This is the best Chicago coat! It's great in rain, wind and snow, perfect for late fall and winter months when it's not super freezing. Go get it! It's great!!

I am not surprised that LL Bean has sold out of most sizes and colors for this coat! I purchased the XL Coat in burgundy and am extremely happy with my purchase! It is a very comfortable coat, moves easily as I am out and about doing errands, in and out of the car. Excellent weight and warmth for that type of activity. I wanted to buy another color.... So LL Bean, please purchase more inventory!!

Reviews said it was a little snug in the shoulders. I ordered a size up and am happy I did. So comfortable and warm. Long enough and keeps the cold out. Not waterproof, but keeps me dry.

Thank you Bean team for putting this item together. First, I got the spruce pine color, accurate to online photo. Second, the coat has some weight to it, not feather weight but not heavy either. Third, the princess seams are flattering and is slightly tapered at the waist. More, coat is a good inch longer on the back, slightly rounded hem. The sleeves do not have the fleece lining. Hood is tidy. For comparison sake these are the measurements on the XL Reg when laying flat. Chest, 24" across under the arm, Length at the back 361/2", Shoulder seam at back yoke 171/2", sleeve width at underarm seam 81/2". At 5'6" the coat falls above my knee about 5". I have been looking for a coat like this for awhile. Good job design team. Too soon to comment about the warmth factor. Don't hesitate, buy now. One more note, the LLBean logo is small, embroidered on the left chest in small matching thread color letters, it's there but doesn't distract from the look of the coat.

Its warm but light weight. Glad I bought it, just right for this transitional time of year. Zipper works great too which is a real plus these days!

Have used this jacket for a few weeks and I'm satisfied. Love the big hood, zippered pockets and it is warm enough for me. It does look frumpy.

I adore these lined primaloft coat, jackets and vests. In fact, I've ordered all three - and some in various colors. They are warm, light weight and comfortable. Keeps me warm in temps over 30 degrees. I would have given this product 5 stars across the board - except that the sizing is not consistent between the coat, jacket and vest. I've had to return and reorder sizes because they did not match the measurements of previously ordered items. For example - I ordered the jacket first and the fit was perfect - so I ordered the vest and coat in the same size - only to find they were too small. I recommend ordering up a size if you have the jacket and want the coat or vest. If you have the coat or vest - and want the jacket - I'd order down a size. Hope this helps someone out there

I like the coat a lot it looks nice on. It is lightweight but keeps me warm. The reason I gave it 4 stars is sometimes I have trouble getting it zipped up.

I like the coat. It is very lightweight. I wish it had a zippered or inside pocket for my wallet and phone.

I like this coat, except I miss the extra pocket inside & the hood should have a way to pull it back off the face. I can't see when wearing it! I do like that it's warm...

size up! I bought a true to size L and cannot fit any layers under. im 5'10" and about 180lbs and wish I had bought an XL for more room, otherwise it fits perfectly. im also a bit miffed that an LL Bean coat that costs this much DOESNT HAVE an interior pocket. wish I had returned, but missed the window. its a fine coat and the hood is nice.

This is a lovely coat, but it is fleece lined. I wear fleeces all winter for casual wear, and I didn't like the feel of wearing fleece over fleece. Otherwise, I would have kept the coat.

Great warm and cozy coat for winter. Though bulkier than expected, you are sure to find it to be a fashionable choice for your everyday attire.

Looking to replace an older coat and this fit the ticket. Mid thigh length is nice for casual or more formal occasions. I like the cinch hood feature and the light fleece lining. Launders nicely. The only thing missing is an inside pocket for your phone or other items

The Fleece-Lined Primaloft Coat is a really good coat. It's just about right in its ability to hold warmth in and repel water. Not thrilled with its fit. In my opinion it's styled for slim women. I'm not overweight but I do have "curves" and it's snug on my "curves."

Great fit with the exception of the arms. The body of the jacket allows for thicker clothing underneath but the arms to too tight. Other than that, the jacket is perfect!

I returned this because it was snug in the hips, but it seems like a good coat I also wanted one w storm flap snaps.

This is a pretty coat & I like the material and lining. It seemed to run a little large - maybe to accommodate a couple of layers of clothing. It has a matching plastic zipper. I could not unzip the coat. The reason I ordered this coat was to replace a jacket with a zipper that didn't work most of the time. At least that zipper was metal. I'll donate this coat.

I had a hand-me-down L.L. Bean parka that was an extra small and a little snug, so I ordered this coat in medium, thinking that would be safe. It was just as snug as the parka, mainly around the underarms and the belly. So, I exchanged for a large, and it fits well and looks nice. One note about the stitching for the quilted pattern: it's delicate. A relative's dog is a jumper, and the stitching in front frayed a little after only a couple run-ins with dog paws. The coat is fairly warm. I survived single-digit temperatures, though an extra layer would have been appropriate.

I was looking for a new winter coat, but ended up returning this one. It is a good coat, well made, nicely fitting, and an attractive color. However it just wasn't warm enough for the miserably cold weather this year. If I had wanted a new spring/fall coat, I'd have been delighted with it.
