I am running in these shoes as well as the Fly-Lyte 4. I love both, but have to say the Cyclone 2 look great, feel great and for me are superb shoes. I will keep buying both as I do love them both. I love the look of the Cyclone 2 and really wish there were some additional colors. I love the blue-green color as it looks better in person than on the site. But would love a light purple! I would buy them all up!

This shoe blew me out of the water. I have always worn the Ultrafly, but one run in the Cyclone 2 SOLD me on this shoe and it was love at first run. Light, responsive, peppy and pretty, this shoe feels like you're hardly wearing anything at all, yet the cushion and pop it gives is amazing. Hands down my go to road shoe now. Topo, you have a winner with this shoe!

I really like the springy foam in this shoe. Even though there's just a thin layer of rubber, it does feel grippy on the road. The upper is a HUGE improvement on the original cyclone. I liked the sole of that shoe, but the heel was so thin and not secure that I would get blisters. This upper feels like a lighter weight version of the Ultrafly, and the heel is very secure.

I'm a long time Topo wearer for the wide toebox & 3mm-5mm drops but I wasn't a fan of the first edition Cyclone model - mostly due to the heel design. Topo listened to their customers, stepped up to the challenge and ran with changes to improve on the original in the new Cyclone 2!
The 2's are somehow made of air. The mesh fabric of the upper feels sturdy but it's so breathable and dries quickly. The sole is like puffy, weightless styrofoam. The drop is perfect and there is a light arch support that is right up my alley. The lacing and tongue have almost a stretchy give to them so they don't get too tight in any one spot of my high instep. The toebox is roomy but secure with no rubbing on the top of my toes. The design makes my foot maintain a neutral running position. Best of all, the new heel is wonderful!!
I always size up a half size to an 8.5 on running shoes from my standard shoe size of an 8 and that was just right with these. I wore these right out of the box for a 3 mile run and a 12 mile run within 24 hours of them arriving at my home. I had ordered as soon as I saw the release announcement so I've been wearing them almost a month as of this review. They even work for a bit of cross training so I don't slip on bleachers or lose my footing on grass while tire flipping but I wouldn't recommend them for trail running because they are too light for that. The only cons I have found are that the insole sometimes shifts a slight bit, the new lighter cushion feels a little odd in the beginning and these don't have any sort of rocker propulsion to speed me up, unfortunately, but I can't have everything! I will always miss my discontinued Zephyr's but I hope the Cyclone 2's stick around and bring more color options in the future.

Wow! Topo is spot on with this shoe. The shoe is light, very light. I find it fits true to size. I think lighter runners can use it as lightweight daily trainer. It definitely makes you want to run fast. The PEBAX foam is exceptional. A bit softer than the powerrun pb in the endorphin series. The shoe reminds me of the rebel v2 (an all-time favorite). Also reminds of the streakfly, but the Cyclone 2 has a wider, more stable base with none of the bottoming out I experienced in the streakfly. This is my first Topo shoe and I am very impressed. I'm glad Topo did not put a plate in this shoe which helps provide a more natural feel on the run. I plan to use it in some upcoming 5k and 10k races. Durability is yet to be determined, but TOPO came to market with a shoe I really enjoy running in and that's what running is all about.

Love the cushion and room in the toe box. I do find that the soles wear down rather quickly, though. Shoes are very lightweight.

Just discovered this brand.. They fit my foot great as I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel. First pair I purchased were Ultraventure 4. After hiking I had no back pain. I bought another pair(Ultrafly)to wear casually around as they are very comfortable. I bought the Atmos for my Orangetheory workouts. Unfortunately the soles do not have enough traction for the strider and my feet kept slipping and the heel is too wide for rower. It's okay though. Still love them and can wear on outdoor walks.

Wear them to work or errands. I have severe plantar fasciitis and hallax rigidus and was hoping these would help a bit. The larger toebox has been helpful but not enough arch support for plantar #sweepstakes

I enjoy the wide toe box, it is the roomiest I have encountered in a wide toe box shoe; however, I don't feel that the shoe lasts quite that long. I've had mine for about a year now but 5 months in to wearing them the foam on the back of the shoe slipped off of the backing and I've had to manually fix it in place with a tweezers constantly. Perhaps I will need to invest in a shoe tongue. At first there was heel slippage but I changed the way I laced my shoes so it's not as much of an issue.

I haven't been wearing mine often as yet since I got these to add into my rotation for my speed runs. They are comfortable enough, I have narrow-ish feet so they fit comfortably without any major issues there. I like that it sits below my ankle where it could potentially rub if you wear low socks. They are cute and I enjoy wearing them so far on my runs but I can tell they need to be broken in a bit as they are a bit too stiff.

I need a wide toe box on my right foot. This shoe is just right for that.
But I wonder why the tongue where the laces are tied doesn't have a loop where the laces keep the tongue from sliding down when you put on the shoes...

I love the Topo toebox and the way the shoe HUGS my heel. NO slippage. They feel like slippers the first time you put them on and just keep getting more and more comfortable.
I can't remember the proper terminology right now, but I wish Topo would make a high-cusbion shoe, with pronation support . That's the only reason I rated the shoe four star instead of five star.
Highly recommend!

This is my dream road shoe and I've gone through 3 pairs in the past year. Sadly the side walls blow out super fast! I wrote to Topo and they said it's not designed as an every day trainer. I get that the foam etc might not hold up but creating such a disposable product in regards to fabric quality is a crime. Please get some sturdier fiber in the side walls! And better adhesive keeping the bottom grip tape on.
Otherwise a total dream shoe!

I love these shoes for how lightweight they are, but decent cushion. I've taken them on 20 milers. However, after only 120 total miles, they've lost some bounce, and the upper is torn. I will buy them again simply because the ride is so enjoyable, but I hope the next version of these are more durable. I'm also looking forward to the Specter 2, which I hope will be the Cyclone 2 but with more cushion.

The Cyclone was fantastic right out of the box--lightweight, comfortable, responsive, and needing zero break-in time. But, I hate the flat shoe bottom. The rubber overlays on the sole are not grippy on anything but dry road/sidewalk conditions. I live in the PNW and deal with lots of wet surfaces; the Cyclone sole slips on all of them, even crosswalk paint. I wore the Cyclone while running in SoCal and the sand on the path caused major slipping issues. There's just not enough traction/grip.

I love how light these shoes are! I plan to use these for half marathons and interval/tempo runs. I have wide feet and most "race" carbon plated shoes simply don't work for me. I can't compare them to a carbon shoe as I have no experience, but these are fast, light, and responsive. Lots of room in the toe box and they support my forefoot nicely. My only complaint is they feel a bit narrow around the heel. Part of my heel hangs over the sole.

bought these on recommendation from my podiatrist because I have struggled all my life with finding comfortable shoes that fit my wide toe box
brought these on Disney World trip and wore walking around Animal Kingdom
got back to resort and my left foot had a GIGANTIC water blister in the arch/heel area and a smaller blister on my outer upper foot
ruined the remainder of my vacation because no shoes felt good after that and a week later still dealing with a huge blood spot where the big blister was
I hoped these would be my savior but now I'm afraid to put them back on

I alternate between wearing these and wearing a pair of brooks. These are definitely more responsive. I loved them until the upper started to rip on the side. I was surprised when I got them that the upper was so transparent and mesh like. Unsurprisingly it broke down and ripped. I hope the new cyclones are better. My first pair of topos were trail runners which are still very much intact on the upper even though the sole is so worn down.

I wore my Atmos 3 shoes approximately three miles per day for four months walking my dog on asphalt surfaces. I knew the soles would not last long because they are so soft. They now have at least four holes in the soles and water wicks up when it's wet. I sincerely hope that Topo puts some effort into making some changes. For reference I am not a large person, less than 120 lbs and I don't drag my feet or do extreme sports.

Great fit! Roomy toe box narrows into a snug fitting mid fit and heel. My heel comfortably locks on creating a stable feeling shoe with room for my toes to spread. Ride is springy and responsive. I really love this show with a big exception. The quality of the upper is not holding up. After less than 3 months of wear, rotating between two other pairs of shoes, both of these shoes have developed holes on the inside area or my feet. It's the same place on both shoes, just beyond the mid foot. For the price and d performance, I'd like my shoes to last longer 100 miles. The sole of the shoe is still in great condition.
