I love the weight of these socks and wear them with my work boots. 5 stars!

I bought these in December on a whim......just in from shoveling snow, my toes, which are usually frost bitten by now are toasty warm. I KNOW what everyone is getting for Christmas next year! Can we make these as mittens?

I am a lazy guy. I wash all my clothes together and then put them all in the dryer at high heat. Under those conditions, these socks will shrink. While my sock size is Large, I had to buy X-Large. Love the socks. Wore them camping in northern Maine in a variety of boots.

These are the most comfortable sock for the Bean boot. A must have.

I purchased 2 pairs, as my husband is on his feet and works out of doors part of the time - these are thicker, with some nice padding on the soles of the socks, which are great. They are also very warm, and the wool is truly soft and not scratchy. Great socks for the winter.

I purchased these sock as a gift. The recipient tells me he is happy with them. This is why I shop LL Bean. I can generally purchase gifts for others with no difficulties.

I bought these to go with my beloved trusty maine hunting "shoes". I expected them to be nice, but thought there was some possibility they were a little over hyped by the reviews. They are absolutely as great as everyone says. Great with boots, great wicking qualities, and here lately I've even found myself getting these out of the drawer instead of reaching for the slippers if I'm staying in. They also make excellent socks to wear in my waders when I'm fly fishing. I'm buying several more of these right now. Buy these. You'll be really glad you did. Good game LL Bean once again.

There's not much to say here. The size guide worked well. The socks are thick and wool. I use these with my boots, and my feet are never cold. Comfortable and not scratchy, I highly recommend these socks.

These socks are great and snuggly and warm. I'm a women's size 8 in most shoes, and these fit me very well - unlike the Cresta Heavyweight which do generally run very large (women's s10 I would guess) but are similar in warmth and snuggle factors.

I have given these socks to my 2 sons and my nephew 2 years in a row for Christmas. They love them. They all work in a trade and are outside and inside all day. They all said that these socks are the best they have ever worn. They keep their feet warm when needed and cool when needed as well.

I bought these as a birthday present for my dad. He was very happy to receive them, since he just bought new boots. Considering the harsh winter we had last year in Northern Indiana, he wanted something to keep his feet warm while shoveling the driveway and going for his daily walks.

No other sock keeps feet as comfortable as this one in the coldest conditions. Feet are warm and dry no matter what activity. They are pricey, but an excellent value as they last for years if washed in cold water and hung dry. My husband has 5 pair and is totally spoiled. Treat someone you know with cold feet.

I was reticent to order these socks because I have thick calves and tall socks are often too tight. These fit nicely. They are loose enough that they do not cut off circulation to my feet. They warm and soft as well. I will purchase more of these.
