Excellent quality, heavy, warm socks, perfect for cold weather walking in boots or shearling slides.

I'm an upland guide and usually wear LL bean boots everyday (have three pairs I alternate between). These socks make the boots very comfortable for all day wear in the uplands. I highly recommend. I wear a size 8 shoe and find the large size to fit better....especially after washing.

I have about 7 pairs of these. I love them. They are so warm. I love wearing them around the house in the winter as slippers. They are thick, warm & very comfy. Best socks I have ever had.

#1; I'm sort of a "Sock Guy" and been wearing them for a very long time. I would rate these socks as one of the best heavy socks I have ever owned. #2: They are probably even on par with the wool socks my Grandmother in Sweden knitted in the 60's, (still have those).

I am going to college in Flagstaff Arizona (freezing cold) from Southern California (not) and needed a good pair of socks for my boots. I can honestly say that putting on these socks surprised me. After working on a ranch in Colorado every summer for 5 years, I have experienced quite a few boot socks. I wish I had known about these sooner! I tried them on with my bean boots and it felt wonderful and cozy, and trying them on with my cowboy boots was great because of the padding these socks offer. If you work on your feet all day, these are a must!! I have yet to see how they will do in the freezing cold Flagstaff winter, but so far I love them. BUY THESE SOCKS. I know the price is a little daunting but I promise it is worth it. I will never buy another boot sock again, these are the best.

This is my second set of three of this identical sock. I have walked/hiked miles and miles all over the world in the first ones with no wetness to my feet. Even when the calves'-level elastic gets ruffly, the elastic still holds. Wear them in the winter around the house with no shoes. Money well spent and I love the colors (green/grey). These new pairs are back-ups in case LLB decides to discontinue! augh!

I am an avid hiker and rockhound which forces me to navigate some extreme terrain, so high-top boots are essential for ankle support. These socks have the perfect height and cushion for long hikes in and out. I keep an extra pair in my backpack to change into at the halfway point for additional comfort. They are also warm enough for when the temperature unexpectedly drops at higher elevation. During hot days, these socks keep my feet dry with "moisture wicking" fabric.

I wear these socks year round in my steel toed shoes. My feet never sweat, smell, or blister. Like wearing bedroom shoes. You cannot beat this sock, and none of the other LL Bean Merino wool socks compare. I've tried them all. I order these in the spring when they are in stock. Sometimes gone by August. Don't know why they don't stock more of them.

These are the only socks my husband will wear. He stands on his feet all day working at a lumber company and likes the cushioning that these socks provide. We live in PA and he wears them year round. They are expensive, but they hold up well and are worth the money.

Kept my feet warm this winter goose hunting in N Idaho weather.

I would happily recommend these comfortable soft socks that are loved by the guy I gave them to. I gave him two pairs for the holidays and they were such a hit that I gave him two more!

Bought a pair of these at our local LL bean store. My wife put them on and won't take them off !!! She wears them around the house like slippers. I had to order another pair for her. These may be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for AND they are made in the USA !!!

My socks are warm and comfortable. Perfect for my LLBean boots.

My feet are always cold, and I've found these to be the warmest, most comfortable socks anywhere, and I've tried quite a few. I can't wait to put them on as soon as I get off work. If you live in a cold place like I do, and want your feet to stay warm, these are the absolute best!

I bought 2 pairs for my husband for Christmas. He thinks these socks are wonderful! He likes warm,comfy socks to wear inside the house every night. He is particular about his indoor socks. He wears this product every night - never wore them outside yet. I would recommend these socks to anyone!

These are wonder thick boot socks made mostly of wool, so they are nice and warm. They looked like they would be too big, but are a nice fit. They are a little too thick for wearing with tennis shoes, but sized nicely for outdoor and hiking boots.

But only for the LL hiking boot. I would find it difficult to wear these socks with everyday shoes. They really are as described in the details. Lots of padding in the toes and heel. I have used them hiking in the Ozarks.

These are the best warmest cushioned socks ever. I hated when my feet were cold & always hating being outdoors for any length of time because of that. These socks have made a significant difference & my husband "accidentally" got ahold of a pair of mine. He works outdoors & wears boots all day. They kept his feet warm & dry & he commented how "cushiony" they are he wanted some! We're sold on these socks that between the two of us we own about 10prs! Thank you LLBean for keeping us warm & happy when working outdoors, Great product, don't change a thing or discontinue them.

Warm @ 3 degrees! Non-scratchy, comfortable. Size medium a perfect fit for my size 7 feet.

i got these because of the photos showing them to be different and man are they, they fit snug yet give in the right area , they are warm , i suffer from nerve damage in my feet so they get cold easy, these are some warm socks , i like how they have been made to give in the right areas , i was surprised and happy

Very comfortable, thick and lots of elastic.. Most socks wear out and don't stay up, these are very good quality and worth the price.

these socks are wonderful. Fit is good and they wash well. They are comfortable, warm and sometimes I use them in place of slippers. They are very thick so if buying them to wear with boots make sure you have roomy boots.

I have several pairs of these in both colors. I wear them around the house in the winter & wear them in my boots outside. They keep my feet very warm & cozy.. I love both colors.
