I bought this coat from a recommendation from two different friends - and they were right. The medium was definitely the right call for me - it's a little roomy but who wants a winter coat that is tight? We've only had a few cold days so far, but Wisconsin winters can be pretty brutal and I am confident this coat will do the job. I like the double pocket with an inside zipper for my credit card and phone. I could use an interior pocket but I can get past that with the overall quality and attractiveness of the coat far.

I love my new coat! Ordered a petite extra large because sleeves are always too long for me on regular sizes. Could have gone with a large but ordered an extra large because I wanted it to fit loosely enough that I could wear layers underneath. This fit the bill. It feels light but is very warm. I walk in winter where weather is often windy and below zero. This jacket keeps me plenty warm and comfy. Highly recommend.

I love, love this parka! The fit is perfect, but I did size down after reading some of the reviews. Ordinarily I wear XS, but opted for the XXS and it fit perfectly. I bought black and can use all kinds of colorful hats and scarves with my jacket. I highly recommend this parka. Very warm and comfortable.

Warm, very comfortable! Truly waterproof. Color is a bit more purple looking than red like the picture shows. Really is burgundy. Very pretty color!

So hard to find a PETITE winter coat! I LOVE this. it fits perfectly. Pockets are good size, with zippers. I almost can't wait for it to be cold so I can wear it. Thank you LL BEAN! KEEP UP PROVIDING PETITE SIZE CLOTHING!

I was skeptical at first on buying almost a 200.00 jacket, but I live in Chicago and it gets cold and windy here, and I take public transportation A LOT. I bought the 2XL as I read reviews on other plus size buyers and the size fits great for me. I was a bit worried since I have a bigger chest and did not want to get crushed with this jacket. No problem there what so ever. Right now its about 20 D outside and the jacket is working great. I like that the hood is adjustable as well. Thanks LL Bean from a first time buyer.

I have had an older version of this coat in black for many years and wanted to get a new one in a fresh color. Absolutely nothing wrong with the older coat, just tired of wearing black all the time in gloomy weather. A few style differences: 1) Cut way larger. My old coat was a medium and the new small is quite roomy. 2) The new version doesn't have the large inner pocket, just the small one. That was a disappointment as the large pocket was handy to stow my hat, extra mittens, etc., and I didn't have to worry about something falling out of a small pocket. Did you think we wouldn't notice? ;) But not a huge deal. Color: I ordered the "kelp" thinking that would be a bluish green, but it's really just a soft camo/army green. Not necessarily a negative, just not what I was expecting. I returned it and ordered the burgundy, which I really like. It's a soft, muted color with a warm feel to it. So I'm very happy with the coat but wanted to point out the differences for long-time Bean fans. Great coat, really warm and cozy, light and soft. Expect to wear it for years to come.

I purchased the small in navy. I love the coat. It fits perfectly (not bulky), is lightweight, and super warm. Extremely comfortable. You can't go wrong with this coat!

This is a high quality parka, particularly for the price. It is very comfortable, warm and soft, allowing ease of movement. My only complaint, although minor, is that the cuffs do not have an inner elastic cuff for a snug fit. The snap closures can cause gaping folds.

I love this jacket. It's exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable and warm!!! I've already had compliments on it. You won't be disappointed.

Fit like a dream!!!! Loved everything about this coat. I was very happy with the warmth but not bulk.

The first time I put on this parka I felt like I was wrapped in my down comforter. It is so comfortable and the fabric is surprisingly soft. It's very slightly big, which is what I was expecting with the goal to be able to wear a sweatshirt or thick sweater underneath. The two side pockets are large, both with zip mesh inner pockets that are great for my keys or phone. It has been amazing so far on cold and windy morning dog walks.

I read the reviews and initially ordered the large based on similar height and weights from other reviewers, but found the large to be a bit too big, even with room for internal layers. I got the medium and it's perfect. I can still wear additional layers without feeling the jacket is tight or I'm swimming in it. I love it overall and it's very warm.

This coat is perfect. Great length, true to size and fabulous navy color. Extremely well made and perfect for the cold New England winter weather.

I was looking for a coat that would keep me warm, as I will be outside a lot this winter. It preforms beautifully in the wind and cold. I don't feel a thing. Water wicks off in drizzly rain. It is so cozy and snuggly for cold northern winters. It is not for casual shopping/inside temperatures... it gets hot fast inside, but has been delightful in all types of outdoor weather. And the length covers my butt without being restricting. I bought this big because I wanted room for layers and/or snow pants underneath... also because I am tired of coats being tight around my hips and bust. So I may be sacrificing fashion a bit, but the function is well worth it. It does also have some elastic ties on the inside to bring the waist in a bit, to give yourself more shape. Overall this is a fantastic coat, worth every penny (and it's a steal compared to a lot of winter coats out there) and I could not be more happy with my purchase.

Great coat to walk my dog this upcoming winter. I like that each pocket not only has a snap to keep it closed, but also an inside pocket with a zipper. Great product.

I go out with the dogs several times a day and I can actually wear a tank top under the jacket and I am very warm. Fits great, love the zipper pockets inside of the pockets.

Just what I wanted -- warm and not too heavy, well-fitting but not fancy.

Excellent length, very soft and comfortable, and I appreciate the ease with which the hood can be removed.

This coat is Minnesotan approved! Super warm and comfy. I got it in a size up to put layers on underneath but it is the best coat I've ever owned and the price is great too!

I was looking for a WARM jacket to wear outside during a major dirt track race in Las Vegas. In November it is always COLD and WINDY.This jacket kept me toasty warm with only a long sleeve Henley shirt. I didn't need more layers! I love this jacket. It IS PERFECT!

This jacket is amazing ! Bought it in black size medium. I wore this for the Yukon quest -28 weather and I was nice and cozy ! This jacket been my life this year up here . Definitely would purchase again ! No regrets !

Temperature hasn't been cold enough to fully enjoy this jacket but it surely will be super warm when the time comes. It'll be plenty warm without underneath layering. I'll wear it to walk about and snow shoe. Anyone who rides a snow vehicle will surely be super comfortable in this jacket!!! I'm 81!
