My Kids are rough on shoes , these stand the test of time , VERY durable.

My son was transitioning from 11XW little kid stride rites into big kid sizes. Based on stride rite’s measuring recommendations (handy, printable measuring guide on their website), I ordered this shoe in 12.5 regular width and the fit was perfect. Looks like big kid shoes are naturally a bit wider. I almost got spooked by all the negative feedback about durability, but these seem pretty solid. Not as bullet proof as the stride rites but should easily last until they’re outgrown.

This is the third pair of these shoes we've bought for our 4 year old son. The first was great, but he outgrew them. The bungee on the second pair broke after ~2 months of wear. We bought this most recent pair before a trip to Disney and they held up well the entire trip. He didn't complain at all about feet hurting.

This is our second pair of Merrell Trail Chaser shoes. he has grown out of the first pair. I love Merrell and these come in a Wide width which is sometimes hard to find. These shoes hold up well to 5 yr old chaos and have been excellent. They are breathable, rugged, and velcro makes them easy for him to get on and off independently.

I love these shoes! They aren't too heavy, stylish, easy to put on, and comfortable for my son.

Excellent kid shoes - my son loves them! They are comfortable and have done an excellent job of standing up to the wear and tear of a very active 7 year old boy. We've been so impressed with them that when we accidentally left his original pair behind on vacation, we purchased a second pair to serve as subs until the originals made it back to us.

The day after these arrived we left for a week long trip to New England - lots of walking, running and jumping. My son had no issues with them.

Out of EIGHT pairs of shoes I ordered for my 7-year-old grandson, this was the ONLY ones he could stand to have on his feet. He has sensory processing issues, and although his feet do not appear inordinately wide, they are apparently somewhat thicker than average, and I pull my hair trying to get shoes for him that feel good. I order 1W in the blue/green combo for him even though they seem a little large. These are really good looking, and he seems happy with them.

I know these appear expensive, but they will outlast your children’s growth spurts! The other pair lasted a year of every other day use on an active child. These fit my 9 year old well.
