Nice coat, but not as warm as I thought it would be. I thought with the fleece lining it would be warmer. Luckily in VA we only have a few really cold days. The stitching is nice and doesn't make you look larger.

I really like this jacket and find it flattering. It is light, but warm enough for cooler temps. I only wish it had a small zippered breast pocket for cash/keys! I could have probably sized up to wear over thicker sweaters/sweatshirts, but it's been fine so far this season.

The coat is warm and has a nice cut and a good length. Keeps out the wind. I wish the sleeves had adjustable cuffs instead of elastic cuffs. I would recommend.

I think the coat is great, but runs small, especially if you want to wear a thick top under it. I had confidence in my order as I have ordered other clothing here. Began return process and then discovered that LL Bean is charging me $6.50 to return. This policy will deter me from ordering other clothing.

I love this coat. It has better features than a similar i got from LLBean a few yrs ago. It is a bit longer, which is a plus. It is warmer with the fleece lining. The zipper is easier to use than it's predecessor's, which is great!
My only complaint, and this applies to most of The LLBean clothing, is the prominent display of The LLBean name. I bought this coat in black, so I got out a permanent black ink marker and applied it carefully to The LLBean stitching to help it camouflage in with coat.
Before I retired, there were lots items I could not wear to work because of having the LLBean name so prominent. I am absolutely not ashamed to wear your brand and readily let folks know it's from your company, if I get a compliment. FYI I have asked around with my peers and they feel the same as I do.
What say you?!?

Very nice coat. Fleece lining looked very plush! Unfortunately the fit is a little snug in the hip area. Returned coat; although it does look like a nice transition piece winter to spring

I like the style but was too bulky and stiff for me.

I really liked this coat. It's lightweight - great for driving. I got the Burgundy, which was really pretty. Unfortunately, the arms are not quite long enough for me & it was tight across the upper back when I put my arms forward. I am 5'10" and weigh 153 lbs. I got the Medium. With my arms by my side, the sleeves were OK. But when I moved around or put my arms out straight, they were simply too short. That is the only reason for my 4 stars. I may try to order a Large, but I'm afraid it will be too baggy. The Medium fit me perfectly through the torso area. I wish LL Bean made jackets/coats in Tall for us tall women. They offer Tall in some of the men's, but I haven't seen any in the women's.

I am 5'10" and weigh 153 lbs. I ordered this coat in medium, and while the fit through the torso with a lightweight layer underneath was perfect, it was tight across the back when I reached forward & the sleeves weren't long enough when I moved around. That is the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars. I had to send it back. I love the coat, though. I got it in the Burgundy, which I thought was a really nice color. I am going to re-order it in size Large to see if the sleeves are maybe slightly longer. I wish LL Bean would offer women's coats in Tall for those of us who could use the extra length in the arms.

I love the fit, length, style and hood of this jacket. However, the arms are not insulated like the rest of the coat therefore requiring an added layer for warmth on colder days (30-40 degrees), which is disappointing. I feel this coat is not worth $200, even as much as I like it.

Bought an XL and it is snug in the body and arms. LL Bean L and XL have always worked for me, this was disappointing. I have an old Bean coat from 1987 that I still wear, expected similar fit.

I did really like the way this fit. The problem was it is not warm enough for winter. Certainly not in upper peninsula Michigan.

A little tight in the upper arm area, otherwise the coat was fine.

I like the coat but wish you could detach the hood. I haven't had it to try in cold weather so I cannot say yet if it does what I hope it will.

Love this coat! You may need to size up because of the fleece lining. I only gave this four stars because I ordered it in the green and would've preferred a darker fleece lining so that your makeup doesn't show up on the light colored fleece constantly requiring more washing. L. L. Bean should've thought this out a bit better.

This jacket is very flattering for someone, even plus sized with an apple shape. I live in a cold rainforest. This keeps me dry and draft free when the rains come, and the winds start howling on my night walks. It's easy to slide on. The hood is nice and roomy. My one complaint (the reason I take away 1 star) is that the fit from armpit to armpit across the back is very tight compared to everywhere else. I'm a busty woman, but I have plenty of room in front, yet the armpit and across the back is tight. It's bizarre and it doesn't allow for a lot of breathing room for my underarms which can make the underarms feel a bit stuffy. I still wear it because it's so flattering and keeps me dry and warm.

It is 90 degrees here. I can not write a review when I have not had a chance to wear the coat!

This coat is warm and comfortable in chilly weather. I appreciate the hood too. I wish the coat was a bit looser to permit a thick layer to be worn under it, and to keep it from bunching up when I wear it in the car.

This coat is very warm and still is pretty lightweight. My only complaint is the back falls in a weird way- possibly due to my short stature.

I recently bought this coat and so far I like it a lot. It's very comfortable and cozy. The mineral blue is pretty--like a soft teal. Our winter is quite mild, but because the coat warms me so quickly I think it would work well in a colder climate. It's attractively fitted but helpfully has room for layering. I haven't washed it yet but expect that to go well. Suggestion: put a little, soft, padded piece where the zipper end meets the front of one's neck. I mainly wear this coat inside our home, because it's often not cold enough to turn on the furnace but this wraps me in pleasant warmth in chilly early mornings. I also like the sturdy, smooth, top-down/bottom-up zipper, and the generous pockets and hood. If this is helpful, I am 5'8", 128 lbs., and 74 years old.

It is a lovely coat too warm for me. I returned it and bought a similar style coat at beans which did not have a fleece lining. I like to have layering options. Love the one I kept.

This is a very nice coat. I had been looking for a lighter weight, non-down coat in a longer length for a while and finally decided on this one ( the hardest part was deciding on a color). I have washed it once and it came out looking great. It's warm enough for getting in and out of the car to run errands or for going on short walks, even on cold days. But I can not give it a 5-star rating because of the zipper. Although the 2-ways zipper is great, it is often hard to get the zipper to align at first (I am worried that the zipper might not last). Minor quibbles: I wish the pockets were lined with the same soft fleece as the inside of the coat and it would have been really nice to include an inside zip pocket.
