These would be perfect but I have two complaints: 1. The back pockets are too shallow (my phone is forever falling out) and 2. These are not windproof (the least bit of wind cuts straight through) They're very comfortable and a great alternative to long johns + pants but you still will want a windproof layer if it's at all windy.

These are my go to pants for cool/cold weather. They provide comfort and warmth and the elastic waist fits (no belt needed). The pants wash well. I wish there was velcro on the cargo pockets instead of a button because I could lose the contents.

I have been wearing this pants almost every day for three years. Clearly I love them! With that said, there is room for improvement. The waist band string is stretchy which doesn't help actually tighten the pants when needed like when I fill my pockets with things for hiking. Speaking of hiking and pockets, it would be beneficial to have bigger cargo pockets that can actually hold things. Right now, they are good for AirPods, chapstick and IDthat's about it. Again, I wear these pants almost every day so I like them, they could just use some tweaks to be perfect.

These are great pants; however, they run big. I'm a medium, but took a small. Unfortunately I'm a medium height and the small could be a inch or two longer. But warm, comfy pants nonetheless.

I wear these pants all the time in fall and winter. They are comfy cozy and don't look like sweats. I have two comments that I hope LL heeds. One is, please offer petite sizes in longer leg lengths! Petite doesn't always mean short legs! These are perfect in the rise, but another inch in the leg length would make them perfect all around. The other comment is make the cargo leg pockets at least long enough to hold a phone. Why bother with a pocket there at all if it's not going to be useful?

I wanted a pair of pants that would fit over a base layer and provide some wind/moisture protection for snowshoeing. I also really like that the light layer of fleece is bonded to the shell to make on/off easier and to keep the lining from twisting. The leg openings are wide enough to fit over the tops of my boots which will help to keep the snow out. These pants cover all of the bases.

Great comfortable pants for those brisk long hikes. Just wish those side pockets were a tad deeper (to hold a cell phone / or wallet). Also wish they came in petite length. But wore them a lot on my long hikes in the Scotland Highlands on those brisk days.

These pants fit really well. I have a small waist and muscular hips & thighs. Initially I ordered them in medium petite, but they were too big so I exchanged them for small petite which is perfect. The fleece lining is awesome for winter. The only thing I don't like about them is the rip stop fabric, which started pilling about the 3rd time I washed them. Now they have little pills (knots of fabric) on the outside of the pants where lint collects, especially between the thighs. These pills are too small to cut off so I'm stuck with them. Other than that, they're good pants. I followed the care instructions when I washed them.

I walk 5 miles daily, and these pants are great for cool and cold weather and layering for extreme weather. They run big (I'm a smaller medium, these are a bit baggy), but that's OK for layering. I'm going to buy a small for next year but wear them for casual but not walking pants.

Great pants, nice and warm for those bitter days. Not quite the same fit as a the non-lined ones, I need to hitch them up sometimes. That's why it's four stars not five.

Comfortable and warm! The one drawback for me is the lining is loose and therefore the pants feel baggy when walking.

Runs big/ roomy in general for an average body type, but length seems true to fit. Convenient waist tie and hidden elastic around ankles that can be tightened. Not super thick but warm and well made.

These pants are super comfortable and warm. I have been wearing them hiking when it is 10 degrees. I just wish they were slimmer and not so baggy.

I own two pairs of the "regular" camp pants and love them but in the cold winter here in New England, they did not cut it! I was thrilled when I found the lined version but learned quickly that the size I have in the regular ones did not work with the lined pants. I had to return those and order one size up. Just a recommendation for those who may already own the unlined ones. I do love them - very comfy and so far, provides the extra layer needed on chilly days while I am out and about. ....I just wished they were not so expensive!!!! These were a splurge for sure and I would love to own another pair but the cost is steep!

Very warm pants to be outside for hours in cold New England winters. Nice stretchy material and drawstring waistband.

I had bought these in a petite size because I am 5'3. I tried the regular size because I wanted a color other than black - the only color offered in petite sizes. As predicted they are too long but because they have a drawstring bottom it's somewhat workable especially when worn with winter boots. I do love these pants - the amount of lining is perfect - not too bulky, not too warm. The drawstring waste is yet another plus - very comfortable. Very functional. I highly recommend.

Pants are very comfortable but waist could be a little tighter. The tie is hard to tighten around waist

The most comfortable pants I think I've ever bought, the lining is so soft and warm, plenty of pockets. The waist string is very stretchy and adjustable. I should have gone with reg rather than tall, they are a bit to long, I didn't want to return them, so maybe I'll just get another pair.

Was looking for lined pants that I did not have to wear a belt with. I have arthritis in my hands and buckles can be problematic. These are perfect in that regard. They stay up where they're supposed to with no creeping downward during the day. The sizing was pretty accurate, I went up a size and purchased the XL so I could have room for a base layer and they are pretty roomy even with that layer. I am usually a size 16, sometimes 18 for reference. If I bought again I would try the Large. I wore them out to care for my horses this morning and it was 30 degrees and I had to put a base layer on under them as they really weren't warm enough without. This was why I gave them a 4 star instead of 5. Oh, and the tall length is generous! And for you horse lovers out there, hay and shavings don't stick to these pants! Yay!

I've recently discovered LL Bean's Vista pants and they were such a perfect fit (difficult to find for someone my size & weight), I decided to get the lined version for the winter. The fit was very snug. If I could have sized up, I would have but sadly, they don't do bigger sizes. The lining was extremely soft & comfortable; which is why I'm giving this 4 stars. Docking one star because the fit isn't the same as the regular Vista. The exterior pants are essentially the same size as the original Vista but the added lining makes it a more snug fit and the back of the waistband rides down when you bend over. If the regular Vista fits you just right, I recommend sizing up in the lined version.

Hi! I am an L.L.Bean Student Ambassador and I chose this as one of my items to showcase! These pants are so warm! I was in RMNP and was worried about getting cold, but these were perfect! They are so warm but also super moveable for hiking! They do get super warm when you move inside with a heater. I also would recommend sizing down!

Wow! As soon as first put these pants on I was in love. The fleece lining is so soft and comfortable. These pants are perfect for when you may be hiking or camping but don't want to wear sweatpants or leggings. I love that they have so many pockets, they are great for hanging out around the campsite and keeping all of my belongings such as my phone and pocket knife handy. They kept me warm in ~40 degree F weather. My only complaint is the material, it began to pill after only one wear.

I bought pants like this a couple of years back and have liked that pair. I thought I was buying the same thing but when I received them I could tell the outside material was thinner like parachute silk and less of a canvas type of material. That is why I gave it 4 stars. I am 5'7" 155 lbs. I ordered Med tall so I could cuff the legs. The sizing is good for waist and length. I bought black and gray and am happy with colors. I don't like the parachute silk outside material for these pants. I will wear them but I'm not sure about warmth this winter.
