My whole family uses this bag. I've had mine for 6+ years and it is still in great condition. I recently got one for my dog and it is perfect for all of her travels. We use it for everything. Definitely worth the purchase!

I purchased a boat and tote 15-years-ago, which we still use to this day. I recently purchased another one, and was happy to see they are the same high quality.

Great tote to store items. Easy to travel with. I have used it for vacation with clothes, as a beach bag, and grocery bag. Excellent quality! Highly recommend.

This was the only canvas tote I found that worked to carry my 15 pound weighted blanket from room to room as needed. Stays open, perfect size, nice looking.

I bought this bag for a college bound graduate, handles and monogram in his selected college colors. He was thrilled. But moreso because I had bought his older brother the same bag in his college colors. Older brother assured younger brother that he'd enjoy his bag very much. It transports dirty laundry from dorm to home very well!

I bought this tote for my daughter who wanted a bag large enough for the whole family's beach towels and other needs. This is perfect! When not used for that, my grandson loves to hide in it!

We bought this tote for a heavy, valuable piece of electronics that we transport frequently- the protective box is way too cumbersome. It stands up wherever we put it, the handles stay upright too, ready to grab and go. The tough canvas is perfect protection & now all the support cables are collected in one neat package. Ideal for our purpose!

I was very impressed with the quality of my boat & tote. Mine was handcrafted in Brunswick, Maine by Marilyn. She did a fantastic job!

Bought 5 of them to make our move from one city to another. Along with wardrobe boxes and a few medium ones we were able to move our goods from a 1600 square foot home. Had no idea when I bought them what a muscle, sweat, and time saver these would be. A life long user and appreciator of boat totes Use them daily to tote things from car to house etc. I have physical challenges that make these boat totes SO necessary to manage every day tasks. Thank you L L Bean for bringing such a great and sturdy product all those years ago.

Boat and Tote Medium is more than large enough to accommodate daily inventory of STUFF. Material is sturdy and flawless - wears like iron yet surprisingly soft to the touch. Washable so nothing icky builds up in the bottom of the bag. Strap is perfect length - not too long and not too short - still room for STUFF to stick out of the top. Great product!!!

The picture shows one Boat and Tote 35+ years old, one new one. Guess which is which?! The older one has served as diaper bag, picnic sack, traveling bag, utility bag, and most recently grocery bag, and still comfortably holds more than any other bag we've used. My husband wanted another for overflow, because no other reusable bag we've tried has the ease of packing and carrying capacity of this one.

I now own 3 of these totes, they work so well for me. They are perfect for carrying gear for each of my dogs for dog training classes, and the other one I have used to tote everything from physical therapy equipment to a picnic lunch. Love how they are sturdy and stand upright. Great size.

Still the same great bag I bought 40 years ago. Tough, roomy and capable of a day at the beach or travel cross country.

Get bags I bought one in each size because I know the quality is excellent I had one for work that I used for 32 years held up excellent..now retired & moving so I'm using these first off for clothing after getting settled they will be use for trips, picnics & bags for grocery's etc..quality is still excellent I highly recommend these bags..

I've used it a lot already. Also ordered the larger size for when I have more stuff to haul here and there. I like that it stands upright so it easy to fill and easy to find what's in it.

This tote is my "go to" new baby gift. I always order a medium tote with long handles and a monogram of the baby's name. Every new Mom loves it! My only issue is there are few to none matching colors for the handle and monogram. I went with the customer recommendation of Reef Coral handle and Persimmon monogram. They are almost identical. Overall a great purchase due to great customer service advice.

I think I'm the last person from New England to get one of these bags. So glad I finally did! It holds all the kids' beach stuff easily. I also use it when I go grocery shopping. I've managed to fit nearly an entire week's groceries in this, together with the insulated tote (large). Much better than regular reusable shopping bags!

This is my go to gift for parents with a new baby. Babies have a lot of gear and this bag is so big and so durable, they'll still be using it when their baby goes off to college! And, monogrammed makes it even more special. We got one 27 years ago for our baby, and she is still using it, to go away for the weekend or to the beach, etc. I can't say enough good things about this bag, I highly recommend it.
