I gave these pants a try and my final feeling was "only if these would have been better designed"! Generally speaking, I liked the pants, the looks, the fabric & the warmth they provide. My biggest complain is these aren't high rise, not even close! If these pants were offered as a high rise pants, I probably would have liked to have them in every color. But instead, these are pretty uncomfortable as you were them they want to keep sliding down and you have to keep pulling them up. Pretty soon after wearing them, they ride way under your belly button and that isn't comfortable at all. I couldn't wait to take them off and back to LLBean they go! Please make these as high rise pants!

I bought a pair of these over 10 years ago and finally had to replace them. I bought 2 pairs this time around and am sad to report that they're just not made like they used to be. After less than 1 month of simply wearing them around the house, the fabric on the knees is wearing out. I don't expect to get even 2 years out of these pants.

I wore the unlined version of these pants all summer and loved them. So when fall came, I checked to see whether there is a winter version. I bought two pairs (later returned one). They seemed OK trying them on, but when I wore the first pair, I discovered that the fit is compromised and range of motion is constricted. The problem? The bulky lining that bunches up and doesn't move with you. Let's hope they do better for next winter.

These are one of the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. I really liked them until I wore them camping and realized my midsized cellphone would not fit in any of the pockets! So disappointing! In my opinion it is a necessity for camping pants to have cellphone sized pockets since I never carry my purse in the woods. Going to return them because I do not need a pricey lounge pant.

I am 5'8" and the regular length is quite a bit short - I want my ankles to be warm too!

I am 5'1 1/2. and ordered a petite medium . They fit comfortable .But they are way too long . They drag on the ground. The fabric is fluffy and these pants cannot be cuffed up. They have an elastic piece around the ankle and it just makes them balloon out still dragging on the ground. Disappointing.

First off-- I have a pair of the original Vista Camp pants that I ordered 4 years ago (for hiking and walkabouts with the dogs here, there and everywhere on the farm and in the woods). I ordered them in a small, I am typically a 'small'--They are 'hanging in' with a bit of pilling at the ankles and seat, but I still wear them and have layered them over my leggings in the winter. Which is why I ordered the LINED VERSION before Christmas, to wear in the bitter winter temps over leggings OR as is, lined in fleece. I ordered a medium, just in case they ran small, and although the outer pant layer is way large over leggings, the inner fleece lining runs a bit small and awkward in comparison... It fits well enough because I am 'small', but the overall fit and look is a bit weird. What really wigs me out, however, is the PILLING and poor quality of the outer layer vista camp pants! I have worn them, perhaps, a dozen times when I walked the dogs on the farm or hiked with my friend on trails in the park...not even all day, just a few hours or so, for the walkabouts or hikes! They are pilled miserably, not only at the ankles but at the seat and sides. I washed them once or twice on the lowest hand wash setting in cold water, and although the wash didn't seem to be a problem, the quality of the material the outside layer is made from, certainly, is neither that of the original ones I have NOR worth the price! My cheap $15 sweatpants from the local box store are better than these.

While I usually order a regular small, I ordered these pants in a petite small, and they are quite baggy. One of the pocket buttons is already hanging off. The quality of these pants does not come close to the price I paid.

I have three pairs of the lined vista camp pants. Also own 3 or 4 pairs of the vista camp shorts. All of the items are sized Medium and they fit. I have not gained weight etc. but when I received the size medium in the lined vista camp pants I had to send back as they fitted a little tight and no way could I wear a large. What is happening to your sizing?

I purchased these pants in late winter 2020. They looked great in the store. Within three washing I was very disappointed. The fabric pills horribly and attracts dog fur like crazy. They also look sloppy. I now only wear them around the house. In the store they looked super cute. Several months later I purchased two pair of unlined vista pant. One in the jogger style and one regular style. The jogger pilled horribly as well after two washings. I love LL Bean products. I have a winter jacket that over 15 years old that I still wear daily during the winter months. These pants are not of the quality I expect from LL Bean

Really like the fit and warmth of the pants, but the pilling is at the point where I'm embarrassed to wear them out unless I have a long coat on.

I love these pants. They are warm and so comfortable. However they pill terribly after I have worn them 3 times. It's very disappointing! I would expect better from LLBean. These pants cost $89 and should last!!

The lined Vista pants fit well but they pilled so terribly that they are doomed to stay indoors and I will not buy another pair. I bought them in April 2018 so hopefully they have improved. I can't remember if they pilled within the first year, but since they are seasonal pants, I didn't notice until after the one year return policy. Too bad.

So these have their positive qualities; very comfortable and warm, and they look good on. However, the outer fabric seems to be very delicate. Today is my first day wearing them and both knees have little runs in them already. I didn't do anything strenuous in them so I must have just brushed up against something?? For the money, these should last a long time and from today, day 1, I can tell that won't be the case.

I love the regular Vista pants and have 4 pair of the capris and one of the long and they fit like a dream so I thought I'd love the lined ones for colder months. Sadly the lining makes the pants feel too snug so that movement is restricted plus the lining drags on my socks and underwear when pulling them on. I have retuned them.

The look & shape of these pants is too sloppy even for rural Vermont. The lining was very thin & flimsy. Better to stick with Bean's lined jeans.

As described in other reviews the tie waist is pretty useless. I replaced it. Then I washed them! They came out pilled and looking like they had been chewed by a dog. Disappointed to say the least. Returning.

I really wanted to like these and they are very comfortable, but after just a few months they are piling really bad and the stiching on the pocket is coming undone so there is a hole in the pocket. I wish they were better quality.

Even though laundered exactly as instructed, the fabric on these pill badly after just a month or so. Very disappointed in the poor quality - and this has happened to both pairs that I've purchased. Have a lot of Bean pants and this problem only with this style.

These pants are disappointing because they do not stay up well and there are no belt loops to remedy the problem. Otherwise they seem to be well made and if it were not for the aforementioned problem, I would give the pants 4 or 5 stars.

The pants have an elastic drawstring that not matter how tight you stretch it and tie it you are constantly pulling your pants up. At first I just had my phone in the front pocket and my pants kept falling down. I took my phone out and had the same problem. So...if you are doing more walking than just from your living room to your kitchen, plan on needing to pull your pants up. A simple normal drawstring would have worked. These are useless to wear anywhere except inside your house.

I bought two of these in 2021 and 2 in 2922 both size small. The first set are great. The second set is so much bigger. They fall down.
