I was first introduced to Topo with the prior iteration of this shoe and fell in love with the brand (and quickly bought a second pair). Unfortunately, when it was time to replace those, I could not find another pair of same in my size, so went with the updated version. Even though I have a narrow/low volume foot, I do enjoy the wider toe box and it still fits like a warm hug through the heel and "waist" of the foot. My only complaint (and I'm not sure if it is or not) is that the ride can seem a bit too cushy at times and my feet can feel a bit more tired at the end of a hike. Almost as if I'm having to work harder--like walking on soft sand--to move. Also, though I do like having feel of the ground under me, I have felt sharp rock edge through the sole in an uncomfortable way. I am still a fan of the brand (also have both the workout and recovery shoes) and do recommend them to anyone who asks me about my shoes but this one just wasn't a good "fit" for me. I'll be giving the new Terraventure a go next.

I have only traveled 21 miles in my Topos but they won't be going any further with me. I did a 2 mile trail run and they seemed okay. I backpacked 19 over two days. The first day at 13 miles ended with blisters and hot spots in my heels and arches that only got worse over the last 6 miles the next day.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I liked how they felt and and I did like 5 mm drop. However, the left shoe started to feel as if arch support was collapsing. They made my feet feel very warm which was weird, If you do buy these, make sure to size up as they run a tad short.

These shoes are very poorly made. I bought two pairs, BOTH pairs wore out around the back of the shoe creating holes around the heel and ankle. BOTH PAIRS DID THIS AFTER JUST FOUR MONTHS OF WEARING THEM. I do not run every day, I do not wear these every day, yet they just do not last long at all. They are very comfortable, that's why I bought another pair. At first, I thought I just got a pair that was not as well made as the next pair might be... same thing happened. CHEAP! BUYER BEWARE!

I bought these shoes for hiking. The rubber delaminated from the top on both shoes before I used them for 70 miles. Because I expected about 400 miles from them I did not save my proof of purchase and topos would not honor their warrantee. They offered me 50% off my next shoe, but as the quality I received was so poor, I don't want them. They did not respond to my question on how best to attempt a repair.

I have owned several Topos. I love them all so much! Much to my sadness, the larger cushion/sole of the Terraventure mixed with the unsupported midsole fabric seems to allow for much greater pronation if you're already susceptible. I never had any issues until I started running in these and have switched and feel fine running again. I'm so bummed out!

This shoe feels a little sloppy and dull. There's nothing special about it as far as any type of energy return and the fit is a bit sloppy in the mid and forefoot (and I usually love the wide fitting shoes). The toe cap is delaminating after 120 miles. Won't buy this model again without significant changes.

I wanted to love but the footbed was not wide enough. Weird heel and platform to high

I really thought I found my next pair of running shoes. However, after wearing them for 20 min around the house I found that my foot landed right on all the seams. My arches landed on and over the ample arch support, and my big toe rubbed against the front side of the shoe. The cushion was excellent and very springy if a bit tall. Toebox was roomy, but I felt the shoe was made for someone with a very different shaped foot than mine, and I had to return.

I need a wide toebox shoe. The shoe took a long time to break in, and you can see by the angle of the back heel pushing into the back of your foot why I would get blisters! Then once I had broken them insufficiently they seem to fall apart. I only use these for walking and have had them for less than a month and they’re already fraying to the point where the cloth uppers look like they have been thru war. Cannot recommend.

I'm so bummed with this version. I have a pair of the 2's and they were my perfect shoe-solved all of my feet and blister problems. This version feels wildly smaller in the toe box and has given me a ton of issues.

This shoe has no structure to the upper - it's wayyyy too flexible, which resulted in my foot moving around and over the side of the sole when I was on uneven ground on my first hike with these. One of my feet, in particular, felt like I had injured it right after wearing these for the first time. The pain has persisted on and off for three months now, and I finally got into see a podiatrist who diagnosed a stress fracture in that foot. I highly recommend to NOT BUY THESE SHOES. I am now in a boot and sidelined from any hiking (or biking) for the next month because of the injury resulting from the lack of structure in these shoes.

Right out of the box these felt great. However, on my first (on only) hike with them, I noticed that the upper utterly lacks structure. My feet were over-pronating like crazy, which is a problem I've never had. I don't do it in any other shoes, and I've even been assessed at a running store in the past, which showed I have a neutral gait. The issue seems to be the lack of structure in the upper fabric, which means as soon as you hit uneven ground, your foot is slipping inward, over the sole. After 6 miles, my feet were hurting, and I woke up the next day (today) feeling like I have tendinitis in one of my feet. I am soooooo bummed about this, because now that I've worn them, I can't send them back, but they're completely useless to me. I guess I'm going to stick to my Altras, which feel much more stable underfoot. Too bad I flushed $150 down the drain to figure that out.

I've worn a variety of different trail shoes and all have held up much better than Topo Ultraventure 3s. These broke down with barely 100 miles on them and started to cause knee pain. I could run in the other brands' shoes I was wearing concurrently with no pain at all, but when I put the Topos on, the knee pain would appear.

I have worn these shoes for approximately 40 miles of New England hiking. The soles are already peeling off from the bottom and the front rubber toe tabs are coming undone. I feel like a pair of shoes should last longer than this. I would never recommend this shoe to anyone.

I have had the worst first experience with this brand. I bought the Ultraventure 3's for hiking and trail running. I wore these shoes 3 times over a total of 22 miles. The first two miles were a trail run, they seemed fine. Plenty of room in the toe box and good cushion. I then took these shoes on 13 mile and 6 mile two day hike. It was over the long distance hike that I realized just how uncomfortable these shoes were. By the end of the day I had hot spots and blisters along my heels and arches. By the time I actually got to test these shoes out, the 30 Day Return Policy window had closed. I have been trying to make this return for over a week. Customer Service has been slow to respond and keeps asking me for the same information I have already provided them. Twice I have sent them 7 photos of the condition of the shoes (which is like new with minor insole damage to the brand name, easily replaced), a photo of the tag on the tongue of the shoe, and proof of purchase with a bank statement. Their solution was to either give me a new pair of the exact same shoe, which makes no sense. Why would I want another pair of the exact shoe that is causing me discomfort? Their other solution was to offer me 50% off a future order, so they want me to give them more money to replace the shoes. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with for a simple return. I do not recommend this company or product and will not be giving them my business in the future. I am really disappointed.

It has the comfort & style. I gave a 1 star overall because I had to return them. This sneaker rockers you forward when you walk. This does not work for me maybe it will for others.

The heel of the shoe angles into the back of the heel and is so painful. You can see by the shape that it will do that. The fit otherwise was good. Wide enough toe box, sufficient padding.
