I've lost count of the number of canvas totes I've purchased over the years. These monogrammed totes have been a welcomed gift for many different occasions and ages of recipients. Never disappointed!

These are excellent long lasting totes. They go traveling and to the grocery store with me. I don't think I have ever worn one out.

The Boat and Tote series have always been sturdy and useful for many chores -- including grocery shopping. I wish they came in natural (straps without a contrasting color) like they used to.

The ultimate in carry all. I use mine for taking my lunch to work plus there is extra space for fruit, water bottle, cell phone, documents, magazine, etc. LLBean durable and comes in a variety of colors. The long straps come in handy for winter time when wearing coats or layers. Custom colors was a plus but for some reason they have discontinued that option. Still a really nice gift that will last a long time.

I ordered 2 of the small totes for my granddaughters. They each got their favorite color and their name monogrammed on them. They are going to keep their dolls clothes in them. Hopefully, this will avoid some missing doll outfits, and they can keep better track of their own doll clothes.

This is an awesome, well constructed tote. It's being used for camping, boating and day trips up and down the Mississippi River. I bought the large. The perfect size for anything.

Same ol', same ol'. That's a good thing. We've bought many of these bags over the past 2 decades. Gave a couple away when someone needed one, and wore one out after many years and washings. My only problem with the most recent purchase is that I specifically ordered an initial on the bag, but apparently that didn't make it through the order blank, after working on it to get it perfect. Just be wary if you order a bag with initial(s).

I purchased my first Boat Tote and I am in love!!! I ordered the Large and it's huge!! Fits everything I need with so much room to spare. I wonder just how big the X-Large is haha. I have my eye on ordering a medium as well. They're beautifully crafted, obviously built to last and they seem to be fairly stain resistant. Truly a classic tote!!

Love this bag. Huge and resilient and so useful! Got one and a gift this year, and it's big enough to tote my corgi ;-)

These totes are the perfect size to fill with pj's, books, movies, candy and toothbrush for an overnight with the grandparents!! I bought 8 for my grandchildren and did just that! Great Christmas gift for the kids and for me!!

I have all the LL Bean totes I'll ever need so I now give them as Christmas gifts with monograms. Everyone loves them and since they last forever, I get thanks for years to come.

Purchased for a very special little granddaughter because she saw her Moms and wanted one just like it. She will be very excited when she opens it Christmas morning. I've purchased many LL Bean tote/boat bags and they are always a big hit. I expect nothing different this time. Thank you LL Bean

My old boat tote bag was starting to wear out after 14 years I need a new one thought I had ordered monogramming but I must not have so I had to take it to get monogrammed still wouldn't buy anything but LLBean

I purchased tote bag that I could have personalized for my Aunt for her birthday. She called me to thank me for it and absolutely loved it especially having her name on it. It's so versatile and can be used so many different ways especially since they are now charging extra money in the supermarket for plastic bags. Would recommend it as a gift!

I have been using these totes for years and they are fantastic. Super rugged (will last a lifetime) and they make planning any outing a breeze. Highly recommend.

I received a monogrammed tote bag for my daughter as a baby gift, and it's still in use 16 years later. So, now this is what I give to all new babies! No, it doesn't work as well as a diaper bag, but later, it works for hauling all the other child-related, odd shaped paraphernalia for entertaining them or sports gear! The gift that's permanently useful! (I use first name instead of initials.)

I use this bag for carrying my surf fishing tackle. I hang it on my rod holding spike. Easy access and tough for the beach environment summer and winter. For its size it holds a lot of gear.

I love this bag so much! I am using it as my everyday purse and it's the perfect size. I had wished the small was available in-store so I could compare it to the medium, but I just went for it and ordered it. Super thick, quality canvas!

I just LOVE this tote. I have purchased 2 for myself and 3 to give as gifts! Since I have the LL Bean MasterCard, the Monograming/Name embroidery is free! I use mine to take my laundry down to the family room where we have our washer and dryer. I then use it to take the folded clean clothes back upstairs again. We have small closets, and store our seasonal clothing in the basement. I use it to carry clothes up and clothes down. It is a work horse! I purchased one for a friend who went to the shore every weekend--she stopped carrying a suitcase! I purchased 2 for my cousin and her husband who purchased a second home at the shore as their house warming gifts. They loved their Boat & Tote. Again, I just love this tote!!!

I've admired these classic tote bags for many years due to the quintessential New England style and reports from friends and shoppers of its amazing durability. This was my first purchase and I have to say, they were right! I love it so much that I just ordered three more in various sizes (2 large, 1 medium). This tote is virtually indestructible! It's sturdy and very well made. It holds far more weight than I can carry with absolutely no stress on the stitching and it's versatile too! We've used it for road trips, afternoons at the beach and as an overnight bag. Don't be intimidated by the price... these totes are worth every penny considering they will last for decades! Being able to choose the color and add names or monograms is an added bonus. The style never fails to draw positive attention from other shoppers. If you're looking for top quality, durability and iconic style, search no further - this is your bag. It's the best tote bag I've ever owned and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely the best quality materials and workmanship! Great size for my needs - can carry much weight because of the stength and quality of the materials and stitching. Long straps give the option to hand or shoulder carry without worry of it falling apart or disintigrating. This is my second bag, because I gifted my first after years of use to someone that I thought could continue to make good use of it. This is great for food shopping and not having to use plastic or paper bags.

I've given more of these canvas bags as gifts than I care to remember. Usually monogrammed, and almost always size M with the long handles which I think is the perfect size for work, school, a quick trip to the grocery store, etc. If you're new to L.L. Bean Boat & Totes, I want you to know that while that price point might seem steep for a simple canvas bag, the material is THICK and very sturdy and the handles soften over time as it adjusts the way you carry it. I prefer the open-top myself, but anyone who desires extra security should opt for the zippered version. Also, I've never had any complaints with monograms as they've always turned out wonderfully which is a huge relief!
