan for a year. We'll see the condition they're in when he returns.

Great sock, period. But, they use those little fish line t-hooks to secure the socks to the package and with the large cushion looping on the inside of the sock for warmth and comfort, you may find, as I did, the sock pulled with a 'run' before you get it off the packaging. A really stupid idea given the sock's fabric.

My husband loved these, but found the fit a little snug. I have just bought him 2 more pairs in Large rather than Medium. This may not apply to all, as my husband has foot problems from an accident which crushed his toes, and part of his insteps, making the feet very sensitive.

I pretty much live in these socks. They stand up to a lot of use as I wear them with hiking boots every day as I work on our farm. I find them to be really comfortable and wear them year round. As with all thick hiking socks, you will likely need a larger size shoe than you normally wear.

excellent socks warm, don't fall down and feel great on my old feet as I am on them all day. I wear these with my llbean summer sneakers with all the ventilation in them and my feet hold up well, I don't know how well they would do in boots , as I hate boots but they work well in the winter with sneakers!

I've always preferred wool socks year-round and these are the most comfortable I've worn in 45-50 years! With the merino wool, they're very cushion-y, comfortable in the heat or cold and don't rub. They're so great that I've just sent multiple pairs to my Army son who's deployed in a far away land - at least I'll know his feet are well cared for and comfortable thanks to these LL Bean Boot Socks (dk khaki, of course)

well made, thick and extremely warm, these are the perfect match for a cold Montana morning.

I have been looking for a nice heavy pair of boot socks. I've worn these all winter and they still look new. I've washed them many times and they did not shirk, and that's rare. They make all my boots more comfortable.

This is a great sock for boots. It is thicker but not too heavy and gives extra comfort and warmth. Does not itch if worn all day. Recommended.

WOW I HAD NO IDEA THEY REALLY MEANT THICK..THESE ARE THICK AND QUALITY SOCK...NOW WE ARE TALKING! I WONDER WHAT THE MEDIUM THICK ARE LIKE. REALLY NICE SOCK. HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE LARGE ENOUGH FOOT WEAR .

These socks are thick, but not bulky. They're very soft inside. I wear a size 7 shoe and the mediums fit.
