Slight hiccup with my original order, but got fixed I ordered a 3XLT but the coat I got was more like a XL or 2XL at best and definitely not T, even though it said it was XXXLT. Spoke to customer service and I returned the first coat and they sent me another coat, which I compared size to my other Bean coats and it matched.
I really like the features and style of this coat. It's warm but not overly so. Be aware it's slightly fitted so it runs a bit snug around the midsection. Also the pockets are placed a bit higher than the original fit coats, more like a bomber jacket. Glad to add this in my coat collection.

Heavier than anticipated. But that's good. Much warmer than anticipated also. Only concern might be the longevity of the cuff closurers. Time will tell.

Great jacket, warm and wind proof. Wish it had a more athletic fit and lower pockets.

Such a comfortable jacket for the seasons. It was a great purchase for the plane ride to and from New Zealand. It served me well during the trip, and is my go to jacket back at home.

The hoodie warm and lightweight. It is form fitting and comfortable. Should be good for most cold days here in Santa Fe. I look forward to wearing it when it is colder.

Great jacket. I appreciate the 3XL in slightly fitted sizing. The only thing keeping this jacket from four stars is the lack of pit zips.

This has become my new favorite "daily driver" jacket. I really like it.
While labeled as a hoodie, I find it more of a cross between a fleece hoodie and a softshell jacket; the stormfleece is notably stiffer than a typical fleece. That said I find it comfortable and flexible.
Winters here tend to be somewhat mild, but with large temperature swings, cold nights and somewhat unpredictable precipitation. Lots of sunny days but with a chilling breeze. This jacket has just enough warmth on its own to handle a variety of days, excellent windblock to cut that wind chill, and sheds water well enough to handle a brief rain or snow squall. I find its sizing to be every so slightly large (I'm 6'3" 175lbs and chose the Medium Tall), but that has the side benefit of allowing layers. I've worn an extra fleece and/or vest under this and have felt comfortable in temps far colder than they probably suggest it be used for. I have trouble finding jackets that fit and this being available in a Medium Tall is fantastic.
Really my only complaints are thus: Hand pockets are oddly designed and slightly high. I prefer a lower height of the pocket opening so it's comfortable to walk with my hands in. These are a little awkward feeling and the long zippers make for a loose appearance when open. The other complaint is the collar/hood area. There are elastic pull "tabs" for hood adjustment that pop out the inside of the collar on each side of the zipper. They are in the perfect spot to poke at and annoying my neck and chin. It's honestly really annoying! My solution has been to always have a collared something on underneath, whether shirt or light fleece or vest, anything. If I already have a collar on, it's fine. With just a t-shirt I can't use this jacket, it's just too annoying from that alone. Biggest reason to take off 1 star.
But that said, I am overall very happy with this jacket and use it daily. Thank you LLBean.

Love everything about this jacket but the pockets are a bit too high to be really comfortable.

Quality product. Should have a model in hunter orange instead of 'lobster red'....

Please bring back the Women Version of this jacket!! I have bought one for another family member and have called and written to LLBean and also spoken to clerks in the Freeport store! No one can tell me when it will be back!
Can we find out about this?
Thank you

Fit on this jacket is a little more snug than the other jackets in XL. Might be the style or cut of this one versus other fleece jackets. Otherwise very comfortable and stops wind while being warm. Great jacket for light winter days.

Loved the jacket but it was tight through the shoulders. Definitely not made for a muscular build. Should've ordered a 2XL. Returned it since they no longer have any in that size.

I bought this looking to replace the wonderful Wind Pro SuperFleece hooded jacket I bought about 15 years ago. That jacket kept me warm (with layers underneath) all winter long here in Jersey. The zipper finally gave out on that one and I have not found an LLBean jacket to replace it until this StormFleece Pro Hoodie. (by the way, if you are reading this LLBean, I wish you would put the name of the item that you use in the catalog on the tag in the neck of the item so that we could remember what you called it when we researching info. The ID numbers do us no good years later.)
Anyway, this is a great looking jacket. I am 6'3, about 180 with narrow shoulders and thin arms and a Regular Large fits me perfectly. I have 35-36 sleeve length and usually need a Tall to have the sleeves come down to the top of the thumb where I like them, but in this I did not need a tall. All the reviews that mention the fleece-lined narrow sleeves and the difficulty of putting it on over a sweater or sweatshirt are for the most part true. But if you can overlook that I think you will be happy with this jacket. (for spring and fall)
I have worn this jacket in light rain and also in cold windy weather. Light rain does bead up, but keep in mind that this is not a raincoat. I noticed that rain does get absorbed into the material over time. I have worn this coat in temperatures as low as 26 degrees with no wind and found that it is not a warm coat. It was fine at 40 degrees and even 35 with a sweatshirt, but below freezing, the cold just seeps through. Therefore, I would not consider this a winter coat, although I should add that I was only walking a dog, and perhaps being more active would help. Also, this jacket does not block the wind as well as the old wind pro fleece jacket I had before.
If you are looking for this coat to keep you warm in the winter, I wouldn't count on it. This coat doesn't allow for much layering underneath. The old wind pro fleece jacket was cut much fuller and I could layer up with plenty of warm clothes- river driver shirt, turtle neck etc.
So, conclusion--great all around, all weather spring/fall jacket, but not for temps below freezing.

Well made jacket, but not very easy to 'slip on' if you are wearing a long sleeve shirts as the lining of the jacket is like Velcro. It's a little longer than I was hoping, but probably typical for this type of jacket. Hood size is about perfect, which is nice as some of my other jackets the hood is so big it comes over my head and covers my eyes. I bought a medium, and it fits pretty well, though a little snug in shoulders and chest for my 5'9", 185 lb. frame. A large would be too big for my goal of a light jacket-not to put over layers.

The StormFleece is great for 35+ degree Michigan weather. Light rain beaded up and rolled off. The hood fits snuggly to keep out the cold winter windy blasts.
My previous LL Bean wind/water resistant fleece is over a decade old and still going strong. The StormFleece is much softer, stretchier, and does not have the plasticy membrane between the inner and out fleece layers. That makes the StormFleece a little less warm, but far more comfortable.
The "slightly Fitted" needs to be factored in when choosing a size. My Previous one was a large so I ordered the StormFleece as XL Tall and it is a little snug with a bulky shirt underneath. If there was a store close by, I would try on a 2XL.
The pockets are a little high and the stiff zippers make them pop open in a diamond shape (really noticeable with orange zippers) so I tend to keep them zipped up which makes them a little less useful.
Even with the snugness and pockets, it is still a keeper!

Pretty solid, I like it but a few quirks with it. The pockets are way higher on the jacket than I noticed before purchasing. Speaking of pockets they are uncovered mesh inside the jacket which seems cheap. Hem either pulls really tight or baggy, not much in between.

Great fit and material. I also like the color combo of dark blue and orange. The only minus for me are the zip pockets. It's hard to reach to open and close. Also when the side pockets are open, it doesn't stay flush but it looks like an open bag of chips.

Quite warm and comfortable. Needs to have the sleeves lined with nylon to ease putting it on.

Seems like a good value but I haven't gotten to test it out on the mountain just yet .I am expecting it will be great. I like the weight and design a lot.

I searched for hooded fleece jackets and, no surprise, there were more options available for men than woman. This jacket would've perfect but a men's small is just too large for me. Such a shame, as this otherwise seems perfect for my purpose.

Slightly more fitted than expected, but the material allows for plenty of give, so it's still comfortable.
