Lots of pockets, love this vest! Super warm!

I love this vest! Lots of pockets with an inside breast pocket that fits my phone without it being so deep that it's cumbersome to get out or falls out. It looks good for the office and a night out to Saturday morning at the farmers' market. I purchased the coffee bean but will also be purchasing a black and loden when my size is in. It is a go to vest as not too bulky to wear under a jacket on colder days. Thanks LLBean!

I bought a large the first time around. Too small and I usually wear a Large with Bean clothes. I was so disappointed but the nice person at Bean talked me on to trying the XL. I did and love it! Im Al.ost sorry winter is winding down in NH! Comfy, looks good, and warm!

In winter, I like to wear vests rather than bulky coats, and this vest is the BEST. It is roomy, as other reviews have mentioned, but that suits me fine. I have one in medium that I like a great deal, but the large just suits me. The vest is warm, with soft pocket liners. And the look is very Barbour for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend this vest!

I loved this vest, it was very well made but hugeeeee. I am 5'5 120lbs and I ordered a XS and I was swimming in it. I don't feel like it was true to size for sure size down. I was contemplating keeping it just because it is an amazing beautiful vest, true to color, and amazing texture but in the end I had to return.

I love this vest! It fits comfortably and is perfect. If u don't want to zip it u can snap a few snaps instead!

I love this vest for all my outdoor activities. I hunt in it and ice fish in it. It's very warm.I love the four pockets, especially the two up high ones which are very deep. The vest is roomy which allows for a big puffy down underneath so size down if you want it more fitted. Very durable and well made. If I get fish slime on it, I wipe it down, easy to clean. I have not had any zipper problems that others seem to discuss.

This vest was perfect for my trip to Ireland. It held up to days of wear through "driving mist" and general dampness, punctuated by moments of sunshine. Never felt too warm and I never had a problem with it getting damp or soaked through. I'm not sure about the complaints about pocket size. You don't need to stretch your hand out in the warmer pockets, but rather ball them up a little to keep warm. The outside pockets were good for a cell phone in between photos, and the inside pocket was useful when I wanted to leave my purse behind but still carry a small wallet. Rather bulky for traveling, but I was usually wearing it rather than packing it, and it smushed pretty well in my suitcase for the trip home.

This vest is warm and stylish. I am very pleased with it.

Fabric, fit and construction are superb. Quality is consistent with the waxed cotton outerwear offered by British designer brands.

Really like this piece, I was torn between this one and a similar vest from Eddie Bauer. The EB one had a detachable hood with faux fur and it was cute; this one seemed to be better quality in terms of fabric, finishing/stitching, and weight. EB one was not bad but when compared side by this this was the winner. Fits true to size. The only thing I don't like is the pockets - really bad design. The "angled" pockets where you would normally put your hands, sit right at the waist. Awkward placement and not comfortable (puts the shoulders in tension). There are 2 additional pockets with flaps (that close with snaps) in the typical pocket area - but with the flaps, these stick out somewhat and look awkward. While I appreciate the extra pockets, I would have preferred the angled hand pockets be located where the flap pockets are, and just use a breast pocket as the extra. Still a very nice vest, very pleased with the quality, and I give this an overall "thumbs up" recommendation.

Warm vest for cool to cold days that is roomy enough to fit over sweaters and flannel shirts. I normally wear a medium but the small fits better. A little thicker than my light down vests but a lot warmer and looks very nice. Wipes clean easily. Ordering another color this year as I enjoy not wearing a coat if possible and this vest kept me warm on cold days.

This vest is actually made for women!!!! It has shape to it and it doesn't look like you're wearing a puffy tube around your chest. The front has darts and curved seams around the breast area which flatter the female figure. It makes for a great outer layer with a tee shirt and flannel shirt layered. I plan on wearing this in lieu of a jacket or coat when I can. I ordered the M, and decided to return it for a L, so layering would be more comfortable. I got the Dark Khaki, and it's a beautiful goldish brown green color, a nice neutral. The corodory trim (dark brown) on the collar is beautiful and makes this vest a very stylish piece for my wardrobe. I'm glad I order it, and this vest is now one of my favorite go to pieces.

I like my new vest. I particularly like: (1) upper pockets that are handy and warm (2)dual zipper that can be opened from top & bottom I am 5'1, 100lb and size S is a perfect fit. I can wear sweater underneath comfortably, and because of its length, it keeps me toasty during my long walks. This vest is just what I expected. Except the color; it's actually 'ocher' rather than khaki. I like it OK because it's a rich color that goes with wider variety of colors. I have a LLBean short nylon down vest that I have been wearing for 25 years. Together they add joy to my daily walk in cold winter, fall and spring.

This vest is exactly what I needed, warm and well designed. Plenty of pockets - love the inner-chest pocket for my cell phone. Nicely styled with a little shape. Wish it was just a tad bit longer. The Loden color is almost back which is fine with me. Would have preferred the brown, but it was backordered into the summer. Not helpful.

Well made, heavy weight vest. I wear a size 12 and bought the large. I can wear a thick sweater or a Henley with sweatshirt under this. A Henley with a fleece is a bit snug. This is a very heavy duty vest with heavy duty zipper, interior pocket, warm fleece lined pockets. It does add bulk, but not too much for the warmth it provides. I am a little put off by the spot clean only deal as I would like to use this for hiking and sport purposes. This vest looks cool with a utility vibe. Not a dressy item

This is a fantastic vest. Extremely warm and comfortable. It doesn't have as much shape as I would like (a little bit more of a waist would have been really nice) but it wasn't so boxy that I returned it - it does have a slight shape to it. I'm also tall (5'11"), so I was worried it would be too short, but it's not at all. If you want a more fitted vest, make sure you order a size down. I usually get a S, but ordered an XS so it would be a closer fit. This vest is VERY warm - perfect for a New England fall. Highly recommended!

Perfect for walking the dog early in the morning when there is just a chill. The best part plenty of pockets for necessities, such as keys, cell phone and of course dog treats!!!

Love the vest. Very well made. I usually wear a size 14 and have a 31'' waist. I originally ordered the Large but it was tight! I had to return it for the XL. So my advise is to size up one size:)

This seems like a very well-made product. It's substantial and looks good on. Very nice stylying. I really wanted a black vest, and called LL Bean to ask about the color of this because although the color name is "coffee bean" (which means brown to me) it looks black on my laptop monitor and on my phone. I called customer service before ordering and they said it's brown and black together, which didn't really help me visualize it, so I ordered it anyway. Unfortunately, it's brown. It's a very dark brown, but nevertheless it is brown. It would probably look more black if the corduroy trim on it was not a lighter shade of brown. It just doesn't work for me, as I need a black vest. But I'm impressed with the quality. Because it is waxed cotton, it does leave kind of an odd feel on the hands after touching it, but I guess that's the nature of waxed cotton. It might run a little large; I've recently lost weight and didn't know what size worked for me, so I ordered a L and an XL. I was able to get into the L with a snug fit, even though I'm probably still truly and XL. If they had this in black, I'd keep it, but I am sending it back and looking for a different vest.

Vest is stiff, n heavier than it looks. Pricey. Not as cute as I thought. Might work out for autumn travels. Definitely not roll up n pack. Will see

It fits but kind of funny, can't explain it. I'm keeping it because it's a quality piece. I feel like I should be working outside in it instead of just wearing it for warmth.

This vest is excellent for keeping warm and a great layering piece to own. I do wish it was shaped a bit more for a female form, the hips area is a little tight when fully zipped but if I sized up it would be too loose around the waist and bust. The color is a dark roasted coffee bean brown, it can appear black from far away especially if you aren't wearing any black with it. The color and gold buttons make this vest look very luxurious. The waxed cloth is a stiff sturdier fabric and the vest is weighty. All the pockets are a delight but really only the side pockets are most useful since the front pockets are a bit too small for gloves or a phone and awkwardly placed for every day use anyway. They're more for looks and the event you need to throw a Chapstick or tissue in a pocket and you don't want it to fall out (the snap button in the front is great for keeping small things in the pocket).
