Runs a little small and is likely good for 40 degree weather over a tee shirt.

Decent but not as warm or wind resistant as I hoped for but with a sweater or fleece underneath it works.

I returned this soft shell because it was a poor fit for me. I am tall and thin (6'2"/150lb) and Bean M Tall tops usually fit me well but this hoodie has a very odd fit. It was very tight across the shoulders while still a little too wide at the waist. L or L Tall would have been way too wide at the midsection so I returned the garment for a refund instead of a size exchange. I also didn't like how high the side pockets are placed. These design flaws are unfortunate because I liked the material and construction. Bean seems to cut their garments for people more on the chubby side!

slim fit nonsense, had to order extra large instead of my usual LLB classic regular fit large .. not warm, let's the cold thru easily .. needs a two way zipper due to longer body length .. just okay but not worth keeping for the $$ ..

Don't put fleece in the sleeves! It makes this coat hard to put on unless you have bare arms, especially since the sleeves are already cut rather skinny. I think it's a nicely made coat with one big flaw.

I always liked this jacket but wore it in the rain and it wasn't water resistant. Very disappointing.

While the seams and overall construction of this coat is good, the fabric and capabilities fell far short of expectations. I found the fleece lining so thin that it appears to be more of a sales point that adding functional warmth. The outer shell fabric was also a disappointment as far as wind blocking capabilities. I was outside for an hour on a breezy sunny day with temps in the mid 40s. Since I had noticed how thin the fleece layer was, I took the precaution of wearing a fleece jacket underneath to add sufficient warmth. It was not sufficient. The wind seems to penetrate the jacket and while sitting in the shade, the side exposed to the wind got very cold and drove me back out standing in the sun with a different orientation to try and stay warm. Additionally, even while employing the drawstring on the bottom, because the pockets only have an inside mesh lining, my fingers were getting very cold in the pockets as I could feel the breeze blowing on my fingers from the inside. I have not tested the ability of it's water repellent capabilities yet and I'm rather disinclined to try unless I had a replacement jacket handy in case it performed as badly as the wind repellent functionality did. Perhaps my expectations of a "shell" are too high but this coat is a huge disappointment. Remember, the temp was in the mid 40s. If that overpowers this jacket even with layering, it appears that it's comfort temperature range to be so small as to render it almost useless. The concept of the jacket is a good one, but it requires a more robust fleece lining and a shell layer that truly blocks the wind and rain.

Pocket openings are very large, only lined with mesh and allow a significant amount of cold air into the jacket when open. I was disappointed by this and returned the jacket. I feel the pockets should be lined with warmer material.

Having purchased many LL Bean products including jackets over the years, I was confident that a Medium would fit (5ft 10in and 165lbs). So wrong! With just a t shirt on, the jacket was skin tight. The jacket is pretty light weight and if you wear in cold weather you will need another layer. If you order your usual size, there is no room for a layer and not air gap. Size up at least 1 size.

Fits smaller than usual. I wear an XL in just about every LL Bean top I own and this is uncomfortably tight. Recommend you go up one size.

Terrifically small fit unless item was missized. I would guess about a size smaller than displayed. I love this company but this item is a huge disappointment.

Ordered this jacket for my husband. Came today and it is too tight everywhere. He has many LL Bean jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts and all are XXL Tall and all fit except this one. Don't know what happened but we were very disappointed. Love the jacket, but the fit is much too tight,. Will return it tomorrow.

Jacket seems nice but upper sleeves are cut very small. A man would almost have to have no biceps for this to fit. We tried two different sizes but had to return them because of this issue.

I'm on the bigger side of sizing. But am active all seasons in the outdoors and need well built technical gear. Unfortunately they don't make my size anymore. Had to return and refund. Disappointed & can't tell you how this jacket was for xc ski season this winter.

I have bought Bean products for years and have found the sizing and quality to be unparalleled. I typically wear a 3XLT for shirts and coats and have many hanging in my closet. I was excited to order this coat because I really liked the features and style. Unfortunately when I received it the sizing was more like a 2XL instead of a 3XLT. The arm length was about 1-2" too short and the body length sat above my waist instead of near my waist. Needless to say I'm going to return this jacket, and Bean doesn't have any comparable jackets I like. Guess I'll wait and look next season. :(

Bought this a size larger than I wear in everything else, with anything thicker than a tee shirt, it's very difficult to put on, if you get it on, you can't cross your arms, very disappointing that these companies can't make clothing that is comfortable anymore.

Out for a sail September 3, Southwest Harbor, Maine. A chilly wind came up and I put the new Stormfleece on. It is advertised to block the wind. The wind cut right through it. Really disappointed. Looks great, but didn't function as hoped. It's going back.

I have ordered LLB jackets for years. Size 2XL. Never a problem. This jacket was definitely not a 2XL. Other than that, it's OK.

The Stromfleece Pro Hoodie Men's tall is not a good product. The Jacket is sewn poorly and there is puckering in check by the zipper. I had the jacket replaced and the second one had the same issue. Also the fit is not very good as it is too loose on the bottom and long. I have several Tall Large Jackets from LLBean and they are all 5 star but this jacket was poorly fit and constructed. I am in the garment business and qc should have picked up on the sewing issue. LLBean stood behind the product and took back both Jackets and paid for the return shipping.
