This flannel is a classic, the color is pretty and rich the fit is as expected, and the look with jeans or leggins is "classic LLBean."

Very, very heavy shirt. Would be useful more as a jacket.

The 1912 over shirt is very heavy, made from a fabric with substantial heft. If was not what I expected and I returned if. I usually read reviews carefully before ordering but I missed any mention of its heft.
On a positive note the construction was excellent and it was true to size. If one is looking for an over shirt of this substantial weight, really more if a shacket than a shirt, this would work.

Comfy, pretty and feminine. It's very soft I got the cream with blue stripes. I wish it was more fitted. I even sized down and it was still a little boxy feeling. This definitely isn't a "plaid shirt" it's more like a light spring jacket (like a Shacket but sized like a flannel button up shirt). I keep this at my office as it's the perfect light cover up when I get chilly! Even with it being a little less fitted for my liking it's one of my favorite "on the go" quick grabs for comfortable but cute warmth!

Super comfortable and nice material. It's mid-weight so not meant for a really cold day - great for 40's and 50's. Relaxed fit and plenty of room. Pockets are kind of deep but other than than I really love this and have worn it several times already (only owned for about 2 weeks now).

I love it, would have given it all the stars but it gets caught & picks on everything. My proprioception isn't the best either. It's oversized & comfy, all the pockets. I wear it jacket-like. It did shrink a little but runs a little on the loose side. I'm 5'8, 170lbs. Ordered XL. Covers my hips & bum. I love the bold colors.

I'm in love with this flannel. It's really more of a cotton material, which I wasn't expecting, but I have really come to love it. It washes well, but I also don't dry it just in case! I'm 5'4", 145 pounds and ordered a medium. It's a little big but I love it that way so I can wear it over things, almost like a coat if I wanted.
The only complaint I have is that the material near the cuff got a hole in it after only a couple months. And since I don't dry it and wash it on gentle cycle, I expected it to really last longer. The color I bought is no longer made from what I can tell, so I can't return it for a new one.
Eventually the hole will get too large and I'll need to do something more "drastic" but for now, I'll keep wearing it 5 days a week ;)

Love this shirt but being a tall girl I have to order a bigger size for arm length. Still a little short!!

I love this shirt. I recently had cancer surgery and am starting heavy treatment. This has become my go-to cozy "comfy-shirt". The quality and construction are exceptional. Unfortunately, it pills everywhere the sleeves rub - front, sides, and sleeves. I shave it to keep it looking sharp. The fabric is beautiful. Unfortunately this happens sometimes. I just wish it didn't.

The cotton plaid fabric gives this shirt an old-fashioned look. I like that and I like the colors. But the large pockets are awkward. They are useless and affect the way the shirt hangs.

I was so excited when I saw this shirt because I can never find cute pink, purple, or green plaid. Love the pattern. Love that it it has large pockets. Love that the material feels thick and durable.
I got a size small, which falls perfectly on my shoulders and the sleeve length is just right. It's a tad bulky around the torso though; definitely unisex cut. The only way I've been able to style it so it looks good on me is like a cardigan, unbuttoned. I look a little frumpy if I tuck it, or button it, or wrap it closer to my body, or any combination thereof.

I love the shirt, but I was surprised that after washing and drying it needed to be ironed

I note some reviewers thought this shirt is a flannel shirt, and it is not. The description clearly states that it is a twill shirt. Love the texture and the patterns. I usually wear a regular XL, but ordered the plus 2x since I wanted it to be oversized to wear over t's or other shirts. However, it is a boxy cut in the torso, so it is large in that area, but the shoulders and sleeve length are perfect. I ordered 2 shirts and will keep them, but they are big for me. My concern is that if I returned and re-ordered my usual XL, the shoulders would be tight and the sleeve length too short. Hope this review helps someone decide which size to order.

Warm. Well made and thick. Definitely runs large. I would size down if looking for a good fit.

I consider this more of a jacket than a shirt because of the construction and the heavy rough/rugged material. But my usual size of petite large fit too closely to layer as a jacket and the yellow was a bit too bright for me anyway. I prefer my soft Bean flannels and chamois shirts, so decided to return this one. As always, appreciate Bean's generous and easy return policy. This just wasn't for me.

Love the feel of the jacket. The colored pockets inside are nice but the jacket can look strange when unbuttoned and the inside is seen (unlined).

I bought the same size that I wear in the Bean flannel shirts but this shirt barely buttoned with very long sleeves so changed it for an xlarge which is plenty big. Have had it on ( inside ) for about two hours and I noticed that it is getting pilly. Hope that resolces when it is washed or it will go back. Love the crean and white colot.

Nice yellow and white and blue shirt, but brown buttons detract from the look.

II like the shirt a lot. I would like it more if it were lined. Since it is presented as a jacket, a lining would keep the wind out.

A bit disappointing. I read all of the reviews and decided to get a xl regular. That being said, I think compared to the corduroy shirts, this is small. I will only wear this over a tank top, and it will never be layered with a heavier shirt. I am between a large and xl in most brands, but this is definitely, on the smaller side, especially in the chest. I will never put this in the dryer. The fabric is course, but it is very pretty.

Love the shirt. The fabric feels so good. Four stars because the sleeves run short as compared to the way it is pictured on the model. I bought two sizes kept the one that is really too big, but it gave me a bit more sleeve length.

It's a beautiful shirt but I did return it. It's heavier than I anticipated...something I really don't need living in AZ.
