Love it, but it's too small. Women have big heads too! L-XL is just too tight.

Love the style and cozy warmth of the Bomber cap; however it would be nice to have sherpa lining as an option. Also, the clip is a bit cumbersome to clip on and off.

I ended up not keeping the hat. I think I got a smaller size and it looked like a swimming cap with fur. That said I would recommend how light it feels on the head, it's not bulky and it's cute. I wanted a more chunky look I guess and I should have ordered a larger size. Go for it if that is the look you're going for. It's well made like all the llbean products and it worked covering your head and ears.

If you would enjoy the warmest hat ever that also covers your ears, this is the hat for you and I now have two! Love it.

I bought this hat to wear with my LLB Ultralight Down Coat because the hood on that coat is much too large. The Ultrawarm Bomber Hat blocks the cold wind from blowing under my coat hood and keeps my ears and cheeks warm. It is a little large front to back and I had to shorten with a tuck at the crown.

This hat runs small, so you may need large when you normally wear a medium. Very warm!

I wanted a bomber hat for walking at the beach/ocean in Maine in winter. It's easy walking at low tide, but the wind goes right through all my hats and freezes my ears. This one has no rabbit fur from China, which is a priority for me, but it turns out not to be very warm. Fortunately I got the large, as recommended on here! It is a good fit on my very small head with thick hair, but I can also fit a regular L.L. Bean knit winter hat under it for warmth at the ocean. PERFECT! I'd recommend the large. Maybe in their next design they can make this one warmer, but this is good for now.

It was cute, but kind of snug for me. I don't have a large head, either. Also, compared to the men's version, it seemed to skimp on the insulation and the faux-fur. I exchanged it for a men's size Medium, which I am very happy with.

Like so many other customers the S/M was just a bit tight on me around the temples and I have a small head with thin hair. I also couldn't comfortably clasp the ear flaps on top of my head when they weren't in use or the hat would rise off my head. I managed to clasp the flaps down at the base of the back of my neck when not in use but that was rather uncomfortable. Using the chin strap was comfortable but I agree the clasp is a little tricky to work and a bit too small too. I tried it in 40-degree cold weather and it was fabulous and cozy so I'm exchanging it for the L/XL.

Very soft, cozy, and warm enough; but I have two disappointments. One, it's much more yellowish-cream than the winter-white I'd expected to go with my new jacket, so it looks almost dirty with it. Also, it fits more snugly than hoped, and I'm not very big. Fine for skiing, but I did measure and ordered up to avoid mashing my short hair when wearing to work on bitter or stormy days. Not sure yet if I'm keeping it.

I purchased this hat a year ago for skiing in the Rockies. It worked well. I just returned from ice skating in Canada. I managed to work up a sweat even thought the weather was zero F. The hat dried nicely at night on the radiator. Also even in the snow it always kept my head warm. I knocked off a star because the small size was big and I had to safety pin it to keep it out of my eyes. Got the matching gloves to complete the look.

I previously had this hat for a number of years but the clasp was no longer working. I ordered a new one but ordered the small/medium. It's too small even though I measured my head and looked at the chart. I will be exchanging for a size large.

The buckle is a little hard to work, but the hat is warm, does the job and looks cute. I use it without the buckle and with earmuffs underneath. You can do this if you buy the large size.

Chin strap not long enough. Buckle hard to open and close. Fingers not strong enough

Really warm for New England cold days. I gave it only 4 stars because I have problems with the latch. I find it hard to release.

I wore my new bomber hat to the barn to do chores and when I got back to the house I couldn't unsnap it. Finally had to pull it off over my head! I have arthritis in my hands and the snap is so tiny I couldn't unsnap it. I love the hat except for the tiny snap. I just took it to a seamstress and had the snap replaced with a larger one. Looking forward wearing it again. It's nice and warm!

Very comfy, snug, and cozy. Comes down perhaps a little too low over the eyes, but that may be because I deliberately ordered the large size.

I really love the color of this hat. It dresses up everything very nicely. The large size was a bit too big for my head, but I needed a warm hat NOW and didn't want to return it. I just put a stitch in the back to make it fit tighter, and that worked out just fine. The hat itself sure keeps my head and ears toasty warm. I haven't had any problems with the chin strap buckle, although it is small and requires some dexterity to clasp. But any larger, I think, and it would be uncomfortable. I am happy with this purchase.

The faux-fur in this bomber hat is extremely soft and is inside the entire hat, not just the ears. I have yet to try this out in winter weather, but the exterior appears as if it will repel snowflakes quite nicely. I have a very small head and the fit of the Small/Medium is as expected, based on the size chart. I did not rate a 5-star since it has not been worn in the cold yet, but will provide update when that happens.

This hat is warm, true to sizing, and water resistant. I bought another one, as a gift for my mother, because she liked mine so much. The closure, however, is difficult to open. The lightweight hat provides a lot of soft, cozy protection from the mountain air, where we walk.

Had a madbomber hat before; this hat lighter; still as warm; not very happy with clasp; feels flimsy; not sure it will hold up to our Buffalo winters--will see!

I bought this hat for my wife who came from the Philippines. She's always cold but with this hat and a nice warm LL Bean jacket, she is now comfortable going outside. Her comment is she feels like an astronaut when fully dressed. My thoughts are I'm glad she's well protected from the elements and this hat is a big help in protecting her from cold head and ears.
