When my mountain classic parka arrived, I was ready to send it back. How can something so lightweight be warm? I am so glad I kept it. Not only is it warm enough to handle temperatures in the teens, it's extremely comfortable. I like the double pockets, one zipper and one snap closure on each side; also there is an inside pocket for glasses or a cellphone. My concern is that feathers are coming out on the outside of the parka. Only a few so far but what if it continues? I have not previously owned a down jacket so I don't know if this is normal. This shedding of feathers is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Love the jacket. Just wish it came in tall since I have long arms.

Great coat. Warm and lightweight. I went up a size so I can layer, the waist drawcord gives you shape. I took off a star due to the pockets. I would prefer a large zip pocket not 2 in one smaller pockets. There is an inside zip pocketwhich is nice

Love the warmth,love the feel of being wrapped up but very cumbersome to contain on a bleacher seat.

I would have given it 5 stars, however, the pockets are terrible. They are small and angled so you have to snap them shut to hold most things in. Overall, I love the coat! It's very warm and I receive many compliments on it!

I like this coat very much. Two things I wish were different, those are: that the pockets were a bit deeper. I worry that I will lose my phone out of them. The other thing is I wish the snaps and zipper were the other way. I feel very warm and cozy in this coat.

The front hand pockets are not big enough and they need zipper closure so things don't fall out. Would like another interior pocket.

I got this specifically because I wanted a coat that fit me. I'm petite and wanted the sleeves and length to fit. This jacket was just right for me. It's plenty warm for those real cold days. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the pockets are too shallow. My gloves barely fit in them. I have to be careful as they can fall out.

Great. coat, very warm and comfortable. Only complaints I have are that the buttons to close it are very tiny and hard to button and it would be great to have a pocket on the outside of the coat and a bigger pocket inside.

I purchased this coat.. I have an older version and really love it. I was disappointed that this coat did not have some of the same features. Velcro cuffs to keep the cold out on the sleeves, the new one has 2 snaps, the hood has snaps, the older one has a zipper. I thought there would be a sale on this coat after the holidays.

I was on the borderline between two sizes and asked for guidance. I was told to buy the smaller size, which i did. I was leaning that way already, so I bought the L/1X size, thinking there was no way a size 2x/3x would look right. I've never worn either of those larger sizes. I still don't think the larger size would be appropriate since the L/XL fits in the waist and hips. My conclusion is this coat isn't quite right for ladies with a larger than the chart size's bust measurement. This isn't the coat I would buy if I had it to do over. A coat without the combined sizing of this coat would be a starting point. Other than the above, I truly like the coat. It is not too bulky, but it is warm enough to wear in the snowy days we get sometimes in TN. I like the easy to manage quick snap up design with the additional zipper for windy days.

I Love this coat. It's like wearing an attractive sleeping bag. It does have one flaw, shallow pockets. I've lost my phone so many times I've lost count. There's a pocket with a zipper and above outside of that one. It's that one which is super shallow and Everything falls out of it. But besides that one flaw, I do see it as such, it's a perfect coat. Super warm, and it's going to be -20 tomorrow.

The coat is warm and stylish looking. My main complaint is the lack of convenient pockets (having just the two outside slash pockets and one small inside zip pocket that is just barely big enough for my phone

Warm coat, but zipper tends to get stuck at the neck line.

This is the perfect length jacket for a person is active.I have had three of these jackets over the past 25 years. I would suggest deeper pockets that zip up and eliminate inner zipped pocket.

I like the length and warmth of this coat. It's good in the wind. It doesn't penetrate the fabric, but I have to echo what others have said, the pockets are too shallow and the snaps are hard to do. Please stick to zippers LLBEAN!

I waited a couple years before I ordered this Parka and so far I've been very pleased with my purchase. I tried the coat on at the store to make sure the fit was right since I needed a petite size and then ordered it in the Kelp Green color which arrived at my home in less than week. The XS gave me enough room to layer with a heavier sweatshirt underneath and the length is perfect for running errands or keeping me warm when taking a walk on a cool or windy day. I've had no problems with the zipper. My only disappointment is the size of the pockets as previous reviews have mentioned. The pockets could definitely be bigger, even if it's just to accommodate a cellphone, keys or a wallet. The jacket is a heavier weight but works fine for flying and travel. I gave it 4 stars only because of the pocket size. We'll see how warm and dry it keeps me this winter.

Looked at several parkas with the help of your wonderful helpful staff. Decided to buy this one and am sooo happy with it.. It's light,very warm and I love the color. Sometimes I have a problem with the zipper it takes me a little time to close it, but I would never return the item.

Earlier I wrote that I was disappointed because I only had my coat a year and the zipper broke. LL Bean did reach out to me and offered to replace the coat if I still had my receipt or fix the zipper for free if I didn't. Because of that I am changing my review.
