I love the quarter zip merino tops! I am an avid golfer here in Idaho and I wear these fall and winter! I have 6 of these tops and I have a heated vest and that is my golf wardrobe in the winter! Besides keeping me warm, they are stylish and comfortable! Have bought several for gifts too!

Love the product. I was looking for active wear that I can wear multiple days on vacation that would smell after one use. This is perfect. Also love the slim fit

I've worn it both on its own and as a base layer. Purchased the bright red to add a little color to my life!

I love love love these shirts. I am a touring cyclist on a three-year tour of Europe and these are all I wear in any weather. I layer them with a vest in colder weather and wear them as is in the summer. The beauty of merino wool is that it warms you when you need it, and it cools you when you need it. Also, it never stinks. Never. I can wear these shirts for weeks without washing them and no stink. To make them last, simply wash in a mesh laundry bag and dry flat. They are magical. #sweepstakes

This is a great product because it is not too thick. Excellent for layering. Good style with just the right warmth. Good fit too!

It looks good enough to wear it as a sweater over another 150 merino base layer. I prefer to wear 2 thin layers to one heavier one, but I live in fairly moderate climate.

Love the color! Feels a bit large but will keep it anyway because it's really soft and I don't want to return it. #sweepstakes

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Fit and size were perfect but after wearing it for about 1/2 hour, I started itching and my skin turned red! I think I might have an allergy to the wool or something else used to make this base layer. Otherwise, I loved it but had to return.

Great for a thin base layer as advertised. I bought it as a light layer over a shirt, and it's a bit too thin/see through for that. I'll keep it as a staple for in between weather layering like it's designed for. Great quality.

Almost 100% perfect except for that zipper pull which usually falls off/is lost a couple months into the winter. The zipper pull is attractive but it always fails.

I have been buying smart wool products for decades and have several lightweight quarter zips. I bought this one in my usual size and it seems that the fit has changed to be more boxy and baggy. Unfortunately, by the time I received it, the sale had ended, and I could not exchange it at the sale price.

I have been wearing smart wool for decades. I have more than six of the quarter zip turtlenecks, all size medium. This time I ordered medium and it is big and boxy through the body. Unfortunately, I bought it on sale and I have to return it, and it cannot be exchanged. So if I want to size small, I have to pay full price.

The product is fine and color is perfect, however I had to knock off some stars because the multi color band that Smartwool adds around the interior collar is very itchy against my skin and I need to wear an underlayer to protect my skin.

Previous version was great so wanted 2 so I could alternate. Current version is 12% Nylon and much thinner. Feels synthetic, which is not what I expected from Smartwool. Wish I had not worn it before checking fabric content more closely.

I purchased a similar base layer more than 5 years ago. My partner kept wearing mine so I decided to buy them their own. I was so disappointment at the material. Sure its wool, but it's so thin compared to the one I bought. Same quarter zip base, why do companies do this? Especially, disappointment because Smartwool as marketed itself as high quality, hence the higher cost. This base layer feels it's going to rip on my toddler hang nail if I'm not vigilant.

I use for cool weather . I have purchased same product twice in past and was very pleased, not this time. The material you use now is almost sheer it's so thin. The quality has gone down and I would not recommend or purchase again. Very noticeable and disappointing. I love Smartwool products and unfortunately this one was disappointing

Very disappointed in this product. I have two other (albeit older) 1/4-zip tops, size L, which fit perfectly, but this one is too big and too boxy. Not at all form fitting. Also, the wool fabric feels as though it's been woven with plastic or some other synthetic material. Not at all form-fitting, and not comfortable against the skin.

Absolutely awful quality!! I have purchased the zipup before and my husband has several. A couple months ago they went on sale, so I jumped on the opportunity to save money and buy one. However when I opened it, I found the shirt to be rice paper thin, and when I tried it on I found it super itchy! And apparently it's not even 100% wool, it is only about 88% and the rest is nylon. I am so disappointed, and quite shocked that smartwool would provide such shoddy quality.
