Altho this IS called Wild Orchid, the picture sure looks like pink, which is what I wanted. I still the the shirt, so will keep it.

Color not as expected--disappointed I had hoped for a genuine chamois shirt, not a flannel

The Heritage Chamois Shirt is 100% brushed cotton that provides soft comfortable warmth. This chamois shirt material is not as thick, or as heavy and stiff found in traditional chamois cloth which earned the rating of just average. A true classic chamois cloth is very thick while soft it is strong and durable. This style of chamois shirt runs small and tight across the shoulders and chest. I sized up into Plus which is always too big, but in this case the fit it perfect for me. Highly recommend sizing-up at least one size for a better overall fit. The dusty rose color is very pretty. Recommend line drying only as this fabric will shrink and cotton fibers will end up in your dryer vent.

It is a wonderful shirt. I bought a tank in the same color to make polished look and added chambray jeans but a deeper shade of orchid or mauve jeans could give a whole new look .

I absolutely love the previous version of these shirts. They are almost an every day wear item for me but I lost some weight and needed to get some smaller ones so I purchased the one I'm reviewing. First I picked the Barley colored one and the pocket flaps just looked wrong. They were slightly different measurements from one side to the other and the different angles just stuck out. Otherwise the shirt fit great! I returned it and by then there was a navy one in stock so I bought it. Same issue! I really needed a replacement shirt so I'm keeping this one but it feels like I paid premium price for a "second". My husband didn't notice the difference just at a glance and strangers probably won't look that close but be forwarned.

The color of this shirt is beautiful. It's a washed-out mauve or a dusty rose, and it's my favorite color. However, it's not seen so much in apparrel any more. The color is the only reason I purchased it. The downside is that I've never liked Chamois shirts. They're stiff and uncomfortable, and no matter how often you launder them they never soften up to where you'd like them to be. If the color of this shirt instead was a flannel shirt, it would be a shirt made in heaven.

The fabric is very stiff. I was expecting a soft, thinner fabric.

Not as carefully tailored as one I got a few years ago. Buttonholes very tight. I returned it.

The color is absolutely stunning. So attractive. I live in NJ and winters are not terribly cold. So, I like to wear it when I go out at night to visit with friends at the local bar/restaurant. Casual and colorful. I wish the style was less square and slightly more form fitted since I am only 115 lbs. I have only washed this shirt a few times and I tend to let it dry on the rack rather than in the dryer. The fabric looks very old and has lost it's attractive appearance. it has a rough looking appearance like it's starting to pill and it's losing it's smooth-looking appearance and I never use fabric softener. The fabric seems to be looking thin and less soft. After a few more washings I do not believe that I will wear this shirt out of the house. It doesn't look as nice as my other LL Bean shirts after multiple washes.

It seemed like it fit well until I tried to move my arms forward. Driving was painful and one handed. The back was cut too narrow. I'm sad as I really want a chamois shirt.

It's a great shirt/jacket but much too heavy and stiff for me. I have two first rate flannel shirts from LLB that I purchased over 10 years ago that I love. Wish they would bring that less bulky version back. I returned this one.

Washed it according to the directions and after it was dried it had faded like I'd had for a long time. I was hoping to have it keep the color a lot longer. It's heavy weight and it keeps you warm. The style it nice and the fit is great.

I only give 3 stars because the fit was weird. Usually a 1X in LLBean's tops is perfect for me. I ordered this in a 2X and it was tight across the shoulders. I liked the fabric and color.

I loved the idea of a soft warm shirt, so ordered the Heritage Chamois shirt. The Rich Red color is a perfect true red, not too blue, not too yellow and no grey in it. Very soft hand/surface of the fabric, but it is so stiff and inflexible, I don't think I'd want to wear it. Also, I ordered Petite Large, and shoulder seams are at least 11/2" too wide on each side, sleeves very long, with tight cuffs, and shirt length is quite long. Returning and won't reorder now, but will watch for resized chamois shirt in future. In this red.

Fits great; well constructed; good color; poor qualify of fabric. These shirts used to get softer with each wash. This one just pills. Cheap, cheap, cheap fabric.

The fit was good on this shirt but the fabric is very stiff. I have tried washing it but it is still stiff. I am hoping with some wear it will soften up. It was advertised as being soft but it is not.

A bit disappointed with this purchase of a second chamois shirt. Am noticing more and more "pilling" with this shirt with each successive wear. I had this same issue with one that I purchased previously, but not to this extent - and this happened despite my laundering specifically as directed by labeling on the shirt. :(

The chamois shirt is warm and quality material. The colors are nice. I have the coral, which is pretty. However, I bought a Large and the cut didn't work for my body type. It is slightly big in the shoulders, but so tight on the bottom that I can't bottom the last button. This isn't typically a problem for me in my regular size with other shirts. Due to the sizing issue, I wear it open like a shacket.

I received this shirt today, and it looked good. The weight is substantial, and it appears to be well-made. BUT, now I know why the "rich red" is on sale. There is way too much orange in it. It really should be listed as red-orange. I do not know about the sizing because I did not bother to try it on. The site will not allow me to leave the fit information blank.

I usually fit in LLBean M or L. I got a large to be on the safe side. It was way too small. It fits really tight. The quality is great!

Fit is good. Not grossly oversized at the hips like many plus size shirts. They are heavy. Heavier than I would prefer to be worn in the house, more of an outdoor shirt.
