I ordered the rose for a Christmas gift and a yellow shirt came. I kept it because it was too late to exchange before the holiday.

This shirt was perfect until I washed it (in cold water and did not dry in dryer). Unfortunately it seems to have shrunk and does not hang properly anymore. Very disappointed.

I actually got this for Christmas last year. Probably should have sent it back but for some reason I didn't. So I wore it and thought at least it's warm. The washing part was the real disappointment as it came out of the dryer in a wad. So I washed it again and then tumbled to remove excess water and hung it to dry. Not a fan if the stiffness. Still I persisted and finally it hung back in my closet. Next issue that came up was the pockets that seem to be everywhere and nowhere. I recently sewed a straight line across the pocket top securing it to the body of the shirt. It's on a hanger waiting to be worn and I have a feeling is destined to go to charity. Shame because I never ask for a shirt with that kind of price tag and usually LLBean is a longtime investment.

I wanted to like this shirt, but I really don't. First off, it's very hard to button (especially for older fingers) because the placket is so thick, and once buttoned it isn't straight because the buttons push the material out and it's wavy. It's very heavy hanging with huge pockets and is way too big in the waist.

I returned this Overshirt because the hip allowance was tight. I wear a Med (38"- bust) and a Hip of (44.5"). I could not button the button. Many women are PEAR shaped. This shirt is not for the Pear shaped woman. The shirt was also very heavy. I am used to a lighter weight jacket with warmth. The bust area was very roomy, good for layering but because it is styled for narrow hips I could not use the shirt. The fabric has a wovern affect but can rumple easily.

One of the reasons I got the shirt was because it had pockets, however they were useless because they were too far back. Shirt pockets needs to be redesigned. Sadly I returned it.

Love the style with two pockets but hate the material as it snags on everything. The colors are wonderful.

Nice weight layer wise but the pockets are oriented a little funny.

I loved the feel and quality of this shirt. I had read previous reviews regarding the size, so I decided to order a size down. The small fit great. I did feel that the color description was a bit misleading "washed orchid". To me it appears there is as much gold as there is orchid.

For the money spent I expected a better woven fabric, it's too loose. The " L.L. Bean Heritage Washed Twill Shirt Long Sleeve" was a perfect twill. Weave is tight and fabric soft. The Pattern and color is nice. But it's heavy and bulky and not warm. But not cool. /shrug Bought a medium and it's the same size as a relaxed fit small from 2019.

Nice-looking, heavy cotton shirt-jacket, good for many uses throughout the year. My only disappointment is that the shape is quite boxy due to having the side pocket go from the side seam to the middle part where there are buttons, buttonholes. I still like it enough to keep it.

First of all, the things I did like about this shirt: at 5'1" and 155 pounds, I found that the size large petite fit me well, even in the sleeve length and at the hips. This is not alway easy for me. I liked the color, and the two chest pockets were a selling point. Now the negatives. It's much too bulky and boxy to be worn as a shirt, so its best use would be as a warm overshirt (as advertised) or essentially a light jacket.. But if you wear it as an overshirt on cold days, because it's got a very coarse weave and is inexplicably not lined, any breeze or cold air goes right through it and it doesn't provide the cozy warmth you want from a flannel shirt. I also find the coarse weave to be unappealing visually, although the fabric Itself is soft enough. And it's hard to get the buttons through the awkward buttonholes. The final thing I don't like is the inside pockets, which are not actually pockets. They are just sewn-on pieces of lining that form a large, open pouch on each side of the shirt. All in all, I found this product disappointing and am going to return it.

This is a warm work shirt meant for chores or other outdoor activities. The seams were a little puffy but functional. Button holes are a little small for the buttons.

Too bulky. Heavy weight material. Collar and neckline very open, not tight to neck. Just not a comfortable shirt for me.

I love the selection of plaid shirts. Having bought two other styles, I fell in love with the coral color. Was so excited when I opened the package-the color was beautiful and vibrant. Then I saw the funky blue fabric making up clown sized pockets on the inside. A very strange concept to make pockets from a different material and color than the shirt. It did not look good so I unfortunately had to return it. I'm very sad as the color was beautiful.

I liked the thick and soft cotton twill fabric, just right for a second layer in cold weather. I did end up returning this shirt because it fit more like a shirt than a jacket, with the exception of the side pockets and the extra layer of pocket fabric beneath the front, which made the shirt a bit bulky. I might have kept this if it didn't have the side pockets and the tails were less curved.

Nice heavyweight fabric. Snags easy and then gets pulls. Hem did not remain flat after washing.

The colors are great. The fit is a bit challenging. The regular, small's sleeves were too long and bulky but the petite's length was a bit too short. But I kept it because the fabric is wonderful I'm 5'3

Out of the package, this overshirt fit well with a slightly relaxed fit. I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry but now it's too small both in length and around my body. It's useless to me but I still highly recommend it because it's well made and comfortable; just order up a size.

Love this flannel when I first opened it, so soft and I loved the heavy feel of the fabric. However after washing it wasn't so soft and it didn't fit near like I was hoping.
