I can't actually believe how nice this jacket is for the price. It's such a good value! It's definitely warm. I've worn it with just a thin shirt underneath in 20 degree temps and been warm. We didn't have a super cold winter this year, so I can't speak to temps below that, but I imagine with layers underneath, it would be toasty down below zero. The adjustable waist on the inside is such a nice feature because it gives the coat some shape. The color is beautiful (I got navy) and the length is perfect at midthigh. Some people didn't like the zipper, but I've had no problems and like that it's a nice sturdy zipper. The only downsides (not enough to take off a star) are the hood is a little small, but it's nice because it doesn't fall over my eyes. The cuffs are kind of annoying. They are adjustable, but even on the bigger size, I still sometimes struggle to take my jacket off over my watch. I wish they were elastic, but it's not a deal breaker. The hidden inner pockets (both sets of pockets are lined!!) is my favorite feature. I never have to carry a purse because my keys and wallet stay secure. I seriously love this coat. I could have gotten an XS but the S is good for layering and doesn't feel too bulky.

I ordered as we are going into spring BUT the fit is PERFECT....so can't wait for next winter.

I love my new parka. I needed something that would be extra warm for the very cold days. This jacket did not disappoint. I love to go for long hikes and LLBean is the only brand I will buy. I have even convinced my entire family that no other brands can keep out the cold and wind in the northeast in the winter. Thank you LLBean!

I literally want to curl up into this coat, it is amazing! Warm, fitted, but not tight, easy to move in, and with pockets all in the right places. I am so happy with this coat I almost wish it would stay winter forever. For size reference I did get the petite size small. Fits perfectly. Never purchased a petite sized coat before, honestly didn't know anyone carried them. no regrets.

My daughter, who's 19 and an extremely picky girl, LOVES her new jacket. I was actually surprised that she texted me her picture in it with a comment that it's the best jacket she has ever had and she's had all the known name brands. It has kept her warm in the -20 to -35 windchills walking between her classes. I never write reviews but had to. You won't regret buying it.

I don't usually write reviews, but I love this coat so much that I really needed to. It's so warm, looks great, and fits well. I got a petite and was worried it would be too small, but it's perfect. I'm short and have short arms, so regular is probably good for most people. I've worn it out for long periods of time and it keeps me toasty. I love that it repels water, unlike some down costs that just get soaked. It also isn't shiny unlike other down costs, and I really like that. It's absolutely my favorite winter coat I've ever owned. I imagine it will be my go to for years to come.

I will definitely order from here again I am so impressed with the quality of the jacket it really lives up to what they say about there products also I have a pair of winter botts that don't peak and keep my feet dry I have had these for over 10 years and have been very satisfied with them.Order from L l bean you won't be disappointed.

This has been a perfect coat for covid hangs this winter, which requires a lot of bundling up. It's perfectly cozy and keeps me warm. I love that I can cinch the waist for more of a form fitting look, or let it out when wearing bulkier layers. I was about to write a review about how my ONLY gripe was that the pockets weren't very deep, and only had a button closure. But! After wearing the coat for more than a month, I discovered that there are hidden zipper pockets within the pockets! And then I fell more in love with this coat.

I was looking for a warm coat, and this has been quite satisfactory. I also like the length (mid-thigh on me, a short woman) because it covers the butt. Love the coat!

I love this coat. It keeps me warm for long periods of time outside with just a thin top on underneath. I went with other reviews and ordered a size down, and the medium fits just right. I would buy again.

This coat is fabulous in every way. It's cute and sporty looking. It's super comfortable and so WARM! I wanted something other than black but still sort of neutral so I went with the green and I love it. The small fits me perfectly allowing for plenty of room for a heavy sweater. The coat hits far above the knee but still fully covers your bum and top part of the thighs so you're really covered but you can still move around. It's waterproof and warm without being too puffy. I'm comfortable walking the dog in the snow through the woods and also comfortable in and out of the car. I can't say enough good things about this coat.

I'd been looking for a winter coat long enough to cover my backside without being a knee-length type cut. This one is perfect! I am 5'8" and 270 and a 2x fit perfectly. Toasty warm on my walks.

This coat fits nicely and is very warm. I wear it to walk my dog in Northern Massachusetts during the winter and have never been cold. It's roomy enough to put a sweater underneath if you want. The pockets are decent sized but not huge. Zipper seems sturdy. Overall a well-made coat.

I initially ordered a small, but it was much too big which was surprising. I exchanged it for an xs, and it fit perfectly. The length is great, and its very warm. I LOVE the pockets. They are at just the right height and position, and I love that I can zip things inside them and have an extra pocket within the pocket to use as well. The hood it not too tight or too loose. The pocket at chest height is just perfect for my phone. I look forward to walks in the cold now, just because of this coat!

I like the color, the weight of the coat and the warmth of it. I put the coat to a test today at 21 degrees Farenheit in NYC. I was warm to my surprise. I would buy this again and I would recommend it. The large was a bit big on me but then again, I can use the extra space for a sweater if I want to.

This coat was just what I wanted! A very warm puffy jacket that falls to my upper thigh, with a hood for when it gets windy. This is truly the warmest jacket I have worn, and has thus far been perfect for temperatures in the single digits. I have very broad shoulders, so it's a bit tight in the shoulder if I have multiple layers underneath, but otherwise the small fits me well. I don't know that it's "high fashion" but it looks like I expected it to and I'm glad I got the black.

I have been searching for a new winter jacket for some time. This jacket provides great warmth without feeling too bulky. I love how many pockets it has, that the hood is removable, and how you can pull in the waist. Highly recommend!

I have never been more happy with a winter coat purchase!! This jacket is so warm, functional and didn't break the bank! I was between getting a petite or regular small but ended up going regular. The only down side is the outside pockets are a little further down (I'm 5'1) but otherwise fits perfect! There's room to wear layers but not too bulky. Plus you can tighten the jacket from the inside. I will say the sleeves fit perfect for me, so anyone with larger arms might need to go up a size. I HIGHLY recommend! Also shipping was super quick which is hard to come by these days.

This coat is fabulous! I originally ordered a medium. Then I remembered the last year of my Covid-19 extra padding, returned, and ordered a large. I love the color and the retro vibe this gives me. Definitely a keeper for years to come!

My favorite of my winter coats- warmest, most comfortable, easiest to move in. I like the kelp green color, blending in with nature, and the soft feel of the fabric. I like that it doesn't have fur around the hood. I like the shorter length, less restrictive when walking dogs or driving. I don't mind winter weather when I am wearing this parka.

I love this jacket! It is so warm when I go out to walk the dog. No matter how cold and windy it can get in a New England winter, this jacket keeps me warm and blocks the wind. Excellent quality! I love the double pockets.
