I am a woman and bought these in the size small. I wear a size 8 women's shoe. They are a tad too big, but I bought them to wear around my house instead of slippers. They are ULTRA comfortable, cushiony and WARM. I love them!! They have worn exceptionally well with no holes in the heels after considerable use. I did order similar men's socks from a well-known competitor and these are FAR SUPERIOR!! I definitely recommend them to both men and women who want comfortable and durable socks!

I bought these socks for my husband along with the popular LL Bean boots as a gift for Christmas and they were a huge hit, but he can't stop talking about these socks! He wears them all the time. He even wears them around house because they're so comfortable. The workmanship is beautiful, they're warm and have a great feel to them. Maybe I need some-?

Bought them for my husband who is very hard on all his socks and shoes for some reason. He loves these. They are soft, cushion-y, protective from rubs with all day wear in boots, warm, comfortable... They machine wash and dry well. They are awfully pricey, I think, but you usually get what you pay for. These are well above average quality. When he eventually goes through these, I will probably get them for him again.

They are so warm and perfect for cold weather

these are the most comfortable socks ever! I wear around the house all day long.

I started buy these socks 5 years ago.My husband is a hunter, he loves these socks, they keep his feet warm and dry.

At the price at which they are sold, I would expect these to be comfortable, thick, cushion-y, and I would expect them to fit well. After using them for a few weeks now, I can attest that these socks live up to all of those expectations. In fact, after trying my first pair, I decided to order two more pairs. My favorite trait of these socks is the "cushy" factor. They are the "cushiest," thickest socks I've ever owned. Since I live in Los Angeles and will only be using these for around three months per year, these three pairs should last me for years. My regular socks have lasted me more than 10 years so perhaps these will, too. ---------- To me, these socks are comfortable as there is very minimal itch involved. (This is in contrast to my experience with L.L.Bean's heavy wool raag socks which, though it advertises to the contrary, I found very itchy. Those wool raag socks are also much thinner - less "cushy" - than these Bean Boot socks. I ended up exchanging those merino wool raag socks for one of the previously mentioned pairs of this merino wool Bean Boot socks.) ---------- The first pair that came to me ripped slightly at the top on one of the socks due to a manufacturing defect but L.L.Bean customer service took care of that with no hesitation in an even-exchange process. That's also another thing I most appreciate about L.L.Bean which will keep me coming back: the second-to-none customer service and return policy. ---------- I bought all of them under a 25% off sale. Given their quality, comfort, and style, and my use of them in my L.L.Bean boots in Los Angeles as well as around the hardwood floor house during winter, I expect these to be a great investment for years to come. ---------- For anyone in need of a serious thick sock, I will be recommending those people to watch out for an L.L.Bean 25% off sale, and to consider buying these socks at that time. I would do so again myself should the need for more of these socks occur. I'm glad I invested in these as well as the standard 8" L.L.Bean original duck boots. My husband loves these. Every year he asks for these for Christmas. Every year I think, Really. Socks?" Yes. Really. He loves these socks and wears them just about every day. Thanks for always having them in stock!

These socks fit well and are warm. I wear them when I go outdoors, hunting, ice fishing , snow shoeing.My feet never get cold.

I love these socks for their cushiony feeling. LL Bean favors them for boots which makes sense as you need extra room whether you have them with shoes or boots. I use them inside slip on suede shoes which are weatherproof. If I don't wear these kind of socks, those shoes need an insert for a fit with regular socks.

My favorite ski socks my daughter says, very warm, looks like new after few washes, you cannot ask for more.

Fit my work boots great but too thick for western boots. Great to wear around the house in winter.

Simply put, these are the best boot socks made. I buy them for myself and as gifts. They are both warm and comfortable. A must have.

I bought these for my granddaughter that is studying to be a veterinarian. She needed something warm and long lasting for her 7 years in school with cold winters in barns Ect. I have had a pair for over 15 years. They never wear out and if they did ll bean said they would replace them. So she was so excited .

Nice warm cozy socks to wear around the house on cold winter days. Someone mentioned they have a "smell" to them. That barely noticeable "smell" is just the lanolin that kept the sheep warm and dry while he was wearing them.

These socks are perfect for my cold feet!

These soft socks keep my feet warm without causing any wool sensitivity. I wear them all day.

I wear women's size 9.5 shoe and the medium size of these socks fits perfectly.These socks are great at keeping my feet warm and providing a nice cushion under my feet due to how thick they are. I will definitely buy more of these and recommend them to anyone who is tired of always having cold feet. These socks are so thick you will need space in your footwear to accommodate them. They work well in my hiking boots and oversized running shoes, but make my normal boots feel too tight. I didn't find these socks to be waterproof or water resistant in rainstorms.

These socks are wonderful. Thick and very warm. Wash well, too.

I buy them for my son in law he loves them for work. He's a landscaper.

My son in law loves them. We live in Fl so instead of using them in a boot he uses them as slipper socks.
