I liked the weight and warmth, but ultimately decided to return these. They are too loose, even with the elastic waist. The drawcord is stretchy and so they seem to slide down as I wear them. The cord is also very long and kind of bulky and I didn't like the look of it under my shirt (I don't tuck). I normally wear a size S or M, and even the S was too big. The longer length is usually perfect for me, but these were too long and I think hemming might be difficult with the lining. The lining is warm and cozy so that's a plus. It could be these are just not a good match for my body type.

These are very good pants with the exception of the following two issues. The two rear pockets each have a large button which protrude from the rear of the wearer. The other problem with these pants is the lining in the leg portion of the pants is not secured to the outside part of the pants, which makes the lining bunch up in the bottom of the pants when putting on.

Big & bulky I am 5'1" 115lbs. Bought Pet M felt like the kid in the Christmas story. but I believe a small would not have been uncomfortable in the waist. Had to return

I hope llbean reads this review and figures out what is going on with this product. I currently own three pairs of the Vista camp pants lined, they are sized medium. I own maybe three pairs of the vista shorts. All sized medium. Ordered a pair of vista lined since two of my previous purchased pants are showing the wear and washes. My newest pair I wear less in order to keep them for nice wear, not rough and tough times. Anyway my point is what is going on with sizing? I have to send back the medium and will not order the Large as it would be too big and baggy. This is disappointing to say the least.

The best part of these pants is the super soft and comfy lining. The exterior is durable, too. The worst part is the button closures on the pockets. A button is not secure and it is really hard to open and close. My husband has the men's version and his pockets have zippers; why can't we have the same? Just silly. He got me these as a gift and mistakenly ordered the petite so they are too short; but he got the size right for me (XL) and just below the waistband they are really, really loose. Like balloon loose. Oh well, they'll do as a backup pair of winter hikers.

The pants fit nicely and are cozy. BUT they sit too low on the waist to make sense for pants that are designed for warmth. I'm keeping them because they are otherwise comfortable, but designing them to sit so low at waist should be corrected in the next iteration. I'll be required to always pair them with especially long tops.

Had to return XS and reorder a S. I find that the lined pants are made smaller then the vista camp shorts and the unlined vista camp pants which I wear an XS in.

I have 4 pairs of Vista Camp pants, loved both capri and full-length, and wanted another for colder weather. Sadly, I had to return the lined pants because they were far too long for petite sizing.

Ran larger and longer than expected. After I returned them, they did not have my size and petite as an option, so I could not give these pants a try.

I have many pairs of the Vista Camp regular pants and I love them. Perfect fit; perfect length. I am 5'3 and 135 lbs. I wear a small. I bought these fleece lined ones and although they fit in the body they were just too long for me. Rolling them up looked funny. I returned them.

These pants are really comfortable and I really like them, I gave 3 stars because they pill easy and the outer fabric will easily get shredded from just having your cat sit on your lap. I think they are too pricey for not being very durable.

They are long. The drawstrings help but there is no slide on them and they don't tie unless you knot them, so that's a disadvantage. True for the regular vista pants, too. The fleece lined ones seem shorter in the rear end than the regular ones.

I finally tried these on, liked the fit, warmth, and pockets as these will be perfect for walking. Then I tried to tie the waist and couldn't believe the drawstring was a flimsy piece of elastic. I couldn't pull the waist in as the elastic just kept going and going. Please tell me this is not the new norm?? Elastic stretches out and gets frayed and will do quickly with repeated washing and drying. I will have a seamstress see if a normal, sturdy drawstring can be inserted. If not these will be going back.

I bought these pants to wear when walking my dogs on winter mornings in the Northeast. The quality and fit of the pants were excellent, however they failed to keep me warm. They didn't even do as well as my regular jeans. I was disappointed.

Pants made well but fit is not for me, too big. The price was high, I wanted them to fit more slender body

I bought the regular size. It was way too long, so I sent it back. Seems to be a very nice item, though, so I might try getting the petit size in a couple of months.

I love the Vista Camp pants and have several pair, lined and unlined. I love the old jersey-lined style, but found these too thick and unflattering. Part of the appeal of these pants was how compact they are for travel. The fleece lining makes these very bulky. Very disappointed the old style was discontinued.

I bought a pair of unlined vista camp pants and love them so bought a lined pair for the winter. The lined ones are warm and comfortable for hiking but the outer material is a huge disappointment. They have only been washed twice per manufacturer instructions and line dried inside and the outer material is pilling (so much for being able to wear they around town). I would love to buy another pair but fear they would do the same.

I was really looking forward to having these pants for a rough western New York winter and it's true that the fleece is very warm and the pants are very comfy! They run large for sure so I would order a size down. However, it claims that they are made of rugged nylon material on the outside which unfortunately isn't very true. I have only had these pants for maybe a month, washed them twice and have not put them in the dryer and they are pilling very badly, and there are pulls in the fabric. I have only been wearing them around the house. Expected better quality for $89 pants from my favorite brand!

I bought a pair of these pants last winter. After wearing several times, the fabric on the thigh area pilled like crazy. I never wore them for any yard work or anything other than walking around outside or hanging around the house. I love the weight and the fit and the comfort, but I hesitate to buy another pair. For the price, the fabric wear was highly disappointing.

I really love these pants. I wear them both indoors and outside when running errands. I can fit long underwear under these as well. I wanted to buy another pair but they were out of stock in the petite x- small. Will have to wait until next year.
