I've debated about purchasing this bag for a long time. On a recent trip I ran out of suitcase room for gifts that I had picked up - good thing there happened to be an LL Bean store across the street from my hotel! I ran in and purchased the tote with a zipper and couldn't be happier! I wish I would have bought it years ago when I first started eyeing them - worth every penny and the quality is second to none. This bag will last forever!

I have been using these bags for years. Durable, discrete solution for high end camera gear. Fit well in overhead bins. And they're made in Maine.

My daughter misplaced her bag during a move and asked for another for Christmas. She uses her bag for overnight trips, beach bag and storage for out of season clothes. Bags are so useful and durable.

Study canvas bag, great for any job you may have. I use it mostly for traveling, you can get loads of stuff in it. I got the monogram as well.

This bag is great. I have had the small zip tote for years and love it but it was time for an upgrade. This bag is perfect for quick trips with my husband and dog. Definitely recommend.

I live in NYC where there is a law that you have to carry your dog in a bag on the subway. My dog is too big and heavy to fit in any pet carrier available on the market. I've seen dog owners on the subway using flimsy ikea tote bags for large dogs but this LL Bean tote is XL and super durable! My Golden Doodle Pepper loves riding in it.

We received a toter from a good friend upon birth of our son in 2003 (LLBean Boat and Tote, Zip-Top). We have utilized this bag to haul kids stuff, dog stuff over the past 15 years! LOVE IT. So, it made sense to me to get this gift for friends I have who have given birth recently. Functional, stylish and never goes a week without being used.

I got the small bag to use for my knitting and for a larger purse. As w/ALL the other LLB bags that ARE Made in USA, this is the SAME GREAT BAG! I had my name put on it and it makes for a nicer touch! My only complaint is the zipper! You CAN'T push it all the way to the end or else you will be trying to grab it out! I try to keep it part way out of the very end to keep from needing to push it to get it out. Other then that, this is a GREAT BAG! I LOVE the smaller one for little stuff and using it as a Big purse! These are VERY WELL made w/a HEAVY canvas! You CAN'T beat them! They are basically indestructible! And will hold for years on end. I think my larger one is over 10 yr. now and looks as good as new!

I've always wanted one of these bags and I finally got one! The bag is VERY durable, and will last a very long time. I had monogramming done and it was misspelled, but LLbean quickly made it right! Thank you!

Great bag! I bought this to carry to all of my 17-year-old twins, football, track, and other sports events. It fits everything and more. Slightly bigger than I expected but there's nothing wrong with that.

I have given this item several times as a baby gift embroidered with the childs name. It is better & stronger than any diaper bag and can potentially last until college. Parents love it.

I live these tote bags. I have several that we use for all of our traveling. They are perfect for water days on the jet skis and when we travel in the RV. Durable and so roomy.

I have been shopping LLBean products for 40 years and have had several of these totes. They are incredibly durable, and with the zippered top and long handles, they're better than ever.

This bag is ENORMOUS. I was looking for a bag to toss stuff in for travel that zipped, and since my mom has had her LL Bean tote for 20+ years, I knew that it would hold up forever and withstand being tossed around. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize how huge this bag would be. It's about the size of carry on luggage. I got it monogrammed, which looks great, and the regatta blue color is really pretty, but I'm going to have to order a smaller one now to meet my actual needs. It's fine, though, I guess I'll find a use for it!

I needed a big bag to bring on day trips in the summer for our 3 person family. This is a roomy bag, room for towels and changes of clothes, life vests, snacks etc. I am SO glad I got the longer handles, now we dont have to bring 4 bags everytime we go someplace!

This bag is the best.It is extremely durable and tough, yet stylish.I have used this bag to travel,weekend trips,days at the beach and move heavy loads as well as just groceries.The canvas is very stiff at first,but it does soften with time.I believe the stiffness does also add to its incredible durability.The large is LARGE.Its great for traveling.I have two,one with the zipper and one without.The zipper is best when traveling.You can not go wrong with these bags!It is a must to at least own one.You will not be disappointed.Love my L.L.Bean boat and tote bags!

I had to have this XL bag with the zip top after seeing my niece and nephew's bags and how much it would hold! The zip top is a must with the long handles- it's easy to transport and sturdy, as well as easy to dig through. We traveled for a week trip and the XL was big enough for every clothing/shoe/diaper/toiletries item needed for my toddler. So convenient to have it all in one place! Love the initials on it as well. We have multiple LL Bean Totes but none in this size and it's a must!

I am in LOVE with my pink large boat and tote bag with zip top. I used it on a recent trip going from Nantucket to Maine and received many compliments. The color is very cute! It is very durable and I was able fit all my clothing, shoes, and essentials needed for my trip and the zip top was great to make sure everything was secure. I would HIGHLY recommend this bag. I would love to purchase the xlarge bag but none of the colors are appealing. Need more color choices for the xlarge bags LLbean!!

Bought this bag for a new baby, and had her name monogrammed on it. This is something her parents will use for the beach, diapers, blankets, whatever. As the years go on, this bag will stay strong and will even get better and softer. As this baby grows up, she will be able to use it for sleepovers, moving to college, and then bringing baby gear to the beach for her own baby. Best bag for life. Personally I have two of these, and I use them constantly. It's the zipper and the long handles that are key. You can pull the zipper insert up, and create even more space in the bag.

Love love love this tote. Durable and strong it's become a new favorite to haul whatever I need. Lately it's been summer items, swimsuits and towels, as well as all my gym gear when I went on vacation in Maine. The zip top for me is crucial so I can stow it without worrying about anything falling out. The zipper is a little tough to get started, but otherwise it's super strong. I also love the monogram!! So cute. The only thing I would change would be to get the tote with the long handles instead of the regular. It would be easier to throw it over my shoulder. That just means I need to get another!

I bought this as part of a new baby shower gift and the mom loved it! It was monogrammed with the baby's name. It will be used to carry all the necessary baby stuff that won't fit in a diaper bag. This bag will last until the child goes to college and beyond.

These canvas bags are amazing. I used my last one daily for over 16 years! It held up well through the years. The only reason I replaced it was that I could no longer get it cleaned. I use varied sizes for a variety of things. I use the small long handled one for bath items to take to the shower house when camping, another as a purse! Work supplies daily in the larger bag, and carry my heavy gear to the shooting range in another. They also make great reusable shopping bags. These bags last and take a beating! I love them!
