Once I saw this shirt online, I kept thinking about it, it was so gorgeous (in the color cranberry). I decided I had to have it, but by the time I ordered it, XL was sold out, so I ordered L. It fits just fine! I think XL might have been too large. This shirt is so beautiful, it makes me happy to wear it. The colors are just absolutely gorgeous! I am so glad I ordered it!

This is fast becoming one of my favorite shirts. It comes out of the dryer ready to put on. It's soft and so cozy.

My height is 5 feet, weight 120 lb. Relying on the size chart, customer reviews, and past purchases from LL Bean, I purchased this shirt in Regular Medium/Burgundy. This is incredibly soft flannel. Prior to wearing, I laundered it according to care instructions. There was only slight shrinkage in sleeves and overall fit, but not enough to affect the fit. Good quality and nice change from more colorful plaid flannel shirts! Great with more colorful jeans or cords or pair with lighter vintage wash jean for understated look. Washes well but recommend short cycle low temp tumble dry (15min max) and hang to complete drying for no wrinkles and no shrinkageMy new favorite flannel shirt!

The textured cotton twill fabric in this shirt is unique to see and soft to wear. Described as flannel, it is lighter weight than what you may think of as flannel so if you're not typically a flannel shirt fan, you may still like this. Boxy fit, a bit oversized but not sloppy. For fit context, I'm 5'4 / 30D / 106# and typically wear a size 2 or XS in tops, and this fit for being extra roomy in the XS as I anticipated. If I could wave magic wand I'd shorten the sleeves by an inch but that is likely due to my shorter arms. I like the higher in front, lower in back cut and the little at the side seams. I chose the cream color with the big "plaid" stripes and I appreciate the quality of construction that matches them across the front placket and on the sides too. This color and pattern looks great with jeans. Launders well; cold water wash on delicate cycle, then tumbled dry for several minutes until still very damp, shook it out and hung it on big hanger to dry the rest of the way and it does not need ironing.

WHEN I TRIED THIS ON I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE IT OFF! SO AMAZINGLY SOFT! BEWARE!.....SIZE UP! I NORMALLY WEAR A MEDIUM AND I GOT A LARGE IN THIS SHIRT. FITS WELL. I READ A LOT OF THE REVIEWS THAT SAID IT SHRINKS SO I ALLOWED FOR THAT. ALSO IT'S SLIGHTLY FITTED. I'LL BE OK IF IT SHRINKS A LITTLE OR IF IT DOESN'T. LOVE THE COLORS OF THE "TOASTED COCONUT". HOPE IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME. I CONFESS I LOVE IT SO MUCH I JUST GOT ANOTHER ONE IN THE PORT COLOR. I MAY MAKE THIS SHIRT A X-MAS GIFT OR TWO! HOPE TO FIND ONE FOR MEN.

Definitely size up in this shirt. I usually wear SM and ordered a MD and LG. I chose the MD. Perfect slightly loose fit on MD but cannot withstand any shrinking. Will wash in cold and hang dry. I also noticed the notch or bump in the shoulder area (as other people noted). It is actually more toward the back of shoulder; it puckers for some reason. Have not worn it since I washed it so hoping it smooths out. Shirt is very soft, and I love the Marine Blue color. Do not expect LLB "flannel", because this is different. It is lighter and a bit airier than normal flannel. I still love it and love the boxy, shorter cut with same length all the way around!

Super soft flannel with absolutely gorgeous colors! This sturdy shirt is even prettier in person. This is my first true flannel shirt, so I can't compare it to other LL Bean flannels, but the shirt feels warm and will be great for layering. I am 5'7" with narrow shoulders and typically wear a small in tops. This shirt fits true to size for me without being overly tight. It also hits right at my hip so I can tuck the shirt in or wear with leggings. I will definitely be back for more colors/patterns!

I was hoping the colors would not disappoint, and they did not! I like the feel of this and plan to layer with a T under and vest over that I can take on and off layers as necessary. Reviews were all over the place. But I love it and sizing is true to LL Bean standards.

This shirt becomes softer with each wash. My second one in this style, I do like it and do recommend it. I sized up because it does shrink a little bit.

I already had one of these in the Saphirre plaid from 3 seasons ago. This pine green plaid is stunning. I am truly an XXS . Signature changed and no longer offers that size. The shirt is a little large in my delicate frame I plan to wear it over a crew neck cotton tee and belted over high waisted strait leg jeans. It is too much fabric to tuck into pants. High quality item.

This is a beautiful and soft shirt. I ordered the Deep Port color in size small and it fits very well. It is not tight nor boxy; it is slightly shaped and flattering. I am 5'3" 109lbs. I like to wear this open over a long sleeve shirt. I like the deep, rich color and that the lines of the plaid are thin, making this particular design almost read as a solid (the port color is more dominant) and yet it is still a plaid. It is a nice weight; neither thick nor flimsy. It is soft and very comfortable. I also like that it looks feminine. I feel that sometimes LLBean's women's plaids, mid-weight, and thicker weight shirts are designed in such a way as to make women look like they're dressed like the guys and headed out on a camping trip. I want to wear a soft plaid shirt with jeans and cute boots around town, and not look I'm joining lumberjacks in the woods. Please offer more feminine button down shirts! This one in deep port meets that perfectly!
