Will get me through temps in the 40's, but need something warmer in colder weather

Nice coat and fit. Not as warm as I wish, but good for transitional seasons here in Nebraska. Winters apparently mandate use of "warmest" outerwear. Quality as always is excellent.

This coat is light weight but very warm. It is exactly what I was looking for for the winter and I love the color! I am a size 2X and it fits me perfectly. Thanks for such a nice product.

love, love, love this coat - it's my second one - purchased the first one a few years back in black - standouts - warm without being bulky - can fit t-shirts & sweatshirts underneath - (no problem) - perfect for outdoors - errands, walking, etc. - elastic around the sleeves is also a nice feature - but, the best thing about this coat is that it covers your bottom - (awesomeness) - without being too long - p.s. dark cinder color is pretty

I needed a light but warm jacket for the winter and this jacket has been perfect. Warm enough for the extra cold days and light enough to commute with on the train (where it's too hot for a heavy coat). I also love the big pockets in this coat - again great for commuting. The lining is soft and comfy.

I live in SC, so I do not need a heavy winter coat. But it does still get cold! My other coat is waist length, which looked ridiculous if I was wearing a long sweater, which I often do. This coat covers my sweater up! This coat would be good for above 30 degree temps, I believe. I am 5ft 2, 135 pounds. I got the large so I had room for my long sweaters. This is a good size for me. LL bean did not have petite in the color I wanted, so the regular sleeves are too long, but it has elastic on the sleeve cuff so it works great. Love the brown color.

I purchased this coat one month ago and I am so thankful I did. It is comfortable, warm, and attractive; I know it is durable because LL Bean products are just that.

Light weight but warm . Love the color . Great pockets n two way zipper . Hood stray up in wind . Washes well I wanted a coat that was a little longer for warmth n this is a perfect length for me.

I took advantage of the sale and bought this jacket just about a month ago and it's become my everyday go to jacket. The lining is cozy and, while it's not considered rain gear, the exterior material is great in light rain and wind - love it!!!

Great jacket for the fall and light winter days. Not designed for 32 and below. If you are looking for a really warm coat look for the lightweight down jacket.

I just got my coat today and oh my gosh it is better than I expected. Fits beautifully! I am 5'7" and 160 lbs and got a regular large. It is lightweight but so warm and the fleece inside is sweet! The length is high thigh, but definitely long enough. I obviously am very happy!

This coat was a gift. It fits well!! Love the length. Keeps me nice and warm. The elastic around the wrists keeps snow etc from going up my sleeves. And this winter that is good with all the snow we have had. The wind has been strong for long periods of time and the hood has been very handy to keep me dry n warm. Love this coat!!!

Great jacket for running around town doing errands when temperatures are in the 40s

I bought this coat in December and love it. It is a medium weight coat that is sufficiently long to keep your torso warm. It is very light weight and comfortable. I like it for around town use as it is not so bulky or hot that you can run into the grocery store and you don't roast to death. It is comfortable in the car. It is great for dog walking. Dog hair does not stick to it - yay! The hood is big enough to keep your face dry from precipitation. It is the first coat in the closet that you want to grab. The only thing that might be an issue is that it is cut a little on the slim side. I weigh between 132-135 lbs, am 5'6" and purchased a medium. It fits me fine but would not be perfect with a really bulky or heavy sweater. Also, it you are full hipped, you might want to go up a size. I don't really think this is a coat for playing sports in but rather for a relaxing day.

I bought this coat in November in brown and am so delighted with it. It is very warm even on blustery New York City winter days and is also fashionable. I get compliments on it all the time. The hood fits well and really does the job without flattening my hair. The pockets are deep and hold a cell phone comfortablyand have zippers for extra security. Just love it.

The coat really meets my needs and looks great on. The silhouette is flattering, even though I have an apple shape. I needed something to wear when my usual down jacket seems a little too casual. The cost, which I bought in black, will be perfect for those occasions. Changing the type and color of a scarf or turtleneck sweater, gloves, etc. can give it just about any look or any occasion. That being said, I read the reviews carefully and agree that it is is not particularly warm. The fleece lining does help add warmth, but it's nowhere near the warmth of any down outerwear.It's the kind of thing you'd wear from the car into a restaurant, or with a very warm light sweater underneath. That's fine with me. It does everything I wanted to do.

I Love this coat. Perfect fit I ordered petite it's perfect. Deep pockets and the hood covers your head nicely. Can't believe I waited so long to purchase. I have several LL bean products love the colors and the quality .

Love this coat, but on days when temperatures are below 50 Fahrenheit I wish I had bought one of the Warmest coats LLB offers. If I had room inside the coat to wear both a thick sweater AND a fleece vest, that would be better.
