Everything for the beach fits perfectly in the bag, including beach towels. no need to carry any additional bags with us.

I bought monogrammed Boat & Tote bags for my nieces at Christmas, and a sale prompted me to buy another one for myself! This time I ordered the zippered version, but either way, they are so convenient and much heavier than the run-of-the-mill tote you get at other places. My only regret is that I chose a different blue for the monogram other than the shade suggested, and probably should have gone with Bean's recommendation. Lesson: Trust L.L. Bean, not your monitor.

Great graduation gift with initials embroidered on front. Will be helpful carrying belongings back and forth to college. Only like the totes that are made in Maine.....that is what LLBean is all about!

The zipper keeps everything safe from rain - all around, a great tote bag. I use it to replace my backpack. The medium size is roomy enough to hold a lot of books comfortably.

Purchased 7 bags for my daughters bridesmaids, monogrammed with their initials. The customer service (I had a lot of questions) and the bags were both A+. They were delivered very quickly. It's a bag. It happens to be an excellent tote bag, with a zippered top. It is well constructed of premium material. I purchased these totes to use as liner bags to place in the hard side cases on a motorcycle. They keep my gear organized, easy to access and I can pull everything out when I arrive at my destination. These totes work.

I would definitely recommend this product. I am a retired teacher and I was given a tote similar to this one as a present at school. At that time, I used it to carry my school work back and forth from home to school and vice versa. It is very sturdy and handsome. We recently added a new addition to our family... an Airedale fur baby! I bought this for him and put his name on the front. I use it to carry all his "stuff" when he boards or goes to puppy class. It is large enough to carry everything I need. Again, it is a great tote for whatever your needs are! It would be great at the beach or for traveling. I would buy it again if this one ever wears out! The one I had for school lasted forever.

Continuing our family tradition, my dear grandson received his first L.L. Bean bag on Easter - it was his Easter basket! It will get lots of use, especially during summers at the beach in Maine. I got the zipper bag so he (and his mother) will have the option to close it securely. We expect it to last for years like all of the other Bean bags in our family. Great product.

Bought two for out of town guest speakers and had them monogramed. They were a great hit. The bag is durable, has plenty of room, and I really like that it zips.

We have the medium size zip-top and use it when on vacation to carry my laptop and other stuff we don't want in check luggage, but it had the shorter handle. We got the longer handle bag this time and love it. Better for going from gate to gate in the airports and easier to keep control of.

I bought the tote bag for my godchildren in England, specifically for their new little daughter. They could not have been more pleased with my gift. I made a mistake with the monogram, which I realized quickly and called LLBean to make the change. They said that my order was already being processed, yet agreed without hesitation, to send me the corrected one, crediting me for the first. I was amazed!! I carried the bag to England as a "carry-on" - the tote works wonderfully for that purpose - I recommend it to any traveler....

I love this bag! It's sturdy, easy to carry and I chose the zip top and longer handles which are great. I took it for the first time to the beach and was able to fit, 3 beach towels, 2 changes of clothes, sunscreens, incidentals, food for the day and there was still room! I never felt like the handles would rip or the zipper would catch. For the beach, it's wonderful. I originally made this purchase thinking I'd use it to carry my laptop computer and folders but it's too big for that, so I plan to get the smaller size in addition. I would highly recommend LL Bean products. This is the 3rd item I've purchased online and they do not disappoint.

This tote is the perfect size for me. It is very well constructed and looks great. I love that the top zips closed for a bit more security. Great value Product arrived promptly and in perfect condition.

I love this bag! I recently took it on a cruise with my husband and two young boys. I used it as a carry on bag on the airplane and a beach bag on the islands. I was really debating on getting the large vs XL. I'm glad I got the large though. The XL would have been to big for my family size. If I had three children I would go with the XL. The large was big enough for what I needed but didn't have much extra room.

I am very pleased with the zip top canvas boat tote bag. It is all that imagined & so versatile. It's always recognized as a LL BEAN BAG.. Love it

These bags are fabulous! I've used them for years and they are the most durable bags for travel or home use. They make wonderful gifts as well, and the monogramming adds that personal touch!

I love these bags. I ordered a matching set (s/m/l) 10 years ago when my daughter was born. At the time they were customizable- meaning I could pick the canvas color, the strap color and the pocket canvas color. We have used them as diaper bags, skate and ski bags, weekend bags, purses. You name it. They are durable, washable, and sturdy. I wish the customizable option were still available- my daughter's dancing now and needs a ballet bag! I'm thinking black and pink!

I have always wondered if these bags were THAT good,and I am here to say YES YES YES!I have used this bag daily since I received it.I am a sub.teacher and it is a great bag to fit your supplies in.I carry my laptop, travel mugs, several books, extra pencils,paper etc. It is so roomy.It is made of a strong canvas and straps/zipper are strong too.You have choice of strap lengths(I got longer ones so I can carry over shoulder comfortably)and you can choose open or zip top (Mine has zip). It stands up by itself and doesn't flop over due to the strong canvas.It is not "stiff" and is very pliable. I am going to order more soon to help organize my home vs. work "stuff" I figure I can easily find which bag I need by the color handle. Would be great bag in car for emergency supplies. A great tack bag for animal supplies/feed/bowls. It is very strong!! If you are thinking about these bags-go for it. Well worth the money-will last a long, long time. I have a suggestion for LL Bean designers-it would be great if it had a pocket on front to hold keys,phone,glasses etc. Made in Maine!!! Gotta love that!
