Fantastic vest. I needed a new vest for the fall and early winter months. I have multiple other LL bean products and knew I wanted a vest from here. Highly recommend. Material is high quality and the fit is just right.

I purchased this vest a very long time ago and have loved it. I thought it was time to update it and love it even more. The fabric is beautiful, it is nice and warm for NE spring and fall and it has lots of pockets. Great for dog walks.

After purchasing the upcountry Waxed Jacket I was able to find this Waxed Vest. I love the both items. This vest is so warm and not cumbersome. You can dress it up or dress it down all the while not feeling overwhelmed with bulk. It has all the pockets that you need without worrying that your items will fall out.

Love this vest over a fisherman sweater. It is warm and well made. Just wish it had an inside pocket. Great to wear when traveling wheb you dont want to wear a bulky jacket.

Sturdy, stylish and warm. Perfect for autumn and spring over a sweater or light jacket. It will still be perfect a decade from now.

I looked at this vest several times and finally took the plunge. It's pricey, but I am always cold and wear vests much of the time to keep my core warm indoors or out. I love this vest! It is all I expected and more. It looks great and has plenty of pockets, including an interior pocket. I will not buy vests that don't have an interior pocket, and all of my LLBean vests DO have them. I own close to a dozen LLBean vests, and this has become a favorite. For comparison, I am 5' 6" and weigh 117#. Small vests would fit, but I always buy Medium to accommodate multiple layers.

Gift for granddaughter, who will wear it for equestrian activities, as well as when ever she is awake.

Love this vest! It says waxed cotton but it is not sticky like other waxed cotton garments. It is warm and I have more arm freedom than with a coat. Arm scythe is large enough to fit my bulky irish knit sweaters without pinching. Nice pockets but the hand pockets are not very deep. Just a matter of adjusting expectations. I am overall very happy with this purchase. Perfect for New Hampshire Fall and Winters.

May be a bit stiff at first, but quickly breaks on. Roomy enough for a sweater underneath. Soo good looking and warm!

I am returning this vest only because my neck is too short for the height of the collar. :( Otherwise, this vest is incredibly well-made and designed. Materials are top notch and the zipper is a double and reversible, so that you can leave it open at the bottom. The pockets are compact, but the entry is both from above and from the side. The best jackets have that double pocket feature. If I had the torso and neck length to match the vest, I would certainly keep this. It's a garment that will last years. By the way, for fit, I wear size 4 in tops and jackets and purchased an XS in this. It was the right size. I think a size small, as recommended, would have been too large, considering that the fabric and construction are thick.

Great vest. I love the high pockets for keeping my hands warm. I ordered a large I normally take a medium. It was perfect for over a sweater.

My Bean's Upcountry Waxed Cotton Down Vest Women's Regular arrived this afternoon with chill in the air, so I zipped it on and love it! Sturdy, but light weight. This is an item that will come out of the closet every fall! LL Bean got the fit and styling right on this vest. I love the 2 way zipper when I sit and relax to watch the sunset. Now, I hope the one, I ordered, for hubby, will come sooner than the backorder date. I want him to have the same cozy, comfortable experience all winter!

This vest is very nice. It's a great dark olive color with nice detailing and is not too thick or bulky. It looks very cute with sweaters or shirts, and I will use it a lot this Fall.

I really like this vest. I've read a few complaints about the zipper & the size of the pockets but the zipper on mine glides like butter, no problems. Pockets could be a wee bit larger but the size of the pockets wouldn't stop me from keeping the vest as they're ok. Only issue I have is I think I should have ordered a small instead of a medium, but will wait for a small & compare. I do want room to layer underneath.
