I bought this online. Shirt came and fit and feel were as expected. I returned it though because the buttons were so large. I thought it looked bad.

This slim fit style lacks room on shoulders and upper back. If you have muscles this won't be comfortable.I had to send mine back.

I love the fit and size of these shirts on me, but I have now had two pairs that blew-out at the elbow after approximately two years of moderate seasonal use. This level of quality is not acceptable for the price point and greater longevity should be expected. Elbow re-inforcement should be considered on a future design of this product.

Nice shirt but arrived with a hole in it so we now have to exchange.

Very nice shirt. Very heavy, paired with a river driver shirt you can't beat the combo. For a slim fit I'm very disappointed, shirt is still very big/wide. This seems to be the direction LLB is going these days.

The fabric is lovely, but it doesn't fit a woman very well. I originally got this shirt for my husband a few years ago and it's such a great layer for working outdoors I had to have my own. This review will cover my experience with the one I bought for myself, not the one I bought for my husband. I couldn't find a woman's shirt in this same fabric, so I had to buy this men's one. My husband's medium fit me perfectly everywhere but my hips, so I sized up to a large and it's a huge jump in size. The arms way too long and baggie, the torso way too wide. The fabric is wonderful for working outdoors in our mild PNW winters. It's hard to find good thick flannel shirts for women, so I'll probably just have it tailored - an added expense my husband didn't have. Wish you had the same options of outdoor work clothes for women as they do for men, or maybe I'm just not finding it online?

I really like the material and the color, but the shoulders are too tight, I can't raise my arms above my head. Medium is too baggy. I like Emerald Spruce and Marine Blue Plaid very much and I wish L.L Bean would make these in traditional fit, so please make these in traditional fit.

Didn't notice that product was slim fit, but have ordered other slim fits and they were okay...this one was so tight I could not raise my arms straight over my head. Did not like buttons, too large, 5/8th diameter as opposed to less than 1/2 on other shirts.

I have bought or was given moleskin shirts from LL Bean the last two years, and loved them. Four of them hang in my closet. This year the company turned to cheaper ways: the material is thinner and the shirts are not cut as full. After I put them on I raised my arms felt how tight the shirt fit across my back. Despite this the price per shirt remains high. I've paid more in the past to get quality from LLB, but not this year. I sent my two shirts back for a refund. I'm a fan of the company and I trust this is not indicative of a trend. I found better quality this year at other outlets.

The cuffs were really tight. Unable to be unbuttoned and turned over. Weird design. Too bad because the fabric was soft. It was returned

I bought several of these 1933 chamois shirts in XL about a year ago, and I love them! I could never get a good fit in the regular chamois shirts. If I bought them long enough in the sleeves, they were simply too long in the shirttail and made and made me feel like I was wearing a pancho. I didn't have that problem with the 1933 shirts. With the slim fit and shorter cut, they fit me perfectly, even in the sleeves! I expected the same perfect fit when I bought a new XL shirt this fall, but it seems a size too large and makes me feel like I am wearing, you guessed it, a pancho. The sleeves also swallow up my hands. It appears to be cut more like the regular Bean chamois shirts than the 1933 shirts. The heavy flannel is the same, good quality, but the sizing is off compared to the shirts I bought before. I guess I could go down a size, but I am concerned that the sleeves would be too short. Overall, I am disappointed with this latest purchase.

This is a fairly heavy flannel shirt. It is NOT chamois though. I gave it two stars because I like the color and it is warm. But let me repeat. It is NOT chamois.

Purchased this shirt for its retro look. The material is of the same high quality as my other six LL Bean chamois shirts no complaints there. My complaint is with the size I purchased a 2X same size as all my other shirts. This shirt was too small to get in to. Possibly labeled wrong? I gave the shirt to a friend wro wears size Large it fit him perfectly. My advice if you are a big guy avoid the slim cut. Go with regular cut.

By the way, it's made in El Salvador. Tag in shirt says 100% cotton. Is definitely not the same as the Pine Green. Really flimsy by comparison. Lacks the full chamois of other Bean shirts. Won't return it. Need a gray shirt to add to my half dozen Bean collection Does fit extremely well. My rust and green Signature shirts are the best. Gray is a flop.

I bought this shirt because it was stated as a slim fit, but it was DEFINITELY not a slim fit. It was cut similar to a Cabelas shirt, very big. I returned it. On a plus side, that is why I buy from LLBean, as you can return for free including shipping.

I bought the black 1933 Chamois. I've been purchasing these for years. This is the first time that I've noticed such poor quality. The material is paper thin compared to previous years. I'm talking the last eight years, not decades ago. I'm wearing one I bought a few years ago, and it is so much thicker and softer than the one I recently purchased. I've heard that LL Bean quality is declining, and I agree. I've noticed poor quality creeping into other items I've purchased from them. Very disappointed that this company is sacrificing quality to become fast fashion.

I really like the fabric, color options, and quality of these shirts. But, the fitting is completely off. For these shirts to fit well, I needed to have twigs for hands and a thin/straight torso. The XL was way too big in the torso, the arms fit well. The large fit well around the torso, but the arms were way to tight. I have worn a couple of other flannel shirts from Bean, but I could not get used to this fit. I am returning them for refund.

The shirt seems to be of good quality. The material feels good, I imagine it would feel even softer after a couple of washes. Nice big buttons that look good. But this shirt is massive. I have no clue how this is called a slim fit. I am 6'1, 210 lbs, decent shape but I still have a little extra around the midsection and I am swimming in this in the body. This would be a relaxed fit at best, and then a little large still.
