The parka is great in every way except for the zipper. It is somewhat difficult to zip it just does not glide nicely. I am concerned the zipper will not last.

I really like the quality and length of this coat! I do wish it had banded cuffs and not the button ones because it doesn't keep you as warm as it should in that regard. Also, I'd size down because it does run a little bit big... I am glad I got the small and not medium size which I typically get in general.

This is a great coat.. It is warm and it is comfortable in the car, not too bulky. I can wear a fleece underneath. The coat is a nice shade of navy. The downside is the snaps are small and difficult to snap up without effort. Also, I wish there was zippers on the pockets, and not snaps.

I think this coat is a really good value for the money. I ended up returning it because I wanted something longer and fell in love with the Maine parka, but this was really well made, fit perfectly, and very warm. If I could afford two coats I would have kept this :-).

I've been looking for a good quality warm winter coat for a while now. This seems to fit the bill for me. Nice fit with room to move. I like the longer length hitting me just above the knees. The only thing that could use improvement is the zipper. It does not move as smoothly as I'd like. Hopefully this will improve the more I wear it. I can't attest to the warmth yet as it has not been bitter cold yet. Very happy with this purchase.

I am happy with this purchase. It feels like it should be warm (it hasn't gotten cold yet) and I like that it covers my rear end. Attractive looking. Two issues: should have more pockets. Only one inner pocket. Considering it's size, it could certainly have a second one. The hood is big and extends beyond the field of vision. It literally blocks peripheral vision. I'm planning to get it altered so that it lies further back on the head.

Great coat, well made and very warm, but a little larger/bulky than I was expecting for an XXS petite. If you're tall, it'll look great!

It seems nice so far. I haven't worn it yet because I was pondering taking it back. I didn't realize there was a LL Bean logo on front. I don't like visible logos. I will probably keep though.

While I felt very confident in the coat I selected, I was floored when it arrived. HUGE! I looked at myself in the mirror and was convinced they'd accidentally sent a medium. Removed the coat and checked the label. It was indeed the XS I'd ordered. It was big throughout. The arms, torso, neck. So not only an improper fit, but not remotely flattering - as it looked like I had put on a men's coat instead of my own. While I considered returning it for an XXS, I can't imagine the one increment size difference to take up the excessive amount of space in the XS. I'll be looking for something from a different retailer.
The positives are that it does feel quite well insulated, and the zippers and stitching are solid. It feels like a coat that will last many years, through many types of winter weather.

This is the first long coat that has actually fit my hips! I have an hour-glass figure (waist is a M/L but I usually have to buy larger pants, 33 or 34--to get them over my hips) and it makes finding coats that go past my waist really hard to find. I tried this coat on (in green) in store, just out of curiosity, and was SHOCKED when it fit. I was so pleased! I bought it onsite. :) I haven't tested it in the super cold--but the construction is lovely.
Things I love:
Small inner pocket that is deep enough for wallet and phone.
Side pockets also have a zipper pocket because of the length, stuff sometimes falls out of the pocket--so love the zipper pockets
Waist cinch pullies
Removable hood
Double zippers allow me to unzip from the bottom, giving me room to get comfy in the car
Things I don't love:
Zipper sometimes gets stuck at the bottom--isn't super well made and I do fear it will fail first
Snaps on the hood give away really easy (there is velcro to keep it on) but it's still a little loose for my taste

Maybe my ape index is high, but I found the sleeves to be a little short. I know it's a little snug (cuz I'm a little chubby), so I'm hoping it will not be a problem once I have gloves on! Otherwise, it's p cute for a winter coat.

I had to wait for this to come back in stock in black, and I luckily caught a window of stock availability last week before it sold out again. I've had it 3 days and I stayed perfectly warm at the dog park on a windy night when the temperature was 20 degrees - wind chill. My goals with this coat were 1. super warm 2. super cozy, no harder outer lining that streamlined the coat. I wanted it to feel like I was wearing a comforter but not TOO puffy (important to stay comfortable during bonfire nights) 3. retro look that is subtle. Having a tailored, fitted flattering coat was not my first goal, although this is slightly fitted with the waist seams and cinchability. With those goals in mind this coat is exactly what I was looking for. The zipper side doesn't bother me. My one complaint is that the front pockets aren't deep enough for my iPhone xs to fit easily. I don't trust it will rest in the outer, angled pocket without falling out (the top of my phone sticks out). I smoosh it into the zippered pocket behind the outer and have to wedge it in at a weird angle and then zip it up. I take a lot of snapshots while walking and it's a hassle to get my phone in and out. The phone fits slightly better in the interior chest pocket but i'm not going to unzip my coat to take a photo so... I wish this coat had a vertical pocket behind the angled pocket instead of the angled interior zip pocket. If I'd known this ahead of time I would have chosen something else just because of the frequency that I use my phone for pictures. Sad because I love EVERYTHING else. It's soft, very warm, cool-looking and slightly fitted.

Very good parka & size is great for a petite petite woman. However, the snaps are too hard to close. Easy to unsnap but very hard to snap.

I typically wear a small but reading other reviews Made me realize I should try in an extra small. Even the extra small was really hard on me. It's unfortunate that the sizing is so off because the jacket itself seems nice. In any event I ended up returning it to the store and selected a different one.

I bought a petite xsmall.. Black! after waiting FOREVER and having to pay twice I reordered a regular xs small in Navy because they didn't have in black and then had to wait again forever for my credit.. the coat seems to fit much better. Problem is I only got it about 3 weeks ago and we all know it has not even snowed yet so I don't really know how great the coat is capable of holding up to keeping me warm and keeping out the wet weather! I do like the coat so far except for the hood like others have said, it constant;y comes off. The double zipper is also very annoying. LL Bean does not have a lot of choices so I was really only left with this coat in the length I wanted or going to a 300$ coat that was pretty much same things. Price was good, and if coat holds up in cold weather and snow I will be happy and can except the hood and zipper!

I absolutely love this coat - color murky green and quite nice as a change from black. I like having both a zipper and snaps, but unfortunately the snaps on this coat are so tight and difficult that if I try to use them again, I fear I will break my thumbs! So I must always use the zipper. I am not happy about that but can't return it since I then won't have a winter coat to wear.

I have been searching for a nice warm jacket to replace one I've had for years. This one ticked off almost all my boxes. It's very warm, has a storm flap, and a good hood with no fake fur. The only things I wish it had were inside sleeves to better keep out the cold, deeper pockets, and fleece inside the collar. I feel like this coat does run big. I ordered a petite large based on my measurements compared to the size guide and based on a conversation I had with L.L. Bean customer service. However, it's big around the waist and in the hips and I think I definitely should have ordered a medium instead. I would have tried to order one to see, but the petite mediums were sold out in all colors.

Good value! Not the highest quality compared to higher priced similar parkas but the money is right. The pockets are way too small!! Llbean, women use pockets too!!

The parka fits well. It runs a bit big which works out so I can fit a comfy sweater under it. The only complaint is the zipper. It gets caught on the fabric almost every time I zipped it. Not sure why but I always have to fix it, which is obviously not ideal.

This coat would have been perfectly fine. It fit, It wasn't "bulky" as past down coats have been. However, I was looking for something slightly "dressier" so I could wear it on really freezing work days as well. I don't know about anyone else, but I would like to see women's clothing (especially coats which are nice with a little extra room for bulky sweaters) provide more room across the shoulders. My breasts are not bigger/wider than my shoulders and it's uncomfortable in the car when I reach for the steering wheel to feel as though I'm going to burst the shoulder seams of a coat.
