These socks are my latest favorite pair! They are thick enough to satisfy me (a thick sock fan) without being so thick that one can't wear them with shoes. They absorb moisture and do not itch. I ordered the khaki- they will go with anything. The sizing is perfect. I want more!

I have very poor circulation in my feet; therefore, my feet are always freezing! I decided to invest in several pairs of wool socks. I purchased 4 different pairs from L.L Bean, and these are my favorite! They are so warm and cozy! Definitely would recommend for wearing with boots and around the house on a chilly day.

My family loves the LLBean wool socks. They keep your feet warmer and wear longer than any other socks we have tried. The Boot Socks are heavier and padded more than the other weight socks we have. These socks are also nice to wear with our slippers! Overall, LLB products are of excellent quality. I have been shopping with LLB since 1986.

I have used three pair of LLB Boot Socks backpacking for years. They have over five hundred miles on granite WY mountains in 70 to -10 degrees rain, sleet and snow. The three new 2015 pair with only 125 miles look like the five hundred mile pair. Excellent rugged reliable socks in all conditions.

I bought three different pairs of socks and I'm very please with the quality. Just as described. Comfortable in my l.l. Bean boots.

Needed socks to go under boots. These are great. Gift for my husband. Soft, warm, very comfortable.

I am comparing these to another cold weather sock I like, made by Carhartt. they both feel the same in working in 40s temps with a boot built for toughness, not warmth. Both performed the same. But I liked wearing the Carhartts in the house, using fleece/polar plus slippers with rubber soles, This, of all places, is where I discovered the advantage of Bean's Boot socks. Sometimes there is just a slight sweat in the socks slipper combo with Carhartt. But the Beans socks kept my feet absolutely dry and felt wonderful. I love the feeling of Carhartts, too, but Bean's really has a better feel and dryness. Extremely comfortable. There is like a loop thread weave in the Bean's socks and is delightful. I intend to put these both to the test when weather gets much colder. Outside, they are about even in the 40s. Inside, Beans wins hands down. I find keeping feet warm yet comfortable inside a challenge. So if you happen to care about inside performance, i'd really give these try. They are wonderful. The Carhartts are about 1 third cheaper, but for inside use, I'd say the 50% more price is worth it. I'll see what the really cold weather brings this year.

These are great socks. I've used these for a number of years in different applications. They retain their shape and size over many washings and consistently provide good protection against the cold and blisters. Particularly nice under a dry suit. For me, the bulk of the sock is perfect, not too heavy. I would recommend these socks to anyone. Another alternative is the hiker socks.

I bought these socks for my daughter who wears the LLBean duck boots. She loves them and wears them on a cold northern university campus in Michigan. They are excellent quality for the price. It is great that they are neutral gender made in the tan with greenish blend. They also were delivered right on promised date.

These socks are the best hiking boot socks. Just returned from a backpacking trip to the San Rafael Sweep area and these were the only socks I took.

I have owned many, many different wool socks and I thought I had found my favorites until I tried the L.L.Bean Boot Sock. First Impression: At first glance, these socks really don't look much different than anything else out there, but when I picked them up for the first time, they definitely felt softer than any of my other socks. They also felt sturdy, high quality. When I slipped them on....wow. I don't even know how to describe it. Super soft and cozy. These socks are pretty thick so make sure you have plenty of room in your boot for these (1/2 size larger than normal maybe). It is still too warm to try these in the field here, but I will be giving these a workout the first chance I get. 5 stars from me, right now.

I bought these socks for my daughter and have not worn them. She wanted them to wear with her boots and I think they are perfect for that--thick and warm.

Bought two pairs to go with my Husband's L.L. Bean boots, as recommended by them, and they are perfect. They do not make the boots too tight, are warm and soft. I will be buying more!

As mentioned in my review of your boots, I am not patient with crummy products or with a grumbly husband. We have ordered several more pairs after this purchase. No rubbing or scratchiness from some sort of blend - excellent.

I'm a women with around size 8 sneakers. The Medium size fit great but the small was too small. Very soft and comfortable. Love to just wear around the house but will be great with snow boots!!! The inside is very plush and soft. Cushioned when you walk on them.

Title says it all. Socks are amazing. Period. Just like every other product I have from them. $20 for a pair of socks? Yes they are that good and will last a while. Definitely worth it. Buying another pair soon. FYI bought a pair for my dad because he's a diabetic. Great on his feet!

These socks are really well made. At first I was skeptical about the price but I'm glad I bought them as I'm wearing them with boots and I want to avoid blisters so I needed a heavyweight sock. I was really amazed with the quality, the pictures don't show the nice inner lining of these socks. I'm extremely pleased with these socks and I plan on buying more.

I ordered these socks to wear with my Bean Boots. They are very thick, warm and great L.L.Bean quality as per usual. I ordered the size medium and I am a woman's size 9.

So worth the cost. Durable, comfortable, fits. He is in boots 12 hours/day. Has worn these for years.

Fit well (I'm a size 9 1/2 Medium). Warm. Dry winter socks. What else could you ask for? A touch expensive though.
