This shirt looks great, feels great and fits well. I've worn Bean chamois for years but always found the fit just too wide especially around the middle. I'm an athletic 5'7" and 170. I ordered the Medium. The shirt is slightly snug in the shoulders but fits the chest and mid-section perfectly. This isn't the chamois I'd pull out to layer over long underwear for a day in the field. But, if I want an incredibly soft, warm, beautiful shirt to wear around the cabin or town, this is it! Plus, the quality and softness of the chamois is amazing!

I purchased one for my husband last year. He was wearing it to work entirely too often so I had to buy him another! He loves the weight of it for a cold Vermont day even though he has an office job. He is a LG in most clothes but the Med Tall is the best fit in this item. Even though it's labeled "slim" this year, he (5'10" 180 lbs) likes the Med. Tall best.
Washes and wears great.

Really nice thick material. Great look.
I recommend this shirt, however I cant say this is a slim fit at all. I am 6 foot and 200 pounds and a large is pretty roomy. Next time I order I will get a medium tall.

The shirt is well-made of soft, heavy-weight material. Unlike many Bean shirts which have thick, blunt-edged buttons, this one has large, tapered buttons that are easy to slip into the holes. The "tall" "small" fits me perfectly.
Which is my general complaint: Why can't you offer more shirts in this sizing? I can't think that I am the only somewhat tall, somewhat slim customer. I've given up on Bean "regular" shirts.

My husband loves these shirts. I just order a third one for him. He says they are so comfortable and warm. They also look good.

I like this shirt. I'm 5' 10'', 165 lbs and on the break point between small and medium shirt size. My experience with L.L. Bean products is that they run a bit large for me. My first order of this shirt in medium was returned at no cost to me for a small which I am much happier with. The shirt is warm, well made, and a very conformable wear. L.L. Bean sell great products and their customer support could not be better.

These shirts are outstanding. They are warm, soft, reasonably rugged and comfortable. The slim and tall fits my athletic frame very well. I have received many complements about this particular patterned shirt from not only friends but other men that I have met over the holidays.

It only seems appropriate that I write this review as I'm wearing one of these shirts on this chilly 15 degree morning...I now own four of them (lapis teal, deep loden, royal red, deep water blue) in addition to one of the solid 1933 chamois shirts (dark slate). I love the fit of the signature collection. I'm 6'1, 180 lbs, in good shape and I've always had a hard time finding a nice flannel shirt that fits right without all the bulk. I've always appreciated L.L. Bean's quality shirts, but hesitated to purchase because of the fit...until I found these. Size Medium Regular fits me great either layered over a t-shirt or thermal Henley without being too tight or too loose, and I can easily get away with the shirttail un-tucked. The material itself is very soft and hefty and I cannot praise the quality of the construction and details enough. I get compliments all the time on how warm and great the patterns and colors look. Some people are a little shocked when I tell them they're L.L. Bean because they're that stylish and good looking. A thought on the materials: some older reviews I've read have commented that the material doesn't feel like the original chamois, but more of a knit cotton. I do notice a bit of a difference in the older shirts I have (lapis teal, deep loden), but the newer ones definitely feel truer to the original. It doesn't bother me at all because they all feel and look great. These hold up very well machine washing too; just wash cold on delicate, tumble dry low and they won't shrink and resist pill extremely well. Bottom line: great product, well worth the price, and will hold up and look great for years to come.

This is a wonderful shirt--the fabric is soft and comfortable and provides warmth without bulk, offered in a variety of lovely plaids and colors. We purchased 2 as gifts, one for our son, the other for our nephew. Both were delighted and put them on immediately after opening their Christmas package. I plan on future purchases of this particular shirt. Good quality and a good value.

My 20 year old son loves the way the Signature 33 Chamois shirt looks on and the weight of the material. I ordered one last year and a second for Christmas. Nice looking shirt on with the slim fit.

The regular LL Bean chamois shirt in xxl is too big for me and the xl is too small; however, these Signature chamois shirts fit me perfectly in xxl. Best of all I love the retro styling with the big, dark buttons and get compliments on them all the time. At present, I own seven of them in different plaids and solids. One shirt came with a tear in it. Called LL Bean and they sent a replacement in less than a week.

I bought this shirt after owning the signature chamois in solid color for several years. This shirt has the same style and fit but the fabric is different. It is plaid of course, but it is not the soft, dense chamois cloth that the solid colored shirts are made of. The fabric is a looser weave. Still very nice but not the same.

Bought one and then ordered 4 more. Love'em. Fits well, only downside (XXL) is sleeves are long. Wish they had a second button option.

I think I've reviewed this shirt--or one like it--before, so I'll just say that this fit--the Signature Slim-Fit--in a Tall is ideal for my husband. We hope LL bean will continue to offer shirts in this size--with pockets.

Yes, a THICK cotton shirt with a very cozy feel and BIG easy buttons for cold fingers. Great early 1900's pattern that goes with my jeans or chinos. Thanks LLBean for the tall sizes and slim fits too!

Overall very good shirt. Nice looking, quality material, sturdy stitching.
In the product description, it seems like this Signature line chamois shirt has the same material and construction as the Traditional Fit chamois shirt. The only difference being the fit.
However, when I went to the Freeport store and compared these two side by side, the materials used are somewhat different. The traditional fit ones are apparently thicker and stronger. I hope LLBean could be more specific in the description.

I like this shirt because it fits well and looks sharp in the blue/bronze plaid. I don't think it's as heavy as the traditional Bean chamois shirt I bought a few years ago, but the fabric is soft and very comfortable. I very much appreciate the trim fit of the Signature line of shirts because the regular line of flannel shirts has a greatly expanded waistline that doesn't look good on me.
