About 15 years ago I bought a small size LL Bean tote with zippered top and long handles, which I used for my bag in the Summer - had it monogrammed too. Several years after I bought it, I got married - but the tote was still fine and sturdy so I kept using it with the old monogram. But after almost 10 years of marriage and taking it on 2 trips to Europe, I realized it was high time to acknowledge my new name. So if I weren't so proud of my new name, and in love with my husband, I wouldn't have ordered a new one- but glad I did! And yes, I'm keeping the old one.

I love the bag with zipper closure. I plan to order several more. Highly recommend. I got this one for a bingo bag with zipper so nothing will spill. the color is gold and such a eye catcher.

I do not own a boat. I have not been in a boat in years. But the LL Bean boat tote bags are a necessity at our house. Currently I'm using four of them to help a friend move (a local move). The bags hold a lot, stand upright for filling, and allow one to gauge the weight easily for whomever will be toting the bag. The zippered top secures items and also affords privacy (say, on the elevator, fellow passengers can only guess at the contents). We keep a few of the bags in the cars so they are perfect for bringing groceries into the house in a single load - and the allow us to eliminate plastic bags from our life. Handsome, endlessly useful and very affordable, LL Bean boat totes are also handy inside - keep one at the top or bottom of the stairs and gradually fill it with items that need to go upstairs or down: it's infinitely easy to carry things between floors. Ours have been used to carry practically everything from firewood to library books, and we've even thought that in an emergency such as a fire, we'd put our dachshund in the tote and head for safety. LL Bean totes are about as environmentally friendly and dependable as a product can be. Don't buy just one.

this is a great bag ! I use for the beach for towels and stuff but can be used for anything. Very well made.

I have these in every conceivable size. Even the teeny tiny one. But both my rescue cats: Spike (long fat kitty) and Roxy (not so fat kitty) like the xlarge one to jump inside, play, hide and rest. In fact, when they were kittens I took them to the vet in a smaller boat and tote with a zipper (unzipped.) I have given these as gifts. These are the most versatile item known to man and you can't destroy them. Great for your can trunk to store items. They maintain their shape. Made for abuse. Best of all: Made in the USA. LL Bean please make one with multiple slots and a zipper.

Yes, the title is my thank-you to Charlene who handcrafted the bag. I have destroyed far too many tote bags to count... but this bag? It has already hauled loads far heavier than any of the previous bags were able. Thank you LLBean and thank you Charlene! Built like a tank it is.

These bags are the absolute best. I have had one for years, and use it all the time. I decided to purchase a second one. These bags are truly good bags. They hold a lot, and hold heavy items too. They are "tough". If you need a reusable, sturdy bag that will last through time and use, this is the bag. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reusable bag instead of throwing away plastic bags.

This XL tote is the perfect size for lugging everything my family of 5 needs, whether it's to the beach/pool, tailgating, kid's games, overnight stay, or just a day out and about. Soooo happy I ordered ours with the longer arm straps, makes it much easier to carry after I've packed it full of our stuff!! Tote is also very durable and water-resistant. I fully expect to get years of wear and tear out of it.

Bought the boat and tote before a trip out of town. Even with the monogramming, I had it in 4 days from my order. Quality is the usual LL Bean quality, which is just amazing. I love it. This is the 4th one of this bag I bought. All are XL. 2 have the long handles, and 2 have the short handles. All are monogrammed differently and different colors to keep it fun. This bag holds EVERYTHING I need it to. :)

Another perfect LL Bean Bag. I use it for the beach, grocery shopping, weekend trips, as a diaper bag, basically anything I need - - this bag is my go to. I have three now and they are all still perfect!

I loved sending this beautiful bag as my go to baby gift for folks who live out of state! One major big turn off is that you haven't been removing the price tags! It feels icky when you get a picture from your friend and seeing the price tag! A little more attention to detail would be appreciated.

I needed a small bag for my Crocheting needs to use while in Waiting Rooms, small trips etc. This is perfect...I have Zipped one. Would be nice to have a pocket on inside or outside!! This is one of several totes that I have enjoyed over the years!!!

The large tote is a perfect size for pool and beach days. I love the zipper top. The zipper part expands so you can fill the tote to the brim!

I loved the "made by" tags included in each bag, it felt so personal. I filled the bags for my sister and niece with Easter presents - the prettiest, most functional Easter basket I've ever put together! They absolutely loved their personalized bags and we can't wait to take them on our next girls trip.
