Love this shirt. It has a real soft feel but in no way flimsy. It is slim fit, which is fine but the sleeves were too tight for me. I'm returning this for a large.

Men must have had very skinny forearms in the 30"s. Im a "roll up my sleeves" kinda guy, especially with a super heavy flannel shirt. This is an impossibility with these 1931 design shirts. There is no room in the sleeves to do this. Quality is fantastic, Patterns and colors are unique and attractive...but those sleeves need some work.

I have 3 of the 1933 Signature Chamois shirts and love the small-tall sizing. Other reviews are correct and your standard size might not translate to Beans sizing. The small-tall fits my 6'/165lbs frame perfectly as a slim fit. I got my first shirt in black and was so happy I ordered another in grey. This was when I discovered that the chamois and sizing is very inconsistent between colors. This is why I gave them a 4 Star instead of 5. It's not bad enough to be bothered but it's pretty inconsistent. My third shirt was the plaid in natural color and it's been the best chamois of the three. The cloth is super soft to the touch and very comfortable, almost like PJs it's so comfortable. The black is not chamois at all, more of a soft Twill and the grey is somewhere in between the two. It's pretty clear that beans quality control and previously known consistency is in the past. That being said, they're still better than many, just not as superior as they used to be.

The flannel shirt I ordered for my husband was a large. My husband wears a large however I had to return the shirt for a medium. Now the shirt is almost to small and debating whether to send it back. Quality is excellent on all LL Bean clothing.

This is the shirt I wear more than any other. Thank you L.L.Bean for making a slim and tall shirt. YOU SHOULD MAKE MORE. These 1933's fit and feel great and I own about 9 of them. The only problem is they are not not holding up well. After a few months I got a hole in the elbow of two of them.

Over the years I have bought several L.L. Bean Chamois Cloth shirts. I have enjoyed all of them. This one is equally great, but it is 2.25 inches shorter than other L.L. Bean shirts. If it is tucked in and I streach it almost comes out of the pants. Oher than that, it's great.

Very comfortable, warm shirt. I would prefer it without the flaps over the pockets, it interferes with things like glasses and pens.

This shirt is the high quality construction that I expect from LL Bean. It washes well - no shrinking and has a great feel to it. It's a bit thicker than I expected but it's perfect for those really cold Chicago winter days.

I'm a slim guy, so unless I want to feel like I'm wearing a blanket I generally need to spring for Bean's Signature line's slim fit. The good news with these shirts is that the fit is great. The bad news is that the fabric quality seems to be very inconsistent. Bean's normal Chamois Cloth Shirt is made of a fantastic 7.5oz brushed Portuguese flannel fabric. It feels incredible. The Signature Chamois Cloth Shirt claims 7.8oz brushed Portuguese flannel. I've bought three of these shirts so far: the Lapis Teal, Deep Loden, and Vintage Red. The Lapis Teal and Vintage Red were nice, though do not feel quite as brushed and fuzzy as the normal chamois shirt - though I'd expect after a handful of washes they'll wear and soften up more. The Deep Loden however, was simply cloth, not brushed at all, and I returned it. I kept the Lapis Teal and Vintage Red. The inconsistency of the fabric quality in their chamois shirts is very frustrating, as the patterns and weight are great, but the line needs some major QA work, so be aware when you're buying.

I've purchased 4 of these shirts, 2 in the fall of 2016 & 2 in the fall of 2017. The colors are nice but the fabric seems to be inconsistent. The 2016 shirts were consistently made of substantial heavy fabric. Of the shirts purchased in 2017, one was made of a much softer fabric (more like Portuguese flannel) & what seems to be marginally lighter fabric while the other was of a substantially lighter fabric, looser weave and just not what I was expecting. I preferred the 2016 shirts which seemed of better quality. The looser weave shirt went back to Bean.

From time to time LL Bean will slightly change the fit and design of their products. I have some older chamois shirts that I love dearly. This shirt is larger and boxier.

I love the weight and texture of the fabric. Unfortunately, the slim fit is too slim for my chest/shoulders. I can't raise my arms above my chest while wearing this shirt in a Large, and I think the XL would not improve the fit since the shoulder seams are already off my shoulders... it just seems to be strange fit. I'll have to return it. My sizing: 5'10" about 175 pounds, 33 waist, 42 chest.

I ordered this shirt because I dhad a chamois shirt decades ago which lasted twenty years before it was too threadbare to wear any further. I hoped this shirt would be similar. It seemed to be well-made, but I didn't like the large buttons. I bought my short some time in the 70s, and I suppose the shirt I returned was faithful to the design in the 30s, but I hadn't noticed the large buttons on the website. Perhaps I ordered it from my cell phone. As always with LL Bean, the return went smoothly. I'm happy with the two chamois shirts I have, but have never ordered at a time when the tan color I had in the 70s was available in my size.

Very warm and comfortable. I like the outdoor pattern on the material. Well made as all LLBean clothing is.

Disappointed in how light weight the chamois fabric is. Thinner than shirts he has that are 15 years old.

I have several of these vintage 1933 Cami shirts from L.L. Bean. They are all remarkably soft and comfortable except for this one. Even after washing, it remains rather stiff and not particularly comfortable to wear. I'm hoping that it will soften overtime. I would not recommend this particular color as this seems to be the situation Only with This particular color. Perhaps this is why it was on sale. This is the first time I was ever really disappointed with the Cami shirt from L.L. Bean.

This shirt is supposedly "slim fit" but I was swimming in it. Nice pattern though.

This is an amazing flannel shirt. It is thick, soft and warm. The extra Tall M fit my husband perfectly the first month. So why the rating? Because with every wash the shirt shrank just a little bit. It was washed in cold water, on a gentle cycle and hung up on a hanger to dry in the house. So buy the next size up.

Unfortunately, even "slim fit" in medium tall is still quite baggy on me. Also, the arm holes are low, which gives it a boxy fit and restricts movement. It's definitely cut fuller than a slim fit in other brands.

Sleeves were way too long (I am 6 ft 4 inches tall). Only one button on each cuff. Fabric didn't feel good on my skin.

Like all Bean shirts, this is nice. However I bought this because it advertises as a slimmer fit. While this fits my shoulders fine, I could stick a soccer ball under the shirt at my waist. The shirt looks like it was designed for a pregnant woman. The only slim parts of the shirt are the arms, which are too tight to roll up. Quite a disappointment.

I thought since this was chamois the fabric would be thicker, but it seemed to thin to be called chamois. It also pilled up a little bit when washed. But my husband likes the colors and is okay with it. Hopefully the fabric will improve after a few more washes.

After coming out of the wash first time awful flimsy and not much there as compared to a typical Bean chamois shirt.more like a very thin flannel that may need some ironing to look better ( took it out of dryer right before it was done so that it didn't lay in dryer long time to get wrinkled

Does not have two buttons at the cuff as most of these shirts do. A real drawback. I will either move the buttons on my own or take it to my tailor making this a very expensive shirt.
