Really big bigger than expected but looks good and high quality

Buying online was deceiving; so as a result the bag is a little too big and the handles are a little too long. I have adapted the handles and figured out how to use it. I'll probably buy another one slightly smaller when I have time.

The bags were roomy and had a solid zipper. But the monogram was way too small in relation to the size of the bag.

This tote helps me store packaged food items in my closets. It is small enough so that the bag is not too difficult to lift up; This is a well made item. Sometimes when it is new it can be tricky trying to get the top zipper to zip to the end, but once this is done the zipper works well. This is a protective bag, although it is not water resistant. It works well as storage for my closets in my apartment.

Well made large tote but the monogram did not turn out as I requested. I asked for GTG but got GGT. T is for my last name. I am not returning it since GGT are my initials, but for a monogram, I wanted GTG.

Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think here should be at minimum 1 compartment inside. This was the perfect size bag to use on our beach vacation with my husband and toddler - just wish it had 1 or 2 compartments to hold keys, wallet, etc.

Very sturdy. I bought it as a mom bag to hold all of our things (two toddlers and myself) . Just wish it had some sort of pockets inside to hold cups.

Nice sturdy bag. Zipper is a nice feature. I wish I could have purchased bag in my first color choice.

This bag is very heavy duty canvas and well made. I sent it back as it was too thick of a canvas for my use.

Happy with the dip top, although I think I could've ordered one size bigger. Construction is good and strong.

I bought one bag for my friend right before she left for her honeymoon. Her new last name is 10 letters long, it looked pretty good on the bag. I ordered one for myself and the scale was off. My last name is 9 letters long and the text looked small and smooshed together. Other than the monogram issue, the bag seems to be good quality. The zipper is smooth and the canvas is stiff, but I like that because it stands up and is sturdy. If I were to consider reordering, I would highly recommend spending the extra money on a zip top. You have the option to add more to the bag without having to worry about the contents spilling out.

Love the bags , would like them more if they were a little more economical.

I love my small and medium totes. I liked making/ choosing my own colors , handle length , zip top and outer pocket. I miss making my own. Please bring back the make your own tote! Thanks

Pros - Perfect Size, Variety of accent colors, durable material, extremely good quality Cons - No Pockets I would love an outside pocket to stash my car keys or an inside leash to clip my keys to. Also inside pocket with zipper closure would be great for small items like lip balm, a pen, hair tie, etc. But even without the pockets, I will be using this bag for decades I'm sure!

Durable and very functional size at a good price. My old Bean tote has a small outside pocket, which is really nice for a phone, keys, etc. Really miss that and wish they would add it back, as well as an inside pocket!

As expected. Ordering the monogram was difficult, but turned out well.

These are my regular standbys - have a collection that function as carryalls, hold all's and then some. Well made, great quality. Please bring back the "custom" canvas totes. While I love these bags my favorites are the ones I chose my own color combinations. They are not only functional but great to look at. Choosing only bottom, handle and (maybe) monogram color is not the same!

These totes are roomy & hold everything I need to take when visiting our grandkids, or even just going into town for groceries. They are extremely strong so I never worry about how much I stuff into them & they make great gifts. However, they would benefit by having a small key ring &/or pouch to corral a phone or keys in !! The zipper top is the best feature, esp when used as a carry on when traveling by air. I highly recommend spraying with a water proofing product before use to keep them looking their best. I missed that on my first one & it looks a bit travel weary.

The bag is heavier than expected due to the heavy duty canvas used and was extremely rigid. It is not flexible at all. It is really good quality but these two downsides make it hard for me to use as a daily bag.

I love these bags as baby gifts for people who travel to family or holidays. They pack a ton of small kids' clothing and even stuffed animals. They zip closed to keep everything in. HOWEVER, they need to come in more colors! I just gave them as a gift for twin girls and had to get green and blue (didn't want to get one girl red and the other green or blue). Would love them, say, in orange, turquoise, lavender, yellow, lime green. Come on, LL Bean, update your colors!!

As I have purchased several of the Bean Boat Totes, I absolutely love the durability of the totes . . . In fact, I have recommended them to a few friends. Because we are members of various organizations and programs, I use the Bean Totes as my means of organization - I use the colored handles as my color coding & keep pertinent materials, binders, etc in that tote which allows for grab & go! All that being said, my last tote was purchased for a friend/teacher. I was disappointed in the monogram - the font didn't appear as was shown on the screen when I was placing the order and instead it was a bolder font making one of her initials run together.

It's a bag. Sturdy. Cloth. A tad overpriced, but that's the cost of getting it out of a catalog. Too heavy for shopping, and wouldn't want to expose something this expensive to all that dirt,wear and tear anyway. Good for odds and ends on a car trip,or for taking things to and from a boat.
