I work from home, but every other week I go into the office. This bag (medium, zip-top with regular handles) is the perfect size for my laptop, headphones, and all of the various cables. I'm also a knitter, and found that this same bag is the perfect size for carrying my current project. After switching the computer/accessories and knitting/accessories in and out of the same bag a few times, I decided to purchase second Boat and Tote. Now, red=work, green=knitting. These are great, sturdy bags that are made to last forever, the color/embroidery is beautiful on both, and the monogram is free with an LLBean card. Highly recommended.

Like all LLBean products, this tote is very well made and durable. I bought the medium zip top and whether I use it for groceries, books and lap top, or when I go to aqua therapy it is perfect!

My wife saw my zippered Tote and said she would love one. Got the same style Tote but in a different color and monogrammed for her birthday. She loves it.

Made very strong! My go to bag for just about everything! I used to carry a large pocketbook, now I have my bean bag and it holds not only my pocketbook, but everything else that I wouldn't put in a pocket book. I have different sizes that I use for what I am doing that day. They are great gifts for that hard to find present for someone who has everything! You can not go wrong with a Bean Bag!!

This is my second boat bag with zip-top. It is rugged and durable. I use it when traveling for short stays. Easy to carry on and stow on a plane. I highly recommend it.

This bag turned out to be the perfect gift. I gave the extra large tote as a gift to my daughter while she was visiting. I also had the tote monogrammed with her initials. She absolutely loved it. She was able to back all of her carry on stuff, including her computer, and clothes and shoes in the tote, and there was room leftover. I recommend this bag if you have a traveler in your family or friends. They will love it.

Bought this bag to carry my puppy on the subway. Perhaps not its intended purpose, but it fits him perfectly and he loves it!

I love my bag! It goes everywhere with me. I even use it as a purse when I go out with the ladies because everything can fit in it. I got the Medium and it is a perfect size for what I wanted it for. The color is so brilliant blue that I love it! It is very well made. This is the 4th bag I have purchased in this line and I will be purchasing many more. They are great for gifts which I have given because they hold so much weight and last longer than any shopping bag out there. Well worth the price! You get what you pay for.

The Boat and Tote bag is of the highest quality and fully met my expectations. I love the zipper close and durability of the fabric. My only suggestion is to include, on the inside of the bag, a zippered pocket for such things as pencils, pens and glasses to keep them separate and not fall to the bottom of the bag.

These bags are roomy, sturdy, and super cute. The XL has enough room for me to pack for a week away. Love these bags.

Love these totes, but white is only good for the boat or beach. Please bring back colours, my favourite is black on black

I do not know how long I have had my three totes. People do not realize this, but you can wash them. You have to be a weight lifter to turn them inside out though. My handles were all frayed and all my friends were starting to LL Bean tote shame me in a funny way. I decided to surprise everyone and bought 2 new ones that zippered. Everyone was shocked! What I didn't tell anyone was I kept my old ones for tools, gardening.........you just cannot throw them away when the totes get old. By that time the totes have been too many places with you almost like having cats and dogs.

Always purchase a tote for a family or friend newborn. Appreciated and used by all those gifted a tote.

Quality material and craftsmanship, strong stitching, love the zipper top

There isn't anything much stronger for carrying things than the llbean bag. With the name of a new baby, they are loved by new parents and I can attest that they travel well, even when checked in at the airport. Eventually they can be used for groceries, but meanwhile one holds a weeks worth of clothes for a wee one, or toys and books for an older one.

I use it as a carry all for workouts.

I ordered two zippered extra-large and long. It is just the perfect size for loading clothing for vacation time into our rn travel trailer. I am so happy I made the plunge and bought it.

With the small size restrictions of carry-on bags on flights, I searched LLBean for a nice looking bag. If not stuffed tightly full, this bag can fit under the seat on any plane. I definitely wanted a zip top to prevent items from rolling out. The long handles make the bag easy to carry over my shoulder. I won't pack the bag too heavy as the handles are not padded.

Babies generate tons of "stuff" so I love to give this with the baby's name or initials. They last forever so won't be outgrown.

There is nothing like an L.L.Bean tote bag - well-designed, sturdy, and US - made. There are many cheap copies out there. Don't fall for them

About 15 years ago I bought a small size LL Bean tote with zippered top and long handles, which I used for my bag in the Summer - had it monogrammed too. Several years after I bought it, I got married - but the tote was still fine and sturdy so I kept using it with the old monogram. But after almost 10 years of marriage and taking it on 2 trips to Europe, I realized it was high time to acknowledge my new name. So if I weren't so proud of my new name, and in love with my husband, I wouldn't have ordered a new one- but glad I did! And yes, I'm keeping the old one.
