Beautiful design, heavy sole, and nice cushion. Size runs big - I'm usually a size 9-9 1/2, but ordered these in size 9 and had to return them because they were too big. Three stars because the lacing is just for show - you cannot tighten or adjust it to get a better fit. I'm definitely going to buy this again, but a half size smaller.

Even with wearing thick socks, my size 6 are still too large and they don't come in a size 5. Bummer because they are gorgeous. I have the ankle boots but wanted these for those days where ice is an issue as we rarely get any snow. I hope LL Bean either starts making these true to shoe sizes or at least offer a size 5 option.

Wanted to love these. I'm ordering 3rd pair as all too big at heel which makes them slip off. I like that they are all rubber and great for snow but so hard to get the right fit.

Same old terrific boot, but could not get a good fit for my partner's 10.5 size foot, even with heavy socks.

Bought as recommended but still too large. Three pairs of socks needed. Normal shoe size 8.5. Ordered 8.

I normally wear a 10W in women's shoes. Some customers recommended sizing down, even if you want to wear heavy socks. I ordered the Women's 9W. It is still a whole size too big. I'll have to send these back and reorder an 8W!! Otherwise, I love LL Bean quality and that they stand behind their products. But the manufacturer is really off on production sizes. Either that or I got a mislabeled box.

These are adorable. Following the sizing instructions, I sized down and they fit wellone size smaller than the usual size I buy in boots. The laces on one shoe broke the second time I wore them. I tied the broken lace and it seemed to be holding, but I'd love to have replacement laces. Also, the tongue is suede rather than a waterproof material, so good to walk in puddles, but not so good to wear in a downpour.

The shoe is cute and well made. Returned because they cut deep, painful blisters into the inner side of each foot after a short walk. No adjustment as it is the rubber part meeting the leather side that did it. Big ouch! I did go down a size and they fit otherwise and I don't have wide feet.

I have the 10" bean boots and wanted something quick and easy to get in an out of. These don't fit as much as a second skin and seem very heavy for a pair of shoes that can effectively fall off your foot if too heavy.

Actually forgot I had these. Order a new slip on boot that are to big even though I sized down. While I was trying on new ones pulled out a bean box and the slip ons were there. Thought why haven't I been wearing these and put them on and out into the rain I went. By the time I got home I realized why, where the string comes around the shoe and laps over kills the sides of my feet. Checked receipt in box and I'm past my return allowance or I'd take them back along with the to big slip ons. Thought about changing strings to see if that would help.

I originally ordered a size 10, as that is the size I use for my other shoes, and it was way too big. I returned them and asked for a 9. Still a little too big: I'll need to put sticker back things to put on the heel. The shoes need to come in 1/2 sizes. 8 1/2 would probably have worked well

They are very sturdy and should pretty much last me the rest of my life. The tongue/tie set up could use a lot of improvement. Especially since the heels are way too narrow and the only way to keep the heel from slipping is to tie them really tight.

Bean Boots bought to replace workhorse size 8 Bean Boots bought 30+ years ago. Even with heavy socks the size 8s swam on my feet. I returned for size 7: toe box better, size still too large. I spent $20 for insoles which help but the heel still gaps and foot slides. I'll have to spend more money for cushion inserts so I don't wear blisters. Sale price is eaten away.

I gave them a fair rating because of the quality, but I ordered a 9 several years ago, and they were too big and too wide. I thought I would give them to my daughter who is a 9.5 to 10 and they were big and wide on her. I thought I could pull the leather strings to tighten the width, but that didn't work either, even with socks. I guess I'm stuck with too big! If you are going to order, consider ordering a size down.

These seem to be well made but even going down a size they were too big and just didn't fit right.

They are just ok. They just don't fit me right, they are short, yet they want to fall off my feet, and they're super heavy. I do love the color blue and how the look though, but I doubt I will ever wear them.

Nice looking. My problem was that I should have ordered a size 5, but they don't come in that size. My feet, even with heavy socks slid around inside the shoe.

Sizes are ridiculously bad. And to send back 3 sizes at $6.50 return shipping per exchange is poor service for LL Bean. Once u get the correct size, shoes are great. Girlfriend can't wait for rain.

My first pair of mocs lasted me ten years- we lived in the mtns of NYS. They were so quick to get on and off. In 2019 I purchased a new pair and wear them only in the rain. ( we now live in NC). I am disappointed in the soles - the back heel has worn down 1/2 it's thickness. And parts of the sole are 'fading' away. I have never been hard on shoes and as I said, I had my first pair of mocs for 10+ years. I would appreciate your thoughts on why the soles are wearing down so quickly.

I live in California, so, you just know I need rain shoes! These are beautifully made and I was excited to receive them. BUT, they really, really don't fit: the toe box is too narrow, the heel (as other have said) is too wide, and, the tongue jabs me in the front of the ankle. Ouch. I guess they will fit some people, but, after walking five feet, they had to be taken off because they were painful to wear.

I normally wear a size 10.5 to 11 medium in women's shoes. Tried on a 10 med in the store. Too narrow in toe box. On the sales person's advice, I ordered 10 wide online. Huge! Now I'm returning the 10 wide pair and have ordered a 9 wide online. So frustrating. In the past these duck shoes always fit me. So: my advice is, be prepared to try on several sizes, and if you're buying online, order down as the description suggests.

The site warns they run large, but surprised how large. I did like the look and feel so have returned for exchange to a smaller size. I have not received the replacement

I wear a 9.5 women's shoe. I ordered the 10 and they were comically large. So I ordered the 9 - still slipping off my heels with winter socks. I guess it'll have to be an 8, I hope... Luckily I have a brick and mortar LLBean nearby for returns, but this could get pricey if not.
