These pants are really comfortable and great for casual hiking or just lounging around the house in the fall and mild winters. The pants are an inch or two long for me and drag on the ground when I'm walking around the house without shoes on, but with shoes or hiking boots, it's fine, no dragging.

The adjustable hems are useful where I can tighten the strings since the petite pant is slightly long for me.

These pants are comfortable, light weight, warm but not stifling. They are not bulky. Would give 5 stars if only the side cargo pockets were deep enough to securely hold my phone (5 3/4" x 3"). LLBean designers if you are listening: Women don't always carry purses. Please make pants for women that will hold our phones. Cargo pants are perfect if you don't want to carry a purse because the side leg pockets are easily assessable. But the pockets must be deep enough to securely hold a phone!

I purchased these to wear to my casual work, as it tends to get quite cold in there. These are wonderful. Soft and look great. They still look new after wear/washing often.

These pants feel like pajamas but look sporty/ athletic. I've been wearing them to the pool every morning here in Maine. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is they don't come in petite and I had to shorten them. I loved them enough to shorten them.

I live in Alaska and winters are cold. I love these pants and have two pair. I would have given them a 5 star rating except for the fact that the fabric on the outside pills after a while. It is very disappointing, but other than that, these are perfect for indoor/outdoor wear depending on temps. I wear them around the house all the time. They are not too warm, not too cool...perfect.

These pants are perfect for outdoor activities for a cold New England winter, even dining outdoors under the heaters for socially distance dinners! But they run short on me, as do most Regular length LLBean pants.(I'm just under 5 ft 7 in) Medium Tall usually fits me perfectly but not available. I am wearing these with boots so it doesn't really matter. They washed/dried nicely. The black pair seemed to run just a bit longer in the same size. I gave them 4 stars only because the length - I would have given them 5+ stars if the length had been more generous.
I just find that overall LLBean seems to be cutting back on the length of the tops, sleeves and pant lengths.

I love this pant for hiking in the winter. My legs stay nice and warm and they are not constricting at all. My only complaint is that I am thick waisted and hold all my weight there. The wide waistband bothers me and I really wish someone would make these pants with the elastic waist not so wide. Otherwise its a perfect pant. I felt it ran a bit large as I normally take and XL and a large was perfect. You do not need another layer under these.

I've worn and washed these pants several times now, and they look as good as new. No pilling, as mentioned in some of the other reviews, and they look good enough to wear anyplace casual attire is appropriate. Winters in the high desert can get bleepin' cold, so I usually wear these with silk long johns underneath, and I stay cozy. I gave them four stars rather than five only because they don't have handwarmer pockets. Don't know how many times I've wished I could stick my hands in the pockets to warm them up, without having to fiddle with a zipper that feels scratchy! I wish you would line those pockets with fleece instead of thin material, and please don't put zippers on them. (I don't know of anybody who has trouble keeping their hands in their pockets!) Maybe you could turn one of the other pockets into a "security" pocket, and put a zipper there instead.

I love the Vista camp pants and live in them during the warmer months so getting them with a fleece lining was a no brainer. I mostly like them, they keep me warm and dry. My only objection is that they are baggy overall and the legs are wide. Unless they are tucked into boots the fleece lining gets wet and stays wet at the bottom hem. Wish the legs were a little slimmer like the regular camp pants.

I like the fit and feel of the pants. They are really nice now that the mornings are getting a bit colder when I walk. The side pockets are good, the zippers are helpful to contain stuff. But the cargo and the back pockets are too small. I have a small phone (an SE) and a small wallet. Neither fit securely in either the cargo or back pockets. What's the point of having the pockets? Also, I like the idea of the webbing to secure the buttons, problem is it makes the buttons too floppy and requires two hands to get it thru the button hole. Putting flaps on the rear pockets would add some symmetry with the cargo pockets and make them more secure. I like the pants and will keep them, probably making the needed adjustments myself. Women need functional pocket too, please keep this in mind.

Overall, I like these pants. They remind me of a lightweight snowpant which is great for colder weather. Unfortunately, while wearing these on a hike, I found myself constantly having to pull them up, no matter how tight I tied the elastic drawstring. And I wish the inseam was a tiny bit longer on the petite to keep ankles warm. They're functionally good, but not a great fit.

...then they started to pill. I've been wearing these at least once a week since October, and they are incredibly comfortable but the condition of the outside is starting to make me want to demote them to home pants. Great fit, they stay up well (which can be problematic with elastic waists) and very warm.

I bought these pants for hiking and for outdoor sightseeing on an upcoming trip to Ireland. They are very comfortable, lightweight, soft, and warm. I like that the fabric has some stretch and is quick-drying. I was afraid the pants wouldn't be long enough, given my height, but they are! (I usually order medium tall length which isn't available in these pants.) The elasticized waist makes for a comfortable fit, but it's too big for me. My only complaint is that the drawstring in the waistband is made of elastic, and is so stretchy that it's essentially worthless in tightening up the waist. I had to replace it with a non-stretchy cord so that I could pull it tighter to keep the pants from falling off. Problem solved!

Loved these pants. Have them in capri length for the summer. Wanted to keep them for their quick drying, water repellant properties as well as fleece lining for winter wear. The problem for me was length. Even with adjustable (cinch toggle) at bottom of leg, the pants were too long by 4 or more inches. Returned them because I did not want to pay additional $ to have them hemmed. At this price, Why oh Why do you not offer these pants in petite length? Would recommend these pants if you can wear regular length. also, I found that I could go down a size as they will stretch slightly after wearing.

I initially bought the Medium--the size the charts say I am-- but realized that I wanted them loose for the end of the day. I have them in both colors. When the house is a bit chilly in the evening, I change into these. They are also good for dog walks on chilly days. I like them so much that I'm planning to buy the unlined version for travel (16 hours in a plane) and hiking. The cargo pockets are a bit small, my iPhone XS does not fit in and allow closure, and the slash pockets are also not deep enough for my phone to be secure. I have similar pants from another brand, but they pill after one or two wears, especially when I rest my daypack on my lap, so I'm hoping these will do better.

These pants are warm, comfortable and fit me well. However the the drawstring is useless; it's way to flimsey and a real disapointment. Also, the side pockets would be better secured with a zipper, like the vista treking pants, instead of a button.

I work in outdoor conditions. I bought these pants as an alternative to the LL Bean Trekking pants which I love but they only come in black and grey. It gets quite boring to wear black or grey every day. These camp pants are quite nice. Very comfortable and nicely light weight. I ordered a M which allows me to add some long under the pants if it's really cold. The only draw back I have is that sometimes they feel like they're falling down. These pants are so comfortable I'm ignoring that problem.
I think LL Bean has great ideas of warm outdoor pants but they need to work on their patterns. Women's bodies have changed. The two styles I mentioned are acceptable. Many of your other pants have not kept up.

I bought the lined vista pants last year and loved the lining. It was a very thin fabric but somehow kept me warm. The lining in this year's pants is thicker and creates more friction with socks. I haven't noticed any improvement in warmth so I hope they go back to the old lining.

Very soft, warm and cozy. Unfortunately too long and the ties at the bottom of the pants don't have a stop on them, so you have to knot them. The tag is VERY itchy, (ok, cut it off) and the top of the pants slide a little too low. I bought the smallest size and still they are a bit baggy and long. I'm 5'3". I still really like them but won't buy an extra pair because the fit isn't quite right. More colors would be nice too.

These pants are my total cold weather go to. The drawstring on the ankle saves the pants from getting ragged out. I am pretty small and the pants are a bit long. They also run large for sure. I had to send back the smalls for the XS. I love the fleece in them, they will be my go to camping pant as the season wears on.

I agree with other reviews that these are a great length and easily shortened by snugging the ankle tie. Love the pockets and drawstring waist option. Blue is a denim-y navy shade. The lining is so so soft! All that said, I am a solid 8-10 in pants and pear shaped. I am almost always a medium. (Sometimes a large.) In these I'm a small and they are still very loose fitting! I could probably have taken an xs.

These pants are very comfortable - super soft and light. The fit is pretty good. The elastic at the waistband is not very functional and seems flimsy. The fleece lining is not very warm at all - good for being in the house, but not for walking in the winter at all. Miss the warmth of their old fleece lined pants!

Purchased to provide warmth. Light weight and the loose attachment of the lining make them harder to don.
