Warm and very cozy in the cold NH winter. The style is more bulky and square than it looks on the model. Even with the cinch at the waist it's very square.
Kept it for the warmth and durability, expected it to look better though which is why I give it 4 stars.

nicely made, comfortable, room for quilted vest or even another jacket as a liner. I had hoped it would be warmer but I like it so well that I will increase warmth with layers

I originally bought the petite medium because I'm short and have a big bust. It ended up being too big. I exchanged it at the store for a regular XS and that fits well. I already snagged the material on something sharp, which I don't love but overall the jacket is warm and comfortable. The first coat had a zipper that didn't work well, the 2nd one was fine.

Great coat, very warm. I really like it, the only thing is it is REALLY puffy. I'm petite, 5'1 125 lbs and I got a petite small and there's still plenty of room for layers underneath.

Great warm coat, with 2 things that could be better.
This is a great light but very warm coat. It's almost perfect for dogwalking in the winter. I have 2 small annoyances, though. First, it really ought to have a large zippered inside pocket for larger items. Second, it needs a better hood adjustment, since the current hood tends to fall forward over my eyes. Tightening the cord just makes a tunnel that falls over my eyes. I hate to say it, but Land's End has figured out how to adjust hoods so they don't fall forward. Why can't LL Bean? I ended up just taking the hood off and wearing my own warm hat. Otherwise, a fabulous coat and I'm happy with my purchase.

Everything is great except for the zipper. It's very tricky to get going which is annoying.

This is a very warm coat, and it looks just like the pictures. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a little big on me. I got a petite xs. It fit well in the arms but the torso section was a little big. However, I am 5'3" and 100 pounds so I am small to begin with. Great coat! Highly recommend for warmth

I should have patch pockets the only thing missing.
It is actually too warm today. It was only 20 degrees.

This down coat is stylish and warm. It runs large. I'm 5'2 102 lbs and the small was really big. The coat is also heavy. I really loved it but found another LL Bean down coat in a small that fits better. If your climate is really cold this coat is great but not for Memphis.

Very comfortable and warm jacket. I've got many compliments. I ordered a size small, and I'm 5'2 and weigh 130. It still gave me room for another warm sweater. Only went up to my thighs, and would've liked it to reach my knees, but still kept my above warm.

Seemed like an awesome winter jacket, however, i needed a size small instead of a medium. Based on reviews I thought a medium would be perfect.

Warm, comfortable. Like the longer length and the double pockets. Snaps are difficult.

It's nice, stylish and warm. But the sizes are bigger than usual. I'm normally Medium, but for this one I had to change it to small. And it fits me perfectly. There's still some wiggle room.

My wife really likes this coat, and finds it to be VERY warm. But the zipper is rediculous to TRY to operate. So she just has to use the snaps. What's up with that, especially on a coat in this price range?!

Love the coat zipper is an issue. Often hard to zip up

Absolutely cozy (and I live where it gets seriously cold), and cute. I just struggle sometimes to get the bottom zipper lined up so it will zip.

This coat runs big, so I ended up exchanging for a size smaller. Love it so much. The ONLY thing that bothers me is that the zipper consistently gets stuck when it reaches my neck. I have to partially I soo to rezip it sometimes a few times before it'll go all the way up. Keeps me warm, and it's very comfortable. I recommend it!

This jacket is wonderful for days when it's extremely cold. If the temperature gets close to 40 degrees this jacket becomes unbearable. I walk my dog twice a day for a little under a mile and even in 30 degree weather it can get very hot and sweaty. I've done this walk pretty much everyday for 5 years so it's not challenging. I'm also not someone who is known for being warm at any given moment. I will say that I'd still recommend it.

I absolutely love this jacket but I absolutely hate the zipper. I originally got the large but exchanged it for the medium. I'm probably a size 12. I live in new England in an ocean side community and find myself on the shore often. This jacket does the job in low temps, with low windchills. I usally wear a long sleeve t-shirt, or add a vest is its really cold. It is awesome for the weather. The zipper gets stuck constantly. If I didn't love the jacket so much, I would send it back. All in all, the performance of the jacket itself is great. The zipper; not so much.

Strange. I hit four stars and the next window indicated five. Not correct. The design is superior. My only concern is the delicate outer shell. Easily punctured. Still, grateful to be warm!!

I got a medium which fits fine except for the hood which was too large. I sewed up a big pleat in the back of the hood to reduce the bulk and that has worked fine. It is warm and comfortable.

I had a Winter Warmer from 2003 that was 650 fill down and was very warm. I bought this coat to replace it after the zipper died. It's not windproof or waterproof and needs a fleece or silk layer below 30, but I wore it today at 20 degrees and was warm. Spoken by someone who lives in New England and is always cold.

The jacket is absolutely beautiful but the sleeve length was just too short for me. I ordered it in Medium and Large and found that issue with both sizes. Returned both :(

I love everything about this parka except the pockets aren't deep enough and the hood is difficult for me to control. It falls down over my eyes.

This parka is nice and warm for the New England winters. Seeing as my gym is still closed this year and I plan to walk outside more this winter, I am satisfied with its warmth, styling and functionality. The sizing was perfect: I ordered MP, as usual, (I am 142 lbs and 5'2"). I wanted to give this parka 5 stars, but did not for one reason: it had a slight smell to it - as though it had been worn once before and the owner had held a wet dog...I almost returned it because of that, but thankfully after going over it with a slightly soapy sponge and aired it out in a sunlit room for a day, the smell subsided and wasn't nearly as noticeable. I also plan to put it in the washing machine once I take the tags off in the near future, as I am probably going to keep it because it is otherwise a quality jacket, however; LL Bean - please be a bit more careful by going over your returned items more thoroughly and rid them of any odors before re-selling, as I almost returned it because of this.
