While I LOVE these totes, I don't love the white. I have several that were custom-ordered. PLEASE bring back the custom totes!

Got the XL open-top as a "sleep-over" bag for our pup! It holds his kennel (when it's folded down), bed, food, toys etc., with plenty of room to spare. Was looking for something tough that can handle the wear and tear and this definitely fits the bill! Thanks LLBean!

These totes never wear out. Have 5 of them and use them for shopping and packing little stuff for camping.

I have several LL Bean totes in all sizes and use them for everything! This year I bought them personalized for my four granddaughters. They love them - perfect to use for the beach, for overnights & for carrying their toys. Yet another generation getting hooked on Beans!

Boat and Tote Open-top is remarkably well designed, highly functional and appears to be durable such that it should reasonably be expected to last for many years. If you want to pay 10X more to get fancy logos and snooty sales people go elsewhere. LL Bean continues to offer great value!

I bought this bag to replace one I'd had at least 25 years. I don't think I'll live long enough to order another one as they last and last. I use it for our mail bag and it's perfect for going to the P.O.

I give these as a gift to celebrate the arrival of a new baby and have the babies name monogrammed on the bag. I have probably ordered 20 now as gifts and the new mom's love them! Each of my kids have them as well. They are well made and we use them all the time. LL Bean products are wonderful!

I like taking a library of books on my RV trips. Previous bags could not handle the weight of the books and magazines. LL Bean's tote is quality and the perfect size for my RV library. I love the being able to have our name embroidered on the bag. Agree with previous reviewers that it would be nice to pick different color combinations, but this tote is first rate!

Wanted a beach tote to carry large beach towels and misc items. Was not disappointed! Can easily carry 4 large towels and other items. Sturdy construction and Monogram a plus

When we go to the beach, we bring way too many things. That's number one. We want to be certain that if we're spending a good chunk of time there, we haven't forgotten the comfortable critical items. We also have huge beach towels. That is number two. The beach we like to go to is at the bottom of a steep hill. That is number three. In the past, we needed to use multiple bags to carry everything and navigating that big hill at the end of the day was hard with many bags and one day the old "best" beach bag broke. This huge L.L Bean bag lets us bring all of the snacks, drinks, SOF necessities and towels we need to make the day relaxing. It is very strong and well-made so I'm certain it will be our best beach bag for years to come!

I ordered one long and one regular handled medium tote bags. One I'm using as a book bag (regular handled) and one as an overnight bag (long handles so I could throw it over my shoulder while carrying multiple things to and from the car). They are very well made with good quality, stiff canvas. They sit squarely on the floor. One was stolen out of my car and it was worth replacing! Bought the replacement and also the pencil case and small toiletry bag. Love these bags.

LL Bean totes are incredibly durable. I was gifted one as a teenager over 20 years ago and recently purchased one for my daughter that I expect her to use for 20+ years. They can be used in so many ways. We love our bags!

Very well constructed, with quality materials. However, having ordered it to hold my art supplies, it was not deep enough for all supplies including my sketch book of 12" x 16" and the drawing board of 18" x 22." I now use a Large Bean Boat and Tote that my wife had and was using for groceries. Thank you.

Absolutely love this open top tote. Perfect size for my everyday doing errands purse. The light color makes it easy to find things with plenty of space for all my essentials and anything else. Great addition to all my larger totes. Love these boat and totes!

Bought our first boat and totte bag in 1983, and over the years have added one in every size, both zippered and open. They are used EVERY weekend to haul stuff to our boats. LOTS of stuff; heavy stuff! Over stuffing , cram more in stuff! They've been on vacation, to the beach and sand and water, to the horse barn, used for everything from groceries to a diaper bag to really heavy tools to book club to international mission trip supplies to dog food to a complete Birthday party in a bag. From baby showers to graduations to wedding rehearsal dinner decorations to a bag of surprises the new grand baby . (Obviously not the same bag at the same time! Ha!) These have been daily staples in our family for 40 years ,,, yes, the SAME bag! And the very first bag purchased is still used weekly and good as the day we bought it! A bit dirtier but strong, seams tight and just like new! No kidding! Really! Quality lasts! I give these bags as wedding gifts- they will last a lifetime though every stage!

bigger doesn't mean better, so the small size tote is good for grocery shopping, laundry, gym stuff, etc.

Absolutely love my bag. The color is amazing and so durable. I have ordered this type of bag in the past over 10 years ago! That is how long they last. The free monogramming made the bag personal and I love it!

First time to purchase from LL Bean and I am all the way from the Philippines. I am so happy with this tote and it so sturdy and can fit my laptop and other stuff. It is really a pack and go bag. I had my tote personalized as well and I am looking forward for purchasing the long handle next.
