I bought these just before a trip to Europe where I knew I would be walking for hours on cobblestones, up and down hills. The cushioning was tremendous and my feet never hurt, a first for me. This is my third pair of Topos.

I broke my foot this year and have struggled to be comfortable in any shoes....until I found the Ultraventure 3's! Love, love, love this shoe. Its giving my foot the stability I need with great arch support and an extremely comfortable tor box. I'm looking forward to buying more of these!!

These are absolutely amazing fit on my feet. The original version was where I was hooked. Version 2 the lacing started over my toes so I could not wear them. Moved over to phantom 2. Ultraventure 3 wide toe box support and cushion. I have RA and I can't say enough that these fit my foot structure. My hips dont hurt. I walk on trails I work outside with them but these are perfection for my feet.

I ordered a 10 1/2 since my regular 10 was not available & going with the recommendation to order a half size up. Is a very tad slippy in the heel area if I put on the wrong socks. Otherwise, pretty good. Nice roll. Comfortable during and after long walks.

The roomy toebox has helped both my Mortons neuroma and neuropathy. Very comfortable shoes. I got the "wide" and I like that the heel is still narrow. There are two things i dont like however. One is that shoe causes me to over-pronate. The second downside is a quality control issue ive had with several topo models.. I liked these enough to order a second pair a week after i bought the first pair. The second pair's right shoe had arch support that felt like a hard egg under the right foot and made me really sore. I had no issue with the first pair. I returned the second pair but havent reordered due to the quality control issue.

I have Mortons neuroma and really appreciate the wide toe box. My feet do not hurt when wearing these shoes which is a great blessing. I wish all Topo models were available in wide widths and with greater color choices.

The lugs on the bottom were smaller than the 2's and I don't like that these are bulkier. They are pretty decent shoes, I just really loved the 2's and I wish they could've just stayed the same forever. Hoping I can find another model of this brand that is more like the Ultraventure 2's.

I run on the Ozark/Shawnee midwest trails. I have ran in UV1 and UV2. Version 3 has been the best to date. If this shoe had MEGA GRIP and slightly better lug pattern it would have gotten 5 stars. The current outsole limits this shoe to less technical terrain/adverse conditions. I do really enjoy this shoe but it has it's limits. I bought a second pair because they are great for their intended purpose. This shoe can go Ultra distance and really shines on dry dirt trails. Highly recommend for those looking for comfort and protection for long runs. I have worn this shoe for many 5+ hr runs as well as one 10hr with no issues what so ever.

You would get 5 stars if you would offer a wide in the hiking boot style with bright colors

I ordered the women's wide in 10.0 as no 10.5 is available at all for the Ultraventure 3 -- 10.0 is the biggest made for women's wide in this shoe. I thought it might fit as I currently wear women's shoes that are smaller than a 10.0. I thought it might be wider than the men's 9.0 (42.5) regular I first ordered. It is wider and the fit was better except for the length being too short. I am returning the women's wide 10.0 as there is no 10.5 wide replacement for it.

Good grip on some. Extremely comfortable from day one. Nice wide toe box, great for bunions. I'm a bit disappointed in being able to feel the ground underfoot and would have liked more cushion.

True to the claims, the wide-toe box make this hiking shoe a winner. That combined with above average arch support means my feet are comfortable and I don't have to worry about them. While time will tell how long the soles and cushioning hold up, the exterior around the shoe collar started fraying after only 2 wears. Very disappointing. My TOPO running shoes have a couple hundred miles on them, and do not have similar wear issues.

The tow box is roomy and the footbed is cushiony The only thing I would like to add is a strap at the heel to pull it on #sweepstakes

Great road to trail shoe. Perfect for a low to moderately technical 50k that includes a few road sections. I now compare every shoe I try on to these and nothing compares to the Topo fit. My only request would be softer/smoother materials on the inside of the shoe and insole.

I am impressed with the toe box in the UV 3 vs the UV 2's. They improved the design and my toes have lots of stretch room. Thank you Topo. However the back of the UV 3's rub against my ankles. So it will be high socks and blister tape from now on while wearing these. There is a difference in how the two models were made and I hate that I spend that much money on shoes to have a problem. This is my 6th pair of topos over the years and I haven't any rub issues until now. I will keep them because everything else about them is fantastic.

Finished the Cedro Heavy Half trail run yesterday. 19 miles of mostly rocky dusty hilly single track. 7.5 wides handled well though I do miss the tread of the original model. Not confident this tread will last long.I have the medium width in a size 8 and got big blister on wide forefoot of right foot due to bumpy seams in that area.

Love the way the heel and middle of the shoe hold my foot. Super stable. Also love the roomy toe box. The top of the shoe and tongue are also greatperfect amount of stiffness and cushion and breathability. The one thing I want is a more rigid, thicker sole for my hallux rigidus. If you make it, I will buy it!

I bought this pair and a pair of Mountain Racer 3. I am keeping the Ultraventure 3. The fit on both shoes was pretty good, but, the Ultraventures were deeper in both the toe box and heel and therefore fit more comfortably with my custom orthotics. I do wish that the Vibrum outer sole on the Ultraventures covered the entire bottom of the shoe - but am hopeful that the lack of vibrum in the middle of the outer sole will not affect their longevity.

These shoes were very wide in the toe box. So much so, the material was wrinkled & kind of caved in.

Hiked a little over 100 miles on these on the Camino Frances in Spain. Was having some knee problems and may have been walking funny as a result, but my friend noted that my right foot was leaning inward (inside the shoe). Was so used to it during the Camino, and focused on my knee pain that I didn't really notice myself. However, after the hike, I wore sandals for a couple days and, then, had to wear the Topos again for the airplane and really noticed that the sole was malformed and uncomfortable after the hike. I chose cushion/comfort over structure when I bought these shoes and, now, I'd say that was the wrong choice after this experience.

These were good for training for a week long run through the Dolomites because I was mostly training through wooded trails. Once I wore them in the mountains on various terrain, I wish I had gotten something else. Toe box was too wide for all the downhill running and I ended up with blisters on my big toes. The traction was completely worn out after 5 days.

I love the shape of Topos. I have had 5 pairs. I wish the sole didn't wear out so quickly, but I keep buying them because the fit and feel has been better than any other running/cross-trainer I have had in many years. But these Ultraventures were a full inch longer than all my other size 6.5 Tops. I had to return them to the store.

This is not my first pair of UltraVentures. I've worn the first and second and the pro version with wild abandon. I have recommended them every chance I got online and on trails. They WERE the unicorn trail shoe for me, a little stability, a killer tread, some cushion, a lower drop and wide toe box. The UV3got rid of the tread and the stability and that is hugely hugely disappointing. Come on Topous pronators need some great trail shoes too!

Okay, so I've been an Ultraventure fan since its first iteration and was quite leery of the extreme change in design. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The underfoot feel (nice cushion and not to aggressive with her arch etc) is good and the grip is still decent. The struggle for me has been the sizing. I was a 10.5 in the UV2 and I initially bought that size and had to really cinch things down to keep from sliding around. But the 10 feels like a whole size difference instead of a half size and my toes hit the end of the shoe especially on the downhill. After going back and forth between the two I have to stick with the one that is a bit too large. I actually think they might have gone a bit too far widening the toe box and adding extra material to the front end of the shoe. I'm interested to see what the next update brings. Now, if they could just turn the mountain racer (I find a bit too firm) into more of the old UV2 in terms of cushion etc, I could go for that.
