Love this coat. Only complaint is the hood. It's huge and awkwardly shaped. Basically unusable..

This is a nice warm coat. BUT the snaps to cover the zipper can only be fastened bu holding the material beside the snap to affix the two pieces. Eventually this will cause wear near the snap I'm sure. AND I personally would prefer no snaps at the sleeves. I bought the coat for the warmth so I kept it. I wish I had tried a different one of your coats tho

I bought this coat a month ago and I love the coat. I bought a petite because I am 5'2" tall and the length is good. My only complaints are the smell. Don't know if it's the dye, the fabric, where it was stored before shipping. Hoping it will improve with washing. The sleeves are too tight to wear more than one long sleeve t-shirt underneath. There is no room for a sweater or sweatshirt to fit in the sleeves. Keep this in mind if arms are large. The great news is the coat is warm enough that I haven't needed more than a t-shirt weight shirt underneath. I would recommend this coat for comfort and warmth.

This jacket is very warm and I love that the wind does not penetrate the fabric. Great jacket for cold days. The only downside is the collar. It's stiff and not very warm. A padded collar would be better, but the hood is nice and helps keep you warm all over. I would definitely buy this jacket again.

Liked the coat, comfortable, warm. However, zipper is not smooth to operate, down feathers pop out of fabric, now and then.

Great jacket. I love the length and the removable hood. What I do not like are the snaps on the pockets that are hard to shut. It would have been better to have had zippers for the inner and outer pockets. I would definitely warn a friend about the snaps before recommending the jacket. I bought a Medium Petite size at the Mashpee, MA store.

Even though it was a very nice coat the down feathers were falling out in sections. I had no other choice but return it. However I did buy another style coat. It cost $70. more but I love it.

Very nice and warm coat. But the hood is disappointing. Too big and not adjustable enough for a small head. Wish I could tighten it from the middle back of hood.

The coat fits well and is moderately warm, as expected. I am disappointed that there is no cuff to prevent cold air entering through the sleeve.

I really liked the coat. The fit was true to size --a regular Large for 5' 8", 160. But the reason I exchanged it is because every time I wore it, there were feathers coming out of it all over. I wore it for a couple weeks thinking it would somehow stop shedding feathers, but it never did. The exchange process was very easy to use so I chose a different coat.

This coat is great for Chicago winters. I like the double pockets, draw cord waist, tougher fabric at areas of stress, and the deep hood. I expected the zipper to be made of metal, but when I received the jacket I discovered that the zipper teeth are just metal-colored plastic, which really cheapens the look and feel of the coat (the pull and snaps appear to be metal). I considered returning it but really needed a new down coat so I've decided to live with it.

Like other reviews have said, the pockets are shallow. Just kind of off. They hit across the base of my thumb, and the zippers on the pockets rub where they hit. There's also just something weird about where they're placed on the coat. It's like they're too far down. It's not a deal-breaker, the coat is very warm and nice. Just something LL Bean should fix on a go-forward.

After washing, even as instructed the filling diminishes considerably

It's true the pockets are more shallow than ideal, the extra interior zip inside the pockets is helpful. Would love to have a pocket on the inside of the coat. But overall I purchased this a day before spending a cold and slightly snowy weekend in New York City and I was SO GLAD I had this coat.

I love everything about this parka except the hood attachment. It's held on with the worst plastic snaps which detach so easily. Should have been a zipper.

I bought this coat in December 2025 and feathers are popping out all over. I have not even washed it yet. I'm bummed, cuz I really like it.

Nice jacket with hood, covers butt, pockets could be larger and deeper. Why are Russian army colors so in vogue? I would like some bright primary, jewel toned and non muddied colors.

The coat is very warm and comfortable. Here's the downsidethe pockets don't easily fit my iPhone. That should be a design guideline. Also the snaps don't close easily.

This jacket was really cute and cozy. Ultimately I decided to return it as the fit wasn't quite right for me (5'10'') but I loved the look and feel of the jacket.

The zipper is difficult to line it up since there is 2 zipper closures for bottom of the coat can be opened at the hips. Zipping it up isnt smooth action. The teeth of zipper are plastic metal would of been better in my opinion.

This coat delivers on warmth and wind blocking like a champ. I also like the fit and feel good in it. The hood is a little too big for my head, but its probably okay for most others and the hood is detachable so no big deal. The pockets are not deep enough for me. I like that there is a zip pocket under the standard open pocket but it takes effort to use the zip. I've had multiple things fall out of the pockets because they are too shallow. If you rely on coat pockets, this one may let you down but delivers in every other category.

The coat is definitely warm and a comfortable fit. I appreciate the fitted cuff so the sleeves don't fall over my hands, and the drawstring waist provides some shape. I've worn the coat less than a dozen times so far, and am wondering how long before it stops shedding feathers? They seem to be working their way out of the shell. Overall though, it has all the features I was looking for.

This is a solid jacket the will keep you warm in frigid temperatures. Very good for the price. That being said, I wouldn't mind paying a little more for the following upgrades: 1). Stretch Cuffs under the existing one's, 2) Zippered hood, this one comes unbuttoned when I try to remove my cross body pocketbook 3) Interior straps as seen on other name brand jackets so you can remove the jacket without putting it down 4) Zippered side pockets. Despite areas for improvement, at $160, this is a really nice value and well worth the price.

I've been very happy with this parka. No issues with the zipper that I read in other reviews. I chose this one for the removable hood, as I find them uncomfortable. It looks nice and has kept me warm so far through this winter in the NY metro area. I removed one star for some slight fit issues. The shoulders are a bit tight, and I wish the sleeves were a little longer. When I fully extend my arms forward they ride up and leave my wrists bare. I tried going a size up, but then the body of the jacket was so loose it wouldnt have held heat in as well. I had a hard time finding a coat that met all my needs, so the sleeves weren't a dealbreaker.

Love this coat. It's almost perfect, BUT... it's kind of amazing that there is not a good pocket for a phone. The pocket is somewhat small, so the phone might easily fall out. It does have a snap, but with how often a phone goes in and out of a pocket, I'm convinced I'm going to break the snap with wear and tear. Seems silly maybe to care so much about this, but pockets are important and phones are just a fact of life now. With a good pocket, the coat would definitely rate a 5 star review.
