too wide especially when I needed them for working out. But if my heel slips out during squats or my feet can't stay balanced, they are useless, albeit well made. Had to go with another brand who did offer narrow widths. Same shoe at LL Bean, but alas only available in medium.

I liked the color and style of the shoe. However, I found that I needed to stretch the laces in order to put the shoes on. The fit on the right shoe was fine. However, the tongue on the right inner side of the left shoe was not inserted into the shoe correctly as it stuck out into my foot on that side. The tongue of the shoe above stuck into the bottom where my foot and leg met. That was generally uncomfortable. Unfortunately I returned the shoes.

I am having trouble with the right shoe rubbing my bunion on my foot. If this shoe had come in a wide width, it would be more comfortable. I am going to try to stretch the width of the front of the shoe to see if it fits more comfortably. I wish more shoes came in a wide width.

Sharp looking shoe, especially like the orange color. Not thrilled with the construction, as the ball of the foot is rather narrow, causing discomfort for a foot with bunions. The heel is a bit wide, and as others noted, prone to slippage; this because the sides of the heel area doesn't have the extra padding on either side of the heel area (like New Balance and other running shoes) that serves to hold the foot in place to prevent the heel from moving up and down within the shoe. Not sure I'll keep. Will try inside the house first.

Loved the color. Unfortunately the sneaker was too narrow and too small. My usual size is 8-8.5. Ordered 8.5 but it was uncomfortable. Had to return.

A little tight in the toebox but otherwise fits well. The edges of the tongue are rough and scratchy though, so you have to wear socks that come up above your ankles . The round shoelaces are annoying, always coming undone. I replaced them with ones that don't need tying.

These sneakers look great and the size was right. The heel didn't have padding all the way down and around. A deal breaker for me.

I loved the look of this sneaker but unfortunately I had to return it. I ordered up half size as suggested but the sneaker was way too tight. I have bought other shoes that look like this one without any problems. No idea what was different about the fit.

These were not for me. Main problem was the lack of any cushioned binding around the opening. So the edges were stiff & rough all around the ankle. That was before I did nothing more than take a few steps in the house. Might be okay with higher thick socks. Never had this problem with any other shoes, much less sport or athletic shoes. Disappointed, but Bean is great about returns so I'll probably re-order something different. As for size, it was recommended to go a half size up. Probably a good idea.

Not liking the fit, wondering if I should send them back or try to see if they break in a little. Only wearing them in the house on carpet. They feel narrow.

I ordered two pairs of these Dirigo Sneakers in "mineral red" on clearance at a great price. Unfortunately the mesh part of the shoe was a very different color than pictured online. The color of the mesh on both pairs I received was a lilac or lavender. The mesh did not match the colored part along the edge of the sole as in the picture. This must have been a defect in the dying process, and these shoes should not have passed quality control.

Toe box very shallow; like the color; wish it was roomier.

These shoes look great, but I had blisters on the heels of both feet after walking less than 5 minutes. I turned around and could not even finish my walk! I typically wear an 8, but got the 8.5 for extra toe room but there was little. After wearing them in the house for a while, I decided the true test was the walk I usually do through a neighborhood and park, all on pavement. There is NO padding on the heel of these shoes except along the top edge, and the footbed was actually TOO padded, as it raised my heel up from the position it should have been in; still not sure I could have avoided the blisters. I have purchased LL Bean shoes and hiking boots over the years and have been pleased overall, but this experience has soured me big time! The last tennies I bought I got 2 pair, but I cannot find anything as comfortable anymore. I am now looking elsewhere.

These are the stiffest shoes I have ever tried to wear. They left my feet sore, bruised and blistered. Too stiff and hard to be comfortable. I am returning them.

I bought these shoes a while back and felt they were wonderful, but I wore them to walk down a ski slope on Aug 12, and both shoes sliced my skin on my low shin. It's now Sept 6th and I still have a scab on my right shin which will be leaving a scar (and it was just super painful).

I tried to order a pair of these shoes - they are advertised as coming in a B width and a wide D width. When I went on line to order them I was not able to order a D width. I would love to try them but a B width will not fit.
