I really love this jacket and I wear it everywhere. The only thing that I had was I thought it would be a little bit thicker, but I think that the type of material it is made out of makes up for it as it always keeps me warm and dry no matter what.

Love the pockets in this jacket. I loved having inside pockets as well as outside ones. I bought a size 2X instead of my usual one X because I wanted to wear this with a sweater. It's not the warmest jacket I own, but it's accommodating my sweater and with both I have the advantage of going from place to place taking off my jacket and still being warm with my sweater on. The layering system works well for me. It folds up nicely and fits into my knapsack. This is a great advantage for when you're walking outside during the middle of the morning and then at noon time it gets warm and you can take it off and put it in your knapsack. If you are like me and like to layer, this is the jacket for you.

Well made coat, just felt like I looked like a wall in it. I had bought a size medium and I still felt like I looked like a big rectangle in it. I'm 5'10", 150lb.

Warm and lightweight. Hood doesn't fit snug but still keeps me warm. Be sure to zip pockets to keep items inside.

It was a lovely parka in every way.except the zipper stuck..every time. So obviously, I had to return it. Never even got to wear it.

This jacket fits nicely and is warm. I like the zipper feature inside of the pocket, feels much more secure than the initial button on the outside of the pocket. This jacket, however, is missing some very basic features. For example, it would be nice to have a built-in cuff around the wrist to help with warmth and air not getting up your sleeve. The jacket could also do with a different material lining the inside, especially around the neck, where the material is quite scratchy , especially when buttoned all the way up to your face.

I really love this coat. It's lightweight yet keeps you warm. I got the olive color and it's so pretty. I'm 5'2" 122lb and ordered a small and fits great! You can adjust the waist to cinch it in if wanted and it's a little hard to get used to feeling that around your waist. I just keep mine loose. The only downfall and reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the hood is attached with plastic snap buttons and the hood comes detached way too easily!! If it's hanging on a hook and I grab it by the hood several snap come unbuttoned. For this price point that is pretty disappointing.

Jacket is nice and warm...Wish it had more pockets. I carry phone, flashlight and doggie poo bags.

I got this jacket on sale in regular size. I wish the petite size was available in gray birch color. However, the overall fit is still good and the difference is barely noticeable. The sleeves aren't too long and the bottom of the jacket hits above my knees. For reference, I'm 5 ft tall. Also, I would have liked the front pockets slightly deeper to fit a glove. Thankfully, there's an inner pocket with zipper to store necessities like lip balm, credit cards, etc. The jacket kept me warm especially when we went to Vermont and Montreal. This is my first ever jacket from LL Bean and it won't be my last.

It's cozy, super comfy, warm and light weight. I love this and the color. Only problem is it snags very easily - even if it rubs against something that is not very sharp. Be careful. But customer service was awesome and exchanged.

The coat is nice and warm. The hood snaps on with plastic snaps and it unsnaps too easily. If I put my purse strap over my head, it gets caught on the hood and unsnaps. The pockets are odd, there's actually two pockets in one, the one is zippered and is deeper than the other one. One of my gloves dropped out of my pocket the other day because I had them in the shallower pocket and they didn't stay secure. Despite those two flaws (in my mind), I still really like the coat. It keeps me warm on the coldest days in a Michigan winter.

Jacket is very comfortable and covers my bottom when I sit on a cold car seat! My only suggestion is that they make the pockets deeper. My phone slips out easily, so I have to zip it up in the inner pocket, which makes it less accessible in an emergency.

I am 4'11', 145 lbs, the PM fits perfectly, and kept me warm during last week's NE arctic air blast. My one issue with this coat (which, for me, am finding is a bigger problem than I thought) are the shallow pockets. Whether it's going to a football game, the grocery store (when it's heavily snowing and 15 degrees), or running around, I just want decent, easy-access - but deep - pockets, for my phone. Before buying the coat, I saw the other reviews mentioning this, but did not initially think much of it. The appeal of Bean is the classic fit and styling of their products. I'm sure that the pockets were never an issue for the small phones, "back in the day" (two years ago - LOL), but hopefully they can update the pattern of the pockets to fit the jumbo phones being made these days.

The pockets are too shallow.. I lost the house key twice but luckily i found them both times. I shouldn't have to zip it in every time I leave the house. I'm afraid to put my phone in the pocket of this beautiful warm coat.

The parka is very warm even without a sweater underneath. The zipper is good and strong. The hood works well. My only complaint is that the snaps are difficult to snap and undo. It is a minor complaint. I would recommend the parka.

This coat is warm but so lightweight. Wish the pockets were like my last LL Bean coat. It had sideways pockets as well as up and down pockets. Love the color.

My reason for giving 4 out of 5 stars is that I wish it came longer. Otherwise, super warm coat without the extra bulk.

I bought this jacket for a 2 week trip to England and France. It rained 80% of the time and it kept me warm and dry the entire time. I absolutely love this jacket but for 2 things. Every time I slightly pulled on the hood it would come unsnapped and I constantly had to fix it. The other is the zipper. Almost every time I had to finagle with the zipper for it to line up straight and it often got stuck. Both things were annoying when in cold rainy weather. But I was really impressed with the warmth and dryness of it. And I was walking in the rain a lot. I also really like the color. It's a nice green that goes with everything. I did wish the pockets were a bit bigger, but each pocket is two layers. One that is zippered and one that snapped.

Great quality, extremely warm and flattering. All that I need here residing in Big Snow Country! One suggestion, work on the zipper - it catches a bit. More interior pockets too!

The problem I am having is the zipper. It is difficult to pull up. So I have to button it. Sometimes that is hard to do when you have arthritis in your hands.

I am quite pleased with this coat. I would give it 90% out of 100. The style is very nice and it is definitely warm (great for upstate NY in winter). I really like the inside lining as it makes it easy to slip the coat on. I have two issues with this coat...both probably minor. The first problem is the hood. It is very deep and will fit well over a ski cap. The problem is the hood withOUT a hat under it. It is just too deep and falls forward blocking some of my view.. I fixed this by removing the hood until I really need it. The other problem is the zipper. It is a very heavy zipper and will last forever. However, this is both good and bad. The weight of the zipper makes it stiff and somewhat hard to get started. Plus, it zips from the left side, which is very awkward for me to operate, being right handed. I would assume left handed people love it! As I stated earlier, I still give this coat a 90 out of 100 favorable rating.

This is one of my favorite winter coats I've ever owned, it keeps me warm in all weather and is the perfect length. But the shallow pockets are so annoying, they can barely fit my gloves, let alone a phone/keys/mask, etc.

Fits true to size, very warm and comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because when I first got it, my fingers smelled like metal every time I would zip it up. That smell has now faded.

I'm 5'6", 144 pounds and usually wear a small/medium in clothing, I purchased a medium because the small was too tight for layering sweatshirts and heavy sweaters. I love the blue color and weight of the jacket. I like that the hood detaches. My only issue is with the pockets, they are very shallow - it's difficult to put your hands in and doesn't hold a smartphone. Very strange design for the modern era. Because the pockets have a perpendicular to the bottom hem opening, very impractical. Sharing because while I like and plan on keeping the jacket, the pockets have already been a problem when I tried to stash my keys in them while grocery shopping.

Loved the coat: warm at 30 degrees, comfortable fit, right length, and the neck closed tight enough to keep my neck was warm. I was surprised to find an inside zipper pocket within the pockets; this was a plus. However, the outer pocket was too small to hide my hands from the cold.
